The excellent surgeon, Dr. Brett Dales, of Advantage Orthopedics, said after my one-month follow-up, that I was 2 weeks ahead of most patients at that point in recovery. I owe that to Dr. Miranda's care and guidance with the specific exercises and one-on-one sessions that were needed. He also advised me about things to get to make the swelling and pain manageable. This guy is simply amazing and such a great partner in the healing process.

After a car accident resulting in a head injury, I self-referred to the clinic as I saw that they had a concussion specialist. I was so lucky to encounter Jesse and to have his care throughout my 6 month rehabilitation process, leading me to regain full-functioning. I hated the lazer. I hated the maze. I hated the dot on the wall. And, I hated the restrictions of basically not using my brain. BUT... I followed the rules, stayed the course, enjoyed banter with Jesse and trusted him fully. The words "thank you" will never convey my earnest appreciation for all that he and his assistant, Katie, did for me. In the past 6 months, I have run 500 miles and plan on running 500 more (sounds like there's a song lyric hiding there-- I swear I didn't mean it!) in preparation for some races I have planned in September/October. I've done my homework on running form, seen probably dozens of YouTube videos and thought I knew what I was doing as far as running was concerned. I have a tendency to start cramping on my right leg and thought to invest the money into PT to make sure I was running correctly. And boy was it worth it! Right from the get go, Jessie identified the weakness in my right foot and from the video analysis we identified the issue-- the weakness caused my right foot to compensate by over pronating while I run. Seeing my foot almost collapse from the pronation was both eye opening and humbling. Jesse set me up with a few exercises in order to correct my gait and I'm grateful to have come in-- I'd like to correct my form BEFORE I put a ton more miles on it. My calves and ankles are also grateful! If you're thinking about undertaking any athletic endeavor, getting PT is well worth it. If you have had a history of pain or injury in the past, PT will help you with form and strengthening the weak links and the energy leaks in your exercises. And ESPECIALLY if you have pain, they'll try to work with your insurance so that you won't have to pay everything out of pocket. Thanks!

Jason (the other physical therapist) and the rest of the staff were awesome, too. I immediately felt the warm energy when I arrived for my first visit. Everyone is compassionate and professional. I felt cared for instead of feeling like "just a chart". Cameron's approach is very professional, and he is extremely knowledgeable. He customized my treatment and really listened to make sure the treatment plan addressed all my needs. I had some post-surgery complications and Cameron helped me through them like the pro he is. He has a confident presence and still maintains compassion. I drive from Gresham OR because I won't trust anyone else with my physical therapy needs. I highly recommend Cameron and Jason. I reschedule appointments and the person on the phone can't find it in the schedule, or doesn't change the appointment. The front desk is inconsistent and often incompetent (I think it's often the PT staff covering). No one seems to know what's going on. Their billing department is a mess. I pay my copay every single time I go and yet I get bills in the mail from collections. I complain to the front desk, they say they'll take care of it, they don't. It's a nuisance and frustrating. The good news: Tyler is a great acupuncturist and he's the only reason I go and keep coming back. But I am on the fence about whether I want the hassle of this place just to get treatment.

THE RESOLVE: I'm…read morereally on the fence about the two stars... I'm going to leave it because, in the end, what I wanted is what I got. I wanted a zero balance on my bills as promised by the staff at the Clackamas location, but the lack of any, ANY, accountability just really puts me at that 1 star door again. I love the 2 other reviews from "yelpers" with 1 review prior to here and with no information on why they got 5 star service. Those reviews are why people don't trust yelp. Sad. Emily was quick to apologize, was calm, collected and pleasant-voiced and diligent about how she was new and the location was still improving, which I understand, I do. However, I never heard her say that what they told me was incorrect or explain exactly what happened and why it looked as if nothing had been done with my claim. I didn't disconnect understanding anything I expected too. What about other work injury clients and claims? Would they change paperwork on first visits, did I misunderstand? In the end, a. It doesn't really matter b. it's not my business to know if they change anything, really and c. that's why real reviews matter and that's all I can do. Another supervisor was involved with the billing manager and I guess that's something, but I'm really wondering about the next person behind me or if it was someone's grandpa who was being bamboozled. So. I wait the couple days to get the new billing. The worse was yet to come because reading the letter sent with the updated billing was disappointing. It stated that "solely based on your dissatisfaction" they would dismiss the bill. That was it. I was just a little shocked. I get it. They don't want to take the blame, but it was surprising to again, not read anyone taking any accountability for what was said and done. I mean, is that too much to ask? Really? In the grand scheme of things... For that letter to have included a "I apologize I wasn't able to communicate better with you." " I'm sorry I wasn't able to contact you in a way to have better suited your needs as our patient." Really? THAT'S customer service. I'm picky. I know. Oh well. Tha's why my reviews are hardcore about customer service and taco shell crispy'ness. I love both. I grew up with both. One a family business. One me lucky enough to be geographically located next to real tacos, all the time. I digress. I'm sorry to report Clackamas TA, I'm not able to up my most recent updated review. Ryan helped me tremendously, and gave me an incredibly useful exercise plan to help with not only my stiff neck, but also some back and core strength too. After a month of sticking to that exercise routine, I felt much stronger, particularly just going up and down stairs more easily! Love that the exercise plan comes with a website with videos, so for someone like me with poor short-term memory, having a reference to fall back to was incredibly valuable!
