Stopped in here for a pair of hiking shoes after going all over the Tanger Outlets looking for the right size. Not only did Sportsman's have a superb pair, they were on sale and the right size. Paying full price for these particular shoes was not an option. Sale for the win. On top of that, there are so many cool things here to see and add to my future wish list. I could get in trouble in a place like this. An outdoor lovers dream. Can't comment on the service, because we pretty much knew what we want and are self-service masters. Visited Sportsmans warehouse today at the Tanger Outlet. Very impressive store if you are an outdoors person. They have everything you need. Riffles, pistols, AR's, ammo, hunting supplies, fishing supplies, clothing, shoes, boots, kayaks and boating accessories, etc. The prices are good, especially on guns and ammo. My husband purchased a tree stand today. Everything went smoothly with the purchase, and the customer service was great. I would recommend shopping here for all your outdoor needs. read more

Those review is SOLELY for Darlene one of the Managers. The store is excellent and all customer service before this and since have been stellar, as it should be. I received 7 items from the store online this past week. Two of the items I came into the store, with the intention of returning and purchasing upwards of $500 worth of other items. There was an older gentleman employee, alone at the checkout counters. As I was informing him why I was there, he cut me off, noticing a decal on one of the items. He said "that's clearance we can't take that." I responded with " well I purchase it online and it didn't say it was on clearance, so how is that my problem?" I then showed him the order from the website and he simply called a manager. The manager, Darlene, seemed pretty perturbed as she walked up to us. Before I could explain anything, she was still walking behind the other sales associate and looking at the item with the clearance decal. So typically as we all know a manager responds to either calm a situation and/or use her or his store level authority to make exceptions for things that are not the fault of the customer. Darlene missed that day in Management Training, along with professionalism. Darlene insisted that I was not allowed to return one of the items. I again showed where it was not marked as clearance and that it was even the wrong color. She angrily pointed at the other associate and yelled, "this one time, this time we will do it!!" I asked her why was she losing her bearing, she was not doing me a favor, I was not in the wrong, the website was. She then yelled that I was talking over her. Keep in mind, this is the Manager. She then stormed off saying I'm not taking anything now. I called the Corporate Office to file a report which they gladly took, along with the compensatory apology. I am to receive a follow up. I then placed my items back and still bought what I planned. Darlene needs so much more training and she needs it immediately. read more

The business itself is super nice! Very clean & most of the staff are always kind and helpful. The last few times we have visited, we have purchased guns. The men who work back there have MAJOR egos and use profanity like its their job. There are two kind workers back there, of which I dont know their names (I believe one started with a C). I was waylaid at the front door by a man hawking their advertisements for store credit cards (at 25%+ interest rates!). Yikes. Then I realized that apparently golf doesn't rate it's own section in a sportsman's warehouse, even in the Charleston area. But I looked over a fine selection of firearms and was then very disappointed to find a paltry selection of ammo. Even by 2021s standards not only was it paltry, but the prices were astronomical. There's no way I could bring myself to pay the prices they were asking - some at more than $2.00 per round. (Golfing is looking more affordable than target shooting these days) I've been to this store before a number of times and had always found far more ammo and far more reasonable prices for what was available. To be mauled at the front of the store by a credit-card hawker really started this putting on a bad foot, but it just got worse from there. I don't see myself returning here. I sure hope things improve. While there is some money set aside for things like this, I can't justify the gas money for what I did see. read more

I really like the selection of different items that they have available and the good values available on most items. It is always fun to shop here and see everything before making a purchase. On July 23 2021, I purchased a LEM Burger Press for 24.99. The product did not work. Just a bad design nothing more. I cleaned up the item and placed back in the box with all packing and instructions and with the original sale reciept. When I went in to return the the 2 ladies working the desk acted like I stole the item, and had to get a manager. Ki was her name ("It is not a common name and I should remember it." to quote Ki the manager on duty). Since I tried the product ( and failed) it could not be returned. I can see if LEM will do anything. Their corporate customer service will not doing anything either. The only way to return anything to Sportsman Warehouse is not to open or touch the products. DO NOT SHOP AT SPORTSMAN WAREHOUSE. ****RESPONSE to your reply about the review. I have it on my voice mail from Kay your customer service supervisor. Laughable customer service, arrived an hour before closing and received the most upright disrespectful help. Came in to pick up an online order and received a response that I'd have to pay the employees overtime since they were "closing" soon. Mind you, they had one full hour until the store closed. Then when asking if I could get the promotional item that was said to come with my purchase, the response I got was "I don't know anything about that, you'll need to take it up with corporate" yet I showed them the order number with the promotion listed. When asking who else I could speak with to get this resolved, I was told that I was speaking with the official gun manager of the store and that he couldn't help me. First off, if you don't want to work until you close, then change the store hours or find another job. Customer service today is sad and the "help" I received was pure disrespect to a customer who just spent money at your store. Bought a gun brand from them that had a major safety issue with trigger. Not their fault but they would not do anything to make it right. Even charged $40 to send the gun back to the manufacture. Waited two weeks and called for update and Glenn at the gun counter (with an extreme attitude) told me they had not even started the paperwork yet... and that I can come in and send it off myself. Not the first bad gun buying experience either, I tried to by a cheap truck gun and the salesman told me he refused to sale me that specific gun because it was a cheap made gun that has problems. I will finding a local business and will never spend another dollar in this store read more

Visited the gun counter last week and purchased a $350 scope. Noticed that it didn't have lense covers and called the store and was told to come in and pick them up. Upon arrival I was told by a associate at the counter that cheap scopes don't come with lense covers. It wasn't the fact that I made a 40 mile round trip for nothing that upset me. It was the insulting comment from a associate about my purchase being cheap. Not only did his comment get red in the face from embarrassment and anger, it devalues a customer in general. Terry at the counter is a true professional in the ways of knowledge and experience. I will search him out in the future for a great experience. The Sportsmans Warehouse needs to be more selective at who they place at such a bust money making corner of the store. read more

Kind of disappointed in the selection for woman's fishing gear and clothes (or lack of as I should say) they have more than 50+ shirts for men but only 10 options for women, it was way better when it was field and stream. Also, they have no selection for women's boots and shoes, nor do they have a selection for woman's hunting gear. read more
