Ordered fishing equipment online because there is no store in Butte, Mt. Order was to be shipped to my home but they set up the order to ship to the store in Helena, Mt (65 miles away). When I called to correct this, they said it will take 3-5 days to correct the order and 7-10 days to ship it to me. I was told by customer service, their website is set up to default to "ship to store" because as a company, they want the customers to come to the store... The whole reason to shop online is to avoid or an inability to visit a store and get your products shipped directly to you. I will NEVER shop at Sportsmans warehouse again as long as I live, and will tell every other sportsman I know "NOT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY AND VALUABLE TIME ON SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE" I has simular experiences with them when I lived in Colorado If I could give them a zero stars, I would. read more

We went in to purchase a $500 generator. We stood there looking at them for 10 minutes with no one stopping to ask we needed help. There was an associate that came out of the back room & I said I was going up to get help. I went to the checkout & asked the associate there if we could get help with the generators. He said yes & looked at the associate that came out of the back room. No one came over & that associate went over to help someone else. Apparently ammo or whatever it was is more important. We left & told the cashier that he can tell them they just lost a $500 sale and he just nodded & said ok. No I'm sorry, nothing. We will look elsewhere & that was the generator my husband wanted. No wonder you have a shortage of associates, because nobody comes back. read more

I went in yesterday on Vertans day to take advantage of my Veterans discount to purchase a duck hunting shotgun I had been researching on their website. I took a screen shot to show them the shotgun I wanted to buy. In less than 2 minutes I was denied a sale. I had completed my Veterans verification via their website and additionally brought my DD-214. I indicated that to the sales person. Said just go someplace else to purchase your gun. I was was excited to purchase a new shotgun for duck hunting. As a veteran, on Veteran's day, never felt so humiliated. I called the manager later that evening. No empathy on their part. Then they got sparky in the end, Sorry you were denied but we thank you for your service. A guess a 65 year old, veteran, retired, was denied because I was a high straw risk, that was determined in less then 2 minutes of interaction with a sales clerk. After all these years of hunting and fishing, I guess their business model and my values are misaligned. I reckon, my business is better appreciated elsewhere. When I did purchase the shotgun later that day at another store, they actually thank me for my service and was glad to sale me the shotgun on Veteran's day. Sportsmans Warehouse did not treat me very well and I do respect their right to deny the sale. I just won't be doing business with them any longer. read more

Sportsmans Warehouse would not sell me a firearm because I am a woman. I went to my local sportsmans warehouse store to purchase a Springfield 10mm. My local store would not sell me a firearm because I was a woman. I had looked at the 10mm at a different store and decided to come to sportsmans because it was a better deal and I have purchased several firearms through them over the years. I went in with my boyfriend. The clerk approached my boyfriend who indicated I was there to look at the Springfield 10mm. They pulled it out and I said I wished to purchase, again I had looked at it at another store. I was asked to fill out the ATF443. After doing so I was harassed by the store manager who indicated he was the only manager over the whole store, his staff backed his "credibility" saying he owned/opened the store. I was harassed and accused of purchasing the firearm for my boyfriend. I was grilled with questions that were personal and unfounded. They asked my boyfriend if he had an account with sportsmans because he did not they refused the sell me the firearm. My account/history did not matter nor my honest answering of their harassing questioning. I was accused of being escalated, I was not. I was firm and direct. I was in no way out of line. I was dismissed and disregarded and I belive it was because I am a woman and I am disappointed that is thier brand. Had my boyfriend been buying the firearm I belive my presence would not have mattered, but because I was a woman purchasing a firearm having my boyfriend presence did? On my ATF 443 I legally and honestly answered the firearm was for me. The store said my behaviors of not inspecting before purchasing was a red flag indicator from corporate training. Additionally, I informed the staff and manager harassing me that even if I was purchasing the firearm for my boyfriend there are no legal issues as he can legally own a firearm. To which I was told to calm down because the store manager "came to me calm", again I was not unregulated at any point. I suppose the brand is in thier name sports"mans". I understand I am unwelcome in their stores. read more

Lacks in good customer service - waited for assistance by the muzzleloaders/blackpowder, and when an employee exited from the back room right by where I was standing, I said in a loud voice, "I have a question for you" as I wanted to make a purchase on several pounds of the Alliant Black MZ as they only had one bottle on the shelf. Well this employee kept walking down to the gun counter, and the last I saw of him he was talking with someone else. There were several other employee's behind the gun counter who I guess never realized that I was in full view and needing assistance. I decided to just leave, and spend my money elsewhere. I would suggest Sportsman's Warehouse give better customer service in the future. read more

I wanted to make a $500 purchase using some of my loyalty points but did not have my loyalty number. The store could not provide it. They use a third party vendor to manage the loyalty program and gave me an 800 number to call. There was a 90+ minute wait for service. The customer service representative's response was "sorry, those are the only people who can help you". What a terrible customer experience. I will take my business to a competitor who values it. read more

Accept checks..... Me and my family were getting materials like ammunition and targets to go shooting at the local shooting range, come to figure out that they don't take checks anymore. This was not only upsetting to me but my family as well. We didn't have any forms of paying for the items so we had to walk away empty handed. read more

I usually like this store and receive great customer service back in the gun department, today included. However, they never have enough, or sometimes any, registers open. I went to check out today (Saturday) around noon and not a single register was open. The customer service window was the only one open, which isn't uncommon, but today there were 12+ people standing in line wanting to return items. I put my stuff back and walked out. How is a store supposed to make any money if there isn't anyone there to take it from you?? read more

Went in here to buy a handgun. Good selection and great help from salesperson named Alton. He spent a lot of time with us, showing different options, didn't rush us, and was very thorough with all the paperwork. I feel like i really made a well informed choice and got the right gun for me.
