This review is not for the store but for the online order process and customer service. But I live in Nampa and need to leave a review somewhere: If I could give ZERO stars I would. I ordered two separate bows online. The first one was listed in stock when I ordered. The order then showed pending. I had to call and find out that there was a glitch. So SW processed the same order same bow giving me free overnight shipping. The bow was supposedly in stock but it ultimately it was not. That order had to be cancelled. I bought a second bow online and the shipping delivery date provided was August 7th per the SW website. The order was put through and I checked tracking though UPS. UPS website stated they had not received the bow yet. I called SW customer service. They confirmed that the bow had shipped from their warehouse and would be delivered by August 7th. On August 6th I received and email from UPS staying the bow would be delivered on August 12th. Just terrible customer service and coordination. read more

On the 12th of November I ordered a $500 gift card for my wife. It is now the 25th of November and no card. I contacted sportsman's Warehouse and they said that it was shipped on the 12th. So I asked if I could just cancel it and I would just give her the cash. So much for my gift huh. They explained that they had 14 business days in order to get the card to my home. 14 business days to deliver a gift card is absolutely outrageous. I do a lot of business with sportsman's I like the business style as well as the prices. But don't deal with him in a gift card. If this is the way they handle delivering them how will they handle honoring them. read more

I'm usually a patron of this chain. However, I will never go back to the Nampa store. Essentially they did a type of bait and switch. Their policy is to price match multiple competitors, including Cabela's. I went in with a Cabela's price match and they wouldn't honor it due to the fact that it was on sale by about 15%. It was an item that was usually $79.99 and marked down to around $64. I showed them the current price at Cabela's and it was in stock at the local store in Boise. I spoke with the manager and she was extremely rude and told me that they will not honor a sale price. I showed her the current details of price matching on the Sportsmans warehouse website. She huffed a little bit and said it was up to her anyways to match it, and she was not gonna match it in my case. Extremely rude and unprofessional are the two adjectives to describe her with this interaction. I can't believe she's actually a manager at this store. Buyer beware! read more

Think twice before purchasing sporting goods from the Nampa Idaho store! We purchased a fishing backpack nine days ago! My husband took it salmon fishing for five days- he didn't like things about it but he was hours away fishing so used it for five days! He tried to return it today- we did not have receipt but when the manager insisted it was used for six weeks or more - we looked up the purchase in our chase credit card to prove it was purchased nine days ago! Manager David in the fishing department was so rude and said he was not letting us return it- exchange it - basically we could shop somewhere else! What has happened to customer service these days! We will not be shopping at this location ever again and will repeat this poor behavior to anyone who will listen!! read more

Got a pair of shoes as a gift and went to exchange them 5 days after purchase. They were worn once and were too big. The salesperson told my g.f. to buy a bigger size because they "run small" and Sportsman Warehouse would not take them back because they "looked" worn. Always love coming to Sportsman's Warehouse. This store is my go to place for hiking shoes, hunting, fishing, hiking bags, ammo, and so much more. The customer service here was good when I came to this store. Prices are fair for most items. Last time I checked they will price match. They also do veteran discounts witch is always a plus! They don't do discounts on hunting and fishing license here thought. You better of going to the main office for that. It was a bit busy when I came in here and waiting in line took a bit longer than I though but they got us the assistance we needed. This store is clean and well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just wished they had more staff during the busy hours getting people through the lines. But I guess that means they have plenty of people coming to the store. So they must be doing something right, if they are so busy. Honestly, if it wasn't for the wait times, which is not that bad anyways, it would be perfect haha. Sportsman's Warehouse - Bought this water bottle! - Sports Wear Near Me - Nampa, Idaho

66 years old. Veteran 10 years Airborne Infantry, Weapons Specialist. Decided to purchase a expensive rifle last month on-line. It took 3 months to find the rifle I liked. I found a Christensen Arms company Rifle 338 Lapua. Some back ground first. I had a Qua-triple Open Heart Surgery last year and I am Diabetic and have eye problems. I have not bought a rifle or any fire arm since the 1970's. I was caught unaware of all the paper work that needed to be filled out. The day I came to pick up the rifle at Sportsman's Warehouse I did not think to bring my glasses. The young clerk became irritated because I was slower to figure out and read things faster than the rest there. After the policy ritualize paper work was finished the clerk found quickly that I had missed a question. He then offered to give a refund? Is that normal? Now I was a little irritated. He said to come back and try again next month. Policy says I must wait 30 days before filling out the paper work. Ok then. I said I will be back. I did not know this, but he had kept my ID that I handed to him earlier. So, I had to come back to get it after a few days when they alerted me. I live on the other side of town and I was irritated with their impracticability. I think the manager did not like the minor eye of derision I slanted to him. I come to find out later that he had sent my rifle back and supposedly refunded my money days after this had all happened. His opinion must be that I was a bad man and that he did not want to do business with me? What the F...? Personal problem, ya think? If you are a veteran please do use these Waco's for anything, or you may find the same truth and a hard lesson graciously handed out with no tolerance intended! I can not make this any clearer that I did not abuse or mistreat anyone with disrespect. But they are quick to show customers that they need nothing from you and if you act as if what you paid for is yours before it leave there store you are mistaken. Trying to look at the rifle out of the box. It's like a little kid who with not let you play with his toys. I almost got angry because I could see what was mounting with these idiots but as Veterans you know it's better to hold your water and act on a better level. After spending thousands of dollars at this location over the last few years I was extremely disappointed today by one of their employees. I went in to purchase a archery release. I presented Ronni an add from Cabelas that will start in a few days. (10.00 off of a 50.00 purchase). She (Ronni) stated there was nothing she could do to price match the item. I stated to her (Ronni) that honoring the price match would save me from driving to Cabelas. She (Ronni) shot me an "Oh well" look and allowed me to walk out the door, FOR EVER!!!! over a 10.00 price match. My passion is hunting and fishing. I spend a lot of money yearly on sporting goods. Buyer beware. Don't buy your backpacking food here. We recently purchased our backpacking food here and over bought by 3 packages. When I brought in my receipt to return the items they said they won't return food. It's non-perishable freeze dried food, that's been in my temperature controlled house and they won't take back. Moreover, one employee had me pay for my fishing license and go to Idaho Fish and Game which was wrong. I spent 3 wasted hours chasing down incorrect information from this store. Dalton in the archery department had me set up in no time and the price was way to low for what did but he refused to charge more! Excellent employee! I went into the Sportman's Warehouse yesterday to buy a handgun. I saw a better price on the Brownells website and asked Sportsman's Warehouse to price match. The Sportsman's Warehouse website says that they will price match the Brownells website. Yet the employees, including the manager, refused to honor the price match policy. So, I went to Cabela's instead. Cabela's had the same policy and matched the Brownells website. I used to shop regularly at Sportsman's Warehouse. I'll just go to Cabela's instead because Sportsman's is dishonest. read more

The only reason I gave 1 star is because there wasn't a zero. Went to buy ammo wanted to get a 100 rounds for me and the boy to go shooting. Over priced making prices and said there was a limit. Both the Nampa and Meridian stores have terrible customer service. Honestly, save yourself the headache and go to Cabelas.

Nice store with a good selection of products. They have something for everyone, you don't have to be an outdoorsman to enjoy the store, but it helps. Knives, guns, fishing equipment and camo everywhere but they also have everyday clothing and footwear too. Generators and backpacks or a flashlight and a box a ammo, maybe a atv or small utility trailer. There is a never ending supply of small clips or ties and cords. There is not much they don't have or at least can't get. All the employees are super nice friendly and genuinely want to help. read more

Do not buy guns from these guys..........my son bought and paid for a rifle, we did the background check and was delayed.......no problem, the gun can be released in 3 days........except they refuse to release it.......it seems the FBI is so over loaded that they have not sent the release in nearly 30 days (not nessisary after 3 days) but they refuse to release it. Now we will either go get our money back or have to restart the process all over. If we had bought at Cabelas, the rifle would already be home. read more

Kudos to Manager Ben Bodner and his staff for assistance in finding a remedy for repairing my medically necessary vinyl inflatible prosthetics cushion[s] . Even though it is not a service normally provided, Ben and his staff took extra time to find an affordable solution and help me apply it. My dexterity is not the best and a new replacement from the Veterans Administration medical center is 4 weeks away. They also found me an easy-to-use pump with the right adapters to maintain correct pressure on all of my prosthetic devices at home .
