We had a great experience with Bob. My wife and I were staying at Fool's Hollow, and she decided she'd like to try her hand at fishing. Neither of us knew where to start, but we found Bob working at Sportsman's Wharehouse and he walked us through every step of getting a basic set up together. He got us a reel, and spooled it with line, suggested baits, and gave us lots of good advice along the way. Sportsman's Warehouse is a sporting good store for outdoor sports. It is in a shopping center with a Big Lots, Arron's and Harbor Freight, unlike the other Sportsman's Warehouses that I've been to that have been stand alone stores. It may not be as big as others but it's great to have here in this smaller town. We went in to look at the Fishing Report, which is a board as you enter the store that has all the local lakes and what fish they're catching and how good the fishing is. It's a great resource for anyone new to the area especially. We went in and looked around in the various departments. They have a decent selection of inventory. There were sales going on in clothing for winter clothes. They didn't have a lot left which was too bad considering it had been cold and snowy lately. There were some cool kayaks that had decent prices. The fishing gear is a huge area with all sorts of doo dads. We met a guy at the Fishing Report board who gave a tip on where to go and what to use. So we ended up bringing a couple wooly boogers (honestly, that's the name) in a certain hue. Do they get the style mags that say what color of lure is in this year?? And a couple bobbers. I really appreciate his sharing info this way. Ryan(?) in the fishing department was really helpful. I'm sure we will be back to get another color of doo dad when it's summer season and warm colors are in. This is a fun place to wander. Check out the bags of candy on the way out. Came in to ask a question about a gun we purchased here and after being ignored for 10 minutes my husband asked Codie the question, this totally rude guy just blew him off and walked away. I'm sure in these times when businesses have a hard time finding employees his job will be safe. This is definitely my first experience with such rudeness. read more

The hiring manager is very unprofessional never calls back after saying multiple times she was going to never did not once. She never took name or number either. Was supposed to let me know if i got the job and still has yet to call me back I have to call them back after waiting atleast a day everytime. read more

I saw the ad...primers on sale...woo hoo! So I jumped in my ride with cash in my pocket and set off to buy a few thou. Well, you can guess the outcome. None of the primers I use were in stock, but we have these for a bit more! Why advertise something you don't have a few extra of? I try to buy from local businesses, but it keeps getting harder to justify. Two stars cause they carry some loading supplies, tho not the powders I use, of course. read more

Very disappointed in my most recent excursion to the Sportsman's warehouse. My hubby and I were looking to buy a new tent and stopped in to checkout their selection, the first thing I noticed was NO ONE was in the front of the store! We cruised around the camping area and well, it wasn't the easiest thing to find! My husband went to customer service to ask the associate if they sell tents and the woman's response was "yeah we do" and just looked at us, so my husband had to ask where are they located. She responded with back there in the camping section, which was absolutely no help to us at all as we had looked all over the camping area. My husband asked her to call someone to meet us in the department for help and we went back to wondered around for a few minutes before finally finding them ourselves. We continued to wait for some assistance to ask questions however no one NEVER showed up. As we left we informed the associate at "customer service" that no one ever came to help and we were leaving. This was at 9:45am and there may have been 1 other customer in the store and I saw a total of 3 associates. We ended up buying a tent from a competitor and are happy to say we had excellent customer service there!!! read more

This is like a lite version of the real Sportsman's Warehouse stores elsewhere. The store itself is a lot smaller but still seems to have a lot of the same stuff. The layout is very easy to navigate. Employees are pretty good and attentive. Travis at the gun counter is super friendly and helpful. Another older gentleman with a beard was not so helpful. All in all a good trip. read more
