I started going here regularly this Fall when I began school at WWU. I love it! The facility is…read moreclean and beautiful. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. This gym includes plenty of equipment for both cardio and strength training. It has a track which overlooks several basketball courts (which are also used for things such as volleyball and badminton). There is a rock wall which is used for bouldering and belaying. They also have a pool and hot tub. When I visit I usually attend one of the many classes that are taught here. All the instructors are great, and classes vary to accommodate all fitness levels. The best part is that unlimited classes cost only $45 per quarter! Classes are normally $5 each, so you save quite a bit if attending more than one each week. Personal training is also inexpensive, though I have never tried it. To attend this gym you have to be affiliated with WWU in some way, though you are able to attend as a guest if you are attending with a current member. Membership is free for students taking 6+ credits, and inexpensive for anyone else who qualifies for membership.

Fairways were in the worst condition that I have ever played (and I just played another local course two days ago, so I know conditions are dry). But in many areas there wouldn't be any grass even if it had rained for a month. Lastly, I support young golfers learning the game, but when a group of 12 year olds take 6 to 8 practice swings with each shot, it slows the game to a painful pace and the pro shop needs to manage their game. (The kids were over 4 hours at 12 holes).
