They have a gym, an indoor walking/running track above 4 basketball courts, a turf indoor soccer field, a rock wall, yoga, volleyball nets in the basketball courts, and restrooms. I signed up my son for a class. Since I have two other children, I would wait about 50 minutes with them until his class was over. I saw they have a nice basketball court so the following day I decided to ask my boys to bring a basketball to play basketball while we waited for the past to be done for my other son. A lady approached my kids and told them they could not play basketball because they needed to pay. She told me the same thing I thought paying for the class for my other child was enough and the kids were just harmless playing basketball and the lady got mad at the kids I guess they are really money hungry institution the following day I came and just had my Kids color because playing sports while we waited for the class to be over was off-limits such a disappointing experience. read more

The people that work there obviously do not like working with the public. The rules change constantly. Don't even think of bringing a kid to play. If you are not standing right next to them the worker will harass them until you come over to prove you are there. Forget about working out while they play in the gyms or field. Neat activity center built in Orland Park. Primarily for Orland Park residents, membership is around $700 per year for a family which is pretty reasonable compared to a Lifetime kind of center. Non-residents can also become members at a slightly higher rate. The Orland Park Sportsplex doesn't have a pool (Lifetime does) but it does have an enclosed soccer field (Lifetime does not) for the many youth teams in the area. The Sportsplex also has three, side-by-side, full-sized basketball courts. Upstairs a nice amount of free weights are available, as are numerous cross-trainers and tread mills. There are certified trainers available for hire - to set up lessons and the like...and there are group sessions organized for many activities such as pilates and yoga. The center has a full set of locker rooms and showers for the members. Suspended around the basketball courts is a one-tenth of a mile walk/jog track. This track is available to Orland Park residents for free...just show an ID on the way in. So while it is primarily a membership activity center, residents have access to the track without membership. All-in-all the Sportsplex is a nice family center for the village. read more

I have been a member of the Orland Park Sportsplex for over 6 years. I love it! I have been a member of other gyms and the Sportsplex is by far the best. I find most gyms to be a "pick up place" for people looking for dates, the Sportsplex is all about getting some exercise. Whether you're there to do cardio or lift weights, you're going to get a great workout. The Keiser cycle bikes are hands down the best bikes I've ever used! Be sure to take a cycle class by Erika, Christa or Karen! The low key aspect of the gym makes anyone of any fitness level feel comfortable. The plex is very clean and the staff are incredibly nice and friendly. The trainers are always there if you should have questions or need assistance. Personal training is extremely affordable and you get a lot of group classes free with membership. If Yoga or Pilates is your thing, be sure to sign up with Terri or Heather! If you're looking for personal training, Joe & Adam work well with both men and women and are great with children! If group training is your thing, you cannot do better than Christa! I used to go to Palos Fitness before, but when I found out that for half the price, I could attend the Sportsplex, I decided to visit the facility. As a man of extreme fitness and integrity... Ive decided to go ahead and rate where I pump iron on my off days when im not saving lives or putting out fires. Orland Park Sportsplex is a nice quiet and pleasant gym. They have group classes (I love cycling) that you can join as well as individual personal training. They aren't pushy and nobody really bothers you while you work out. Although the equipment is getting a little old, everything works great. Just to give you a heads up, dont go in the evenings because all of the highschool kids come after school. The place can get packed pretty quickly and if you are like me and wear station 2 clothes, you will have a ton of teens asking questions about saving lives, putting out fires, and building mass to name a few. It's funny because I always tell these youngins that I used to not have a neck which was a result of my fitness regime. read more

Unbelievable. I've been coming to sportsplex for more than 14 years, I used to lived in Orland Park back in 2004 and truly miss paying the $3 fee to play basketball. Today it's 2017, and thins have changed. Inflation. Anyways, I've been paying $12 and $15 to play basketball since 2007. That's not was I care about that, even though $15 is a ridiculous price to play basketball. But whatever. I'll pay that. Today the woman at he front desk refused to give me a towel. A fucking towel. She says towels are for members only, so the nonmembers who are sweating their asses off don't matter. Their safety doesn't matter. The basketball floor could be wet and someone could get seriously injured and if that person asking for a towel isn't a member then GOOD LUCK. NO TOWELS FOR YOU. honestly???? I've been a member of many, many gyms. I'm quite happy with my decision to join Sportsplex. If you come during high-traffic times you will probably find the machine or equipment you want to use is occupied; this comes along with a smaller gym with limited space. They recently added a small version of the Queenax, a piece of jungle-gym type equipment made by Precor. Some people working out here lack gym etiquette, but that can be said for every gym (slamming weights, sitting on equipment on phones, not wiping down after use-yuck). They have sufficient free weights for the available space. Employees aren't always the most friendly but the facility is very clean and they have nice equipment. One thing I would suggest is replacing the tracks on the 2 older Woodway treadmills...they're in bad shape. read more

Let me start this review by saying, I only used the cardio machines. This place is pretty awesome considering the variety of activities and equipment. Classes are free with membership. The place is huge. So upon walking in for my guest pass, I had high expectations. The membership broken down monthly (if you live in orland park) is 38 dollars. So I went upstairs to the cardio machines, and it was bad. Very small area. Not super old machines but definitely not as nice as other gyms. Maybe I'm just used to -------- fitness who's memberships are 10 and 20 a month and they have way better machines, and way more of them too. All in all, if your looking for a place to take the family its great (if you have that kind of money) but I much prefer a "gym" gym to this sportsplex. read more

Nice place to workout if you live in the area for the cost, it all depends on your specific needs. Some clubs in the area like charter are packed at the time I need a treadmill however the equipment is up to date unlike Sportplex Orland park. The equipment at sportsplex Orland park is WAY out of date! Every single treadmill at sportsplex are not level by any stretch of the imagination, I personally know many that left for that reason alone. I belong to 2 or three clubs at any given time. Palos health club has nice equipment because the people there are 50 to 99! Again, depends on your needs, no pun intended. Xsport is an Awsume gym, people, music, machines, cost. HOWEVER! During the past year or so the staff that accumulated there is AWFUL! Newer management, especially that regional manager "Ben" made me think twice about driving 20 min to workout each day. Numbers are falling, people moving on, etc all thanks to the newer managment. Ben is cold, evasive and controlling - I have heard roomers about xsport that i wont mention as hearsay, some situations that are , anyway, if you go, don't trust the emploies, leave it at that. That staff team is nothing without Johnny, since he left the place took a dive in that staff department. For the money and needs xsport is by far better than lifetime fitness. Lifetime fitness in Orland park is a meat market in my opinion. The things I see go on there, jeez. Again the staff at lifetime is about numbers. Don't complain! They will cancel you! The manger "Jim" is the phoniest person I ever met. Child care is Awsume now that Beth is gone, thank god she left! Now let's move Jim out of that place! Lifetime is way overpriced! They only care about you to join after that, they dont care if you leave or they cancel you. Its corp, all numbers and tricking investrors. The Managment only cares about "the team" not you. Jim has to be the worse GM they had, the last GM was fantastic. I think he is in burridge now. Again, another club changes the formula that worked! If you need child care and workout more than 3 times a week and you can afford it, go to lifetime. Be careful of staff, most are backstabbing fakes, stay away from the meat and greets. Back to sportsplex. Great parking, nice mix of people and ages, close by and worth the cost. Music is hideous, especially the morning when they play some sort of "swing" or big band music, ARE YOU KIDDING SPORTSPLEX! Make sure you bring your iPod. Machines need an upgrade. Seriously this is Orland park, not oak forest. The taxes paid alone, we became a mini oakbrook over the years, I can't go near Lagrange road around Xmas time with all the traffic from people spending money at our stores! That's it for now. A reasonably priced gym that has it all (except a pool...boo). Zumba with Melissa on Friday nights and Saturday mornings are awesome. I used to hate going to the gym but I actually look forward to going to her classes because it feels like a party. She is very inviting and kind and extremely happy all the time (I want whatever she is on!). In addition to the numerous classes they offer, there is a walking track, cardio equipment, including rowers, and free weights and weight machines. It has a good assortment of fitness equipment so I never get bored. read more

After visiting several fitness centers in the area, I decided to try a a three month membership at the Sportsplex. The prices are reasonable and the women's locker room and the center is very clean. Much cleaner than one of the larger fitness centers I visited. It never seems very crowded. In addition, every group class I have attended has been excellent. One of the instructors noticed that I was new to the class and introduced herself. The participants in the classes are also very friendly and there is nice mix of age groups and fitness levels. I feel very comfortable working out there and will be signing up for an annual membership. I just wished they had a steam room and sauna in the women's locker room. read more
