Rude staff, the gym is full of highschoolers that will steal your things so watch your back. Pool is nice though

Hands down the cleanest gym I have been in during my 20 years of public gyms. Equipment is also well kept.

Tennis staff is fantastic! Courts are well taken care of. Rebecca at front desk is always friendly and professional.

I actually really love the Lockport location even though it's smaller Everything is sectioned off…read moreappropriately instead of one big space. For the most part it's clean, soooometimes the bathrooms need some work. But everywhere else is good. I use the 30 min room which some locations dont have and that's where I feel most comfortable. I love the massage chairs and I use the red light along with the tanning. Everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. It's my favorite location!!

If I could give this gym zero stars, I would. The recent…read moreequipment redesign has made the gym significantly worse. Instead of adding equipment, they removed useful items and scattered the remaining machines throughout the facility, making workouts frustrating and inefficient. Equipment is no longer organized in a way that makes sense, and members are constantly searching for what they need. I've spoken with many longtime members, and the overwhelming feedback has been negative. These changes have hurt the overall gym experience, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility. Pissed off member! Ha...I got a response that was pointless from them. Here's mine back.... Thank you for proving that nobody actually read my review. I don't have equipment suggestions. I have a complaint about a poorly executed redesign that removed equipment and turned a previously organized gym into a scattered mess. The fact that management's response is "tell us what equipment you'd like" tells me you still don't understand the problem. The problem is what was already done. If corporate leadership spent ten minutes talking to members at this location, they would hear exactly what I heard from countless longtime members: people hate these changes. The layout makes no sense, the equipment selection is worse, and the overall experience has declined. You don't take out equipment! You add more! My review stands. The redesign was a failure, and the response to member concerns has been just as disappointing!!!

I came for the Living Social deal, I stayed for the results…read more My sister and I originally signed up at Next Level with the intention of only going until our Living Social deal expired. A couple months later, we're still here, and plan to be for a while. At first, I was going to use CrossFit to supplement my regular gym work outs. Now it's the other way around, because at NLT, you get your workout and then some. I'm not going to lie. I dread pulling into the parking lot every morning and having to look forward to absolute hell for 20-30 minutes, depending on the WOD (workout of the day. Yeah, there are a ton of acronyms you'll soon become well familiar with). It's like they pulled some of these workouts straight out of the Guantanamo Bay handbook. But when you finally clock in at the end of that last rep or run, there's that intense feeling of accomplishment that makes all the pain worth it. NLT is a nice-sized, fully-equipped facility located in a warehouse set in some obscure industrial strip in Lemont. You have all the fun CrossFit toys at your disposal to play with--tractor tires, climbing ropes, squat racks, gymastic rings, etc. The staff is awesome, qualified, and very knowledgeable and will not hesitate to push you harder or school you on proper form or offer words of praise where it's due. We work out at the 9am class with Chris, the owner, who has a background in professional baseball. Real cool guy. The other members make the workouts more bearable as well. You experience a higher level of cameraderie here than at other gyms, because at the end of the WODs, you all accomplished it collectively as a group, even if you may be competing for time or reps. Like I said earlier, I stayed for the results. I already lost a few pounds. I'm starting to see the outline of the six-pack I haven't seen in a couple years, long lost behind a layer of beer and wings. I have much more strength and energy, and my times are improving--I used to trail the pack, now I'm at the middle using standard weights. Don't be discouraged by the intensity of CrossFit--the beauty of NLT is they accommodate all levels of fitness. The core age of the class seems to be 20s and 30s, but there are a good amount of high school kids and middle-aged members as well. Next Level Training will kick your ass. And you will love it.
