I have been going to Spot for the past 3 or more years. I feel like I hit the lotto when I found this place. Because, my last vet who I was with at least for 30 years.. Became, EXTREMELY expensive and unaffordable. Especially, the blood work. I'm sure it cost at least $300 and up. Senior blood work at Spot is only $100 Their shots are also EXTREMELY affordable too. I LOVE EVERYTHING about them.. Especially, their staff... EVERYONE has ALWAYS been so SWEET, kind and helpful.. Their office visit is only $20. I have used them for 16 years. Its low cost so its not like walking in to a 90.00 appointment with a vet. I see alot of people become upset on the wait times. I have 3 dogs I leave in the vehicle with a friend while I sign in for each dog . Yes I have a wait time but they treat my dogs great and the service is inexpensive but it's done by a vet. Best advice to newcomers is if you don't make an appointment and even if you do make an appointment, sometimes you just have to wait. They will not approve heartworm prevention refills from Chewy because "the prevention os sold here in the clinic" Even after I explained that I live out of state and cant pick them up. I e never heard of this before! Took my money. Then three weeks later called me to let me know. They do not have a surgeon to work on a female cat to perform the surgery needed to fix her. The communication was horrible. There are money grabbing shouldn't be not for profit or organization, and I would never suggest for anybody to put their loved pet in this organization's hands. Absolutely horrible. read more

Back in 2013 I shopped around before having my puppy neutered, and SPOT was the best price by far (even the Humane Society wanted more)! They really are doing the community a great service by offering spay and neuter services at extremely affordable prices. Granted my visit was a few years ago and prices may have changed, but it was only $90 for a neuter, microchip, nail trim, e-collar, and pain meds! Yes, I have a small dog and prices varied back then based on size. They didn't have outstanding customer service but for how busy they were, I'd say the service levels were certainly acceptable and I trusted them with my pet's health and well being. I call this clinic and spoke with a young lady told her my situation wanted to bring my dog in and get spayed. She up to date on shots etc but pet pal hurt her so made she was traumatized so I wanted somewhere new for her.... The young lady seem really nice told me they may not get to new dogs till june. I said that would be fine. She says try this other clinic in largo they can get you faster. I said again. Well it would be no problem to wait t June I heard such good things about you guys. She again pushed me off to go somewhere else as if you heard my voice and doesn't wanna be bother with my kind. If there was a half of star I would use it. The employees seemed to not know what was going on in the first place every single one of them asked me the same questions and had no clue what the answers were for themselves. Dear pet owners, if you love your pets, don't take them to this place. When we came to the appointment a few days ago; we got greeted with the news that you can't walk into the room where your pet will receive their checkup. This rase our flags but we proceeded with the appointment. In less than three minutes the assistant of the nurse gave us our pup back and told us she only got one shot when we got told she needed two. A nurse vet came up with the assistant and started rubbing my pup's whole head as if it was a bar of soap. This is very harmful to the pup's ears which are trying to grow. We proceeded to ask the nurse some questions like what vitamin brands the dog should take, and she said she had no clue what the best/recommended for this breed was. She gave us answers as if we were idiots and then left. Then, the receptionist called us to get her updated record and told us she got two shots. After she asked how old the pup was and she said there was no way the pup was that age. My puppy is three months old and it was like she didn't know anything about the breed. They don't give you good information on what has been done to the puppy. It was just an unpleasant visit that made us leave upset. As an owner of dogs for my whole life please don't bring them here to save some money on the long run you'll save more money not going here. read more

My puppy is 6 months now and I've been coming here since her first round of shots. In the beginning they were great and communicated well. Until today, I had scheduled for her shots that she needed that was suppose to be no more than $40 at the most. As soon as they bring my puppy to the back the older lady in the front (can't remember her name) is telling me I need all this done blah blah blah without a final confirmation of telling me how much things were... they already gave my puppy the extra things. My bill was more than what I expected to pay. It's not really the point of how much everything came up to... it was the lack of communication and how they want to hurry to just get you in and out. read more

This place has really poor customer service. It seems this place could care less if you come to this office or not. There is zero phone support. No one picks up the phone when a patron calls but if you leave a message they will call you back but never listen to the message that is left in response to their message . I've even asked for hours when a person will answer the phone because I do work during their open hours. No message left on my phone just 'call me back'. Why doesn't someone at Spot pick up the phone and TALK to people. That's what businesses do that want your services. This is really really bad customer service. Once my cat is spayed here I won't be back and I do not recommend to anyone unless you have a lot of patience and you don't have a job or a life. Seems to be too many people and not enough support. SPOT is top notch. A total asset to this community. The prices can not be beat! They offer many services and deliver excellent, knowledgeable care to our pets. All employees are highly trained, knowledgeable and compassionate. Anyone leaving a negative review should be ashamed. This is a low- cost, spay and neuter (plus) operation. They don't make large profits like Vet offices would, they also don't charge as much as a Vet would. Therefore, some frills aren't there. That's how it is. I want to give SPOT a 5 because they are so inexpensive, but I have a hard time because they have sub-par customer service (tho I do have to mention the most recent visit was probably the best customer service I have ever had). The people here are quick to send you out the door if they can't help you. They don't tend to stick around to answer any questions, you can NEVER get someone on the phone or to call you back. Parking kind of sucks. As do the hours. But it IS worth it. Because where else can you get shots without an office visit fee (if your pet is fixed)? Getting my dog fixed here was over $100 cheaper than it would have been anywhere else. My puppy had some complications, and they were willing to see her the next day to make sure the incision was okay, as well as her. Very impersonal... I had my dog spayed here and I was bought all the meds necessary E-Collar, pain reliever, tranquilizers instructions for no activity crating the entire time of recovery. We are almost 4 weeks post surgery and I was told still no exercise apparently the dog had a reaction to the adhesive used to close the incision. The doctor wouldn't even take the time to talk to me in person to discuss the problems/recommendation s. The incision is crooked,and one end is red and it is bulging from the abdomen. The site is also and we were told it was swollen. That it could take 3-6 months to resolve. Turned out the doctor caused a Hernia.... Don't make my mistake. Amazing work, knowledgeable and inexpensive. I highly recommend! I rescued my 1 dog while she was in heat. My current vet was ready to schedule a very expensive spay ($350+) on the first visit. I went ahead and got a second opinion with The Spot. They informed me of the waiting period as her heat cycle has to end well before any surgery and directly told me they would not put my pet at risk. They gave me a date and I was committed. We went into the details of the procedure and they even explained how my breed was considered more at risk while being under while reassuring me that it was safe. Keep in mind that this is a no frills place. The huge difference in price is for a reason, they are huge advocates for pet population control. My only suggestion is to go and purchase a nicer pet E-Collar prior to the operation. Again, it's a no frills place but they do a great job. Stick with the E-Collar for the 7 day's! Few days after surgery my Maltese had allergic reaction to the plastic cone they put on her. I drove an hour to take her back to be seen. The female veterinarian was rude, abrasive obviously irritated that I had asked to speak to her after they brought my dog back out to me after being seen for less than two minutes. I ended up purchasing ointment there, but had to ask them if they could actually wash neck and put ointment on before I left since I had to go back to work and was an hour away from home, When I got home from work and washed her neck and opened the box of ointment it was already used and had barely enough for one usage. I have left three messages with no return call. They are quick to call back to get your deposit money and schedule your appointment though. read more

THE WORST customer service I've EVER encountered as a patron of a business in my 37 years on Earth! If I could rate them with less than 1 star, I would. My wife left 3 messages over a 10 day period with no return call. When the clerk finally answered on the 4th day that we called (10 days later), he admitted to intentionally NOT returning our call because we asked about a service that they didn't perform there. Really? (At least have the courtesy to communicate with your potential clients!) Then, he had the nerve to express his personal opinions to my wife, condemning her for her personal viewpoints and then hanging up on her. My dog died! My dog was healthy, up to date on all of her shots and vaccines, and they gave my dog an over does of anastasia. They claimed it was because she was over weight but didn't say anything about it when they weighed her, prior to me paying and leaving the facility. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I have now brought 3 of my dogs here for vaccines, spaying, and neutering. This place is great cost wise. After my one dog got old enough, i now take him elsewhere for all of his shots due to the waiting area at Spot. It can be stressful on me and/or my dog (just my opinion), because the waiting room is small so it can get hectic with random dogs and/or cats waiting in the same area together. Wait time is usually 15-20 minutes depending on how crowded they are. Everyone here is polite and they try to get you in and out quickly. I've only experienced one rude encounter but that's besides my review. Based on this place, their attitudes, the pricing, you can't go wrong. All of my dogs have healed up perfectly from the surgeries. The staff seems pretty knowledgeable and caring with any questions you may have. I always recommend Spot to friends who need low cost vaccines for their pets. read more

Today I took my 11 month old shih tzu puppy to Spot USA, Inc. I understand that this is a spay and neuter clinic with high volume of pets going in and out. It was affordable and was recommended to me by a co-worker. I had paid a $20 deposit fee to save Likos, my shih tzu pup, spot. After I dropped him off early early in the morning I was informed I would get a call when it was time to pick him up. I got a phone call around 12:00. They didn't discuss much with me on the phone. They told me Liko had complications but was ok. They needed me to pick him up and bring him to his vet. When I asked what happened they said his blood pressure had dropped very low due to pre-surgery medications. After I arrived at spot I was directed to sit and watch a DVD. When I was able to speak to the receptionist she was very nasty with me. She gave me an attitude when I asked what happened. Saying "I heard them tell you over the phone." I told her it wasn't detailed so she called someone over to tell me. She then reviewed my "financial" situation. By the way, Likos surgery was paid in full before I had left the clinic that morning. I was refunded less then half of the surgery cost when he hadn't received the surgery. It's been 6 hours since we have left the clinic and he still isn't his self. Hoping he feels better soon. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to ANYONE! read more

While they did neuter my dog, and had good customer service, they charged me twice for the $20 deposit, and did not take that off the bill upon completion of services. I'll be contacting my bank to stop payment on those 2 $20 charges. Lesson learned. Pay cash, and don't pay a deposit up front. read more

We took our rescue beagle to SPOT because of their low cost and a recommendation from a coworker. The staff we very nice and informative about spaying our dog. Unfortunately, I got a call from them about 2 hours after dropping her off informing me that they had detected a heart murmur. Fortunately, they called us before starting any procedure to see what we wanted to do. They recommended that we go to our full service vet to have a work up before performing surgery. We picked up our pet and they refunded me my money. Some clinics would have gone ahead with the procedure without notifying us. I am grateful to the SPOT staff for finding this. read more

In positive way I could say only one thing - all staff are friendly. I have my four month kitten spayed and Rabies shot in SPOT done a week ago, until now I'm worry about if he will survive or die ??! He was playful and healthy before I got him to the clinic at 6:45 in the morning last Monday...I got him back around 2:30. For 3 days my cat was in awful pain - they didn't prescribe any pain relief medication, he couldn't walk, didn't eat, he barely could drink water by forth that he was throwing immediately. My cat is still suffering from pain, his scar is healing very slow.What is a TATTOO? Why the doctor made him a tattoo if I didn't ask for?! Why they suggested the surgery and rabies shot in the same day when pet's immune system has down?! I paid $56! No, I'm not happy ! I went for double check my cat today, the doctor even didn't come to talk to me , just an assistance, so thanks! Now what? An emergency? read more

I took my 2 1/2 year old female Chiweenie to this Spot clinic 6/27/2016 to have routine spaying procedure. They told me after the surgery she was over weight and charged me an extra $20. My wife picked her up from clinic at 1pm and brought her home. She was groggy from the surgery but they said that was normal and she would be fine the next day. Well, she didn't make through the night. My wife and I found her dead in the morning. This was heart breaking to us. I called the Clinic and left message because they were closed. They eventually contacted me back later that day telling me this has never happened in a long time. The vet doctor how performed the surgery called me as well to day sorry and asked if there was anything they could do. I asked for the money I paid in the surgery to returned since my dog passed away. She replied that she wasn't the owner of the company and would have to ask the owner. Since 7/29/2016 they still say have not agreed to it. They don't care about your pet's health. I do not recommend using this place. read more
