I also appreciated how clean and open the place was. I ended up going with the jungle fever option. It was nice and fruity and the ginger gave it a great kick. I dislike going to the Blink gym in Canarsie because it feels too compact, and a lot of the equipment is old. However, one thing I do enjoy about the area is The Love Spread & Juice Café at 9106 Flatlands Avenue. I love their açaí bowls--especially the Cocoa Love and Nutella ones, which are classic Nutella-based bowls and always well-made. It takes about 13 minutes for them to prepare because they make everything from scratch, and the customer service has always been great. Surprisingly, it's never busy there, even though it's located right across from the gym. If you're looking for a smoothie, shake, or bowl, it's a great option. I always go for the bowls, and I've been coming here since around 2021. I highly recommend it--it's one of the best juice spots in Flatlands. I also love the mural on the wall featuring Obama, Biggie, and Maya Angelou. What I appreciate most is that it's Black-owned. The space is colorful, vibrant, and welcoming. Another great thing about this spot is that it's a healthier alternative to most options in the area. They actually have two sections--one for smoothies and açaí bowls, and another with a hot grill and salad bar. If you're looking for a fresh, nutritious meal, this is a solid choice. Really unsure why Ive never left a review for this place , especially since Im a regular here . The place is bright and clean , however whichever kid is working will depend on your service (how fast you will get your order/even if you call in advance- if they answer the phone that is.... if your green juice will have beet residue because they don't completely clean their machines in between juices (I actually called and complained because the person was allergic) HOWEVER , the juices are pretty standard . I keep going because they use ALL fresh fruits and veggies (unlike so many other places in Brooklyn who insists on using canned fruits) I dont mind the little mishaps because I always get what I ask for . I usually buy a smoothie after I leave the gym. I order in advance. When I pick up my smoothie I say "thank you so much" I try to be very polite. There's always two men working when I pick up my drinks. The light skin guy always has an attitude and he's never courteous. He has an attitude when I pick up my drink. I try to be very polite. I've been here twice so far. It's right across the street from my gym so it's a nice treat after a tough workout. They have smoothies, juices and fruits bowls. Everything is fresh and made to order. Made from real fruits and vegetables not syrup. The smoothies are $8. The juices are $6 and $7.50 depending on the size. The first time I came I had the juice, Perky Peach. Second time I had the smoothie, Jungle Fever. They were both really good. It takes some time for the juices and smoothies to be prepared so you can't be in a rush. read more

I am trying to support local business, but it's hard when the employees do not exactly follow the hours of operation that is in place. I understand we are in a pandemic currently, but the hours that I was told when I asked was until 7 PM. I'm here is no reason that when I call this place between 6:20 and 6:30 pm no one is answering. That is unprofessional, why bother having the number posted if your employees are not going to answer the phone? I get it you want to leave early but that's inadvertently stopping the business from generating money when employees do this. The hours on yelp are also inaccurate, it says 8 pm but when I call they say 7 pm. It seems like the employees just close whenever they feel like if that's the case just put the store hours until 6:00 pm. People would be more understanding because that just means that they are following the rules. Looks like I will have to find an alternative smoothie spot, although this was convenient for walking distance, I would rather spend my money at a place that actually values their customers and their time. read more
