Not bad! Good fun for the kiddos and adults alike! A shaded area would be nice though FFR

Then I also paid for the swim team fee. Since it was just within 3 business days before the swim team started, I also paid a late fee, plus a processing fee. However, on the first day of the swim, I found out my daughter who is 13 and short, being assigned to a 15-19-year-old team without parent permission. I told 9oaks that raises safety concerns, and I couldn't go with 9oaks, I asked for a full refund. Then 9oaks only return me half of the membership fee and half of the swim team fee, they keep the late fee and processing fee as well. I think within 3 days, they did not assign a team appropriately, which is a safety concern, I have to quit; it is reasonable to ask for a full refund.

Only catch is you have to walk down steps, there is no graded area. Area is beautifully landscaped under trees. Very relaxing. There is a fully stocked snack bar and there are picnic tables nearby. Occasionally they have movie nights or other events. The swim team is the Gators. Definitely a great community pool

This past week we went to the Marsh Creek Swimming pool for the day with our twins. It does get crowded with campers, but all in all it was a good experience. The pool is sectioned off nicely with a ramp into a very shallow area - perfect for toddler play. The "deep" end is only 4 feet deep, so it isn't too crazy. They have a fantastic splash pad area and you can rent the pavilion. We brought beach chairs and sat in the grass - the grass areas are limited, so I'm sure it's insane on the weekends, but it worked perfectly for us.

Most airlines don't even charge…read moreinfants to travel to another state or country, so paying full price for a baby who isn't using the facilities the same way adults are felt unreasonable. The pool was also extremely crowded. People were jumping into the water, throwing balls, and tossing each other around, which led to people accidentally getting hit. It didn't feel like there was much enforcement of pool safety or courtesy. I imagine the experience would be much better on a weekday when it's less busy, but I still think the pool should have clearer rules and better supervision to keep everyone safe. Overall, I'd recommend reconsidering the admission policy for infants and enforcing pool rules more consistently to create a safer, more enjoyable environment for families.

I've never heard of a…read morerule where children aren't allowed to wear floaties while swimming, and on top of that, they required my child to take a swim test just to get a blue wristband to use the kids' water slide. My child and her cousin were so sad -- we weren't even there for 30 minutes before we had to leave the pool. They said it was boring and not fun at all . I felt so sorry for them because they didn't get to enjoy the experience they were looking forward to.

The teenagers who work there are too lazy to clean it. There are always a gaggle of them just sitting in the main office where you check in doing nothing. Plus, I have to rush to get there at 12 to grab a lounge chair. Members are ignorant just grabbing chairs and pushing them wherever they want. They don't even bother to ask if they are being used. After adult swim, around 1:00, all hell breaks loose and the kids jump in. I saw a kid with a diaper that looked "full" jump in my last time there and that was my sign to leave. Public pools are just gross. To pay $130 for the season to deal with all this isn't worth it. The only thing that is decent is the parking. Plenty of spots to choose and it's free! I wish they had a pool for adults only, then I would consider rejoining next year. Note to all newbies: members only from 12-1. I didn't see any signs saying this anywhere.

This pool, completely renovated in 2004, is large enough to have fun but small enough to be able to spot your young 'un from anywhere you sit. The entrance is through Vernon Young Park, another gem with a full kids' playground, basketball & tennis courts, a large playing field for baseball, flag football, soccer, etc. and the Ardmore Avenue Community Center. So, if the young un's don't want to swim, they can play too. When you enter, you pass through either the male or female changing areas complete with lockers and showers as well as restrooms. There are two pools - a good sized toddler pool with a zero step entry, water spouts and a water mushroom play feature. Maximum depth 18 inches. Then there is the 'larger' pool, also with a zero step entry, a water slide and maximum depth of 5'. Separating the two are a low fence, some bushes, and a shade awning over some grass. Surrounding both pools are picnic tables with umbrellas. Water toys are permitted in the baby pool area. The pools are staffed with lifeguards who change station regularly to stay alert. There is no snack bar, which is in some ways a blessing (no $9 fries!). Many of the local restaurants deliver 'to the pool', and if you want you can easily leave and walk to many of them too. Parking? Well, that's the one star off. It's street only, and it can be a bit of a challenge. I don't want them to make a parking lot by any means, but it does take away from the experience. Also, you bring your own chairs, blankets, etc, which can make for a haul. Maybe the Township will get wise and start a business to rent chairs on site (hint, hint). Now, the thing that makes this really GREAT. The cost to join? For a family of four, residents of the Township, about $70. For the season. Really. Over 65 year old residents are free. Yes, really. That is not a typo. It's under a hundred dollars. A year. Well, a summer. The pool is open Memorial Day - Labor Day. (Residents of Narberth Borough can join but at a higher rate as can a limited number of residents in Ardmore, Haverford Township, again at a higher rate.) Like I said, one of the Great Deals of the Century. Here in wonderful Ardmore.
