The other issue is the location of handicapped parking. The only parking place is designated for handicapped parking are located quite a distance from the docking area, and it makes it hard to get close without being dropped off and then going back to get the car later. There are however, handicap spaces marked for trucks or cars with trailers, which are located very close to the docking area, but none designated for just vehicles with handicapped placards.

On a bit of a whim we decided to head over to Marsh Creek State Park for one afternoon after…read morechurch. It was a nice day, and the weather had been pretty crummy as of late, so we decided to go and rent stand-up paddle boards. When we arrived, the parking lot was quite full, so we had a bit of a hike to get to the front desk. There, we were able to get our rental pretty easily. We headed back to the car to drop some things off, then went back down to get our boards. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the experience was a lot of fun! One downside was that when we got back to land and ended our rental, we got charged more than I expected. My wife had been keeping track of time, but from the time that we left on our boards, but the time probably started counting from when I gave them my license. Hopefully next time I'll have my dry bag and not have to go back to the car.

I decided to participate in a 3 mile moonlit hike which was hosted by our lovely park ranger Rachel. Lake Nockamixon is a large park with multiple hiking trails. Our partucular trail was paved with color poles to let us know we were on the right path. Throughout our walk we were able to gaze in the sky and see the stars and other constellations. There's also benches and two spacious parking lots. Lake Nockamixon also is a great relaxing place to go fishing and moon gazing! I look forward to returning!
