I hardly ever leave a bad review but this is worth mentioning. I had a chance to visit Spring Hill Recovery on 06/20/2022 after finishing my detox at an amazing place in PA called Retreat. I heard lots of amazing things from 888 numbers and some online reviews people posted so I thought I would give it a chance. Before any intake process began, they agreed if this place is not for me they would not force me to enroll so I asked many questions and understood this is not the place I would be fully comfortable with so I asked to think it over before choosing this place over thousands of others that are available. To start off with, I got a vip service of luxury suv ride from Retreat to Spring Hill, however You will be treated like trash once you decide not to sign on to them. They walked me down half a mile to the entrance and asked to call a cab or uber. Just to update, uber and cab will not come there even if you agree to pay a thousand dollar extra, due to the location in the middle of 70 acre land. You will be lucky if the cell phone service even works there. They said it was not their responsibility to call for a ride. I begged them to give me a ride to the closest convenience store which they refused stating I wasn't a patient and they could not help me nor can I stay on the premises. So I was left with option of returning back to reenroll or I was going to take a long two hour walk of shame with three large heavy bags to the nearest convenient store. By this time, I decided I would not be re enrolling if they would treat a human being like this. Now I was left with no help, no ride, and middle of nowhere. Thanks to a Good Samaritan, who also works there but was getting off work, saw me struggling to walk with all luggages, and took me to the nearest hotel for me to check in. This Good Samaritan stayed with me till I got a room and called me the following morning to make sure I was ok. Thank God for people like this and the three stars I gave goes all to this l Good Samaritan. I really believe people like to follow rules and regulations without a human heart of empathy. Don't let your ride leave before you decide to stay. For Spring Hill staff who read this, my suggestion would be to at least call a cab service, even if you are not paying for it, to help safely have the client reach their destination. read more
