We managed to get a few drinks for the kids and us. Folks were *generally* (see below) well behaved and we brought our pool noodles into the river to avoid the steep floaty fee. We were not expecting as many drunk adults trying to skirt the floaty rental requirement or entitled kids climbing all over the rocks that clearly said "do not climb" but that's how it is sometimes.

They also have some nice restrooms around the pool so you do not need to run back to the room. I often shop hotels around their pools, and this once is well worth it.

None of them were sitting around or neglecting paying attention to the pool area. I think some service work on the non-functioning water features would go a long way to making this a 5 star spot.

Some endemic problems just go unnoticed until a moment occurs when such issues are revealed. Two issues, one old an unresolved, and one new have resulted in this downgrade. The old problem is unresponsive management. I have had a constant compliant about informing gym users to USE provided sanitary wipes after they use equipment. I was told in January (it's now nearing the end of May) that new signs were in the works. To date: nada. A gym up in Ocoee had a health contagion spread for reasons like this. The new problem is that management simply avoids the customers. Just this morning, a woman with developmental disabilities got he phone thrown at the door. A professional trainer - a man who is quite competent and caring - witnessed the event and took it upon himself to help sort this matter out. As he was helping settle things down, a manager sat ten feet away, in an office, door closed. Harris Rosen, a fine and charitable man, would not have tolerated this at the place where he once swam and chatted with his customers. Poor management is endemic, but I'm disappointed that it happens in a place where the line staff is so good.

My daughter enjoyed competing in the 50-meter long course. The water temperature was spot-on and the pool itself was spotless. The whole complex is well maintained with clean restrooms and working drinking fountains. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping things organized and swimmer-friendly. There's convenient off-street parking all around the facility, and plenty of hotels and restaurants nearby making it perfect for multi-day meets or out-of-town families. It can be a little tricky to find the pool for the first time since it's tucked away off the main road, so don't rely solely on a quick glance at your map. Once you're there, everything's easy to access. We only wish there was a bit more spectator seating. With big events like this, the stands fill up fast. Overall, it's a top-notch swim venue and a great experience for swimmers.

They spend quite a bit of time going over basic stuff and a waiver. This was my first time at the park but I have surfed in the ocean. I am not a beginner but I am not exactly advanced either. I just wanted constant predictable waves so I can get better. I wish they would separate out those who have been before and know how to surf and we can get started while beginners do their thing. The advanced people can tweak their techniques with the help of the pros while the beginners learn the basics. The wave pool is fresh water so already it is different. Salt water makes the board more buoyant and the bigger waves have more energy. It seems counterintuitive, but is actually easier to surf in the ocean's bigger waves. At Typhoon Lagoon, I fell my first couple times. The instructors said it just takes a couple of tries to get used to the fresh water and they were right. Before you know it, I was easy riding. They provide water, juice, fruit, pastries and coffee. I wish the food included breakfast burritos because for some reason, it is the breakfast of choice for surfers. They provide only a small towel, so I recommend bringing your own. Photos are also included with the price so you get lots of cool looking pro pics, which unfortunately also include wipeouts. The pros from Coco Beach Surf School were great and lots of fun. If I were staying longer at WDW, I would take advantage of this and do it everyday it is offered or get a good group together and have an evening private event.

Bad because the water is super gross. Do not open your mouth in the pool. There is a bar adjacent to the pool where you can get drinks. Slow service service is slow or nonexistent. There is no one walking around taking orders. Towels are free and you don't need your magic band to get towels. There is available seating even during busy spring break. The free refill Machine at Capt. Cook's is very close. There are two lifeguards on duty. There is a beach close by with a shower and sand. Do not go in the water. The water dirty and swimming is prohibited. You will get sick if you swim in the man-made lake.

Designed by The Walt Disney Company in the 1990s, the park serves as Celebration's main recreational hub. Amenities include a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, and playgrounds. Many of these facilities require a resident key and are reserved for Celebration residents who pay community fees. Visitors, however, are welcome to enjoy the rocking chairs, picnic tables, umbrellas, and the scenic wooden boardwalk that circles the lake. Keep an eye out for the park's resident alligator, which is occasionally spotted along the shoreline. Just steps away, you'll find downtown Celebration's charming shops and a variety of restaurants. The park also hosts numerous festivals and community events throughout the year, including Independence Day celebrations, Founders Day, the Embrace of Celebration Music Festival, Battle of the Food Trucks, Once Upon a Magic Market, the Celebration Farmers Market, holiday parades, and seasonal runs. It also serves as the starting point for town-wide 5K races and the staging area for the community's Veterans Day Parade. During my visit, I enjoyed strolling along the lakeside boardwalk and taking in the peaceful scenery. The strong smell made it impossible to linger and I cut my visit short, which was disappointing given the park's otherwise beautiful setting.
