Front door of Studio 101. Picture taken from front parking lot. Parking also located in the back.

Went to my first Studio 101 play, Disgraced. The theater is quaint. I bought 2 tickets on Goldstar for a discounted price and had no problem getting my tickets inside with my name for confirmation. Everything is very relaxed and casual. Most people wore jeans and a tshirt or top. We had our seats written on a sticky note and found them after purchasing a glass of wine for $6 with a heavy pour (cash only). The theater was about half full for the Sunday 3pm show. I would definitely go back for another production, make sure you check out discounted tickets first, and tell other friends about this place. I hope I get to explore more events at this cool location!

Believe it or not, the bottom stick is a painting...

I didn't know this place even existed before I went to a Yelp event there (Which honestly was what made me sign up for Yelp). I've never been to an actual art gallery where the artist themselves are alive and well, and it was a very interesting experience. The place had two levels and hallways full of different types of paintings, photographs, and just creativity. There were a few things that definitely caught my eye like the picture I posted. It's just amazing what people can come up with and makes you show appreciation for their talent. It showed me that everyone is unique and different in their own way. Seeing the price tags though is a different type of appreciation. I knew art pieces were expensive, but dayeem! It sure is motivating for people like me, cause when I can go into this place and drop $400 on a stick on a canvas, that piece will remind me everyday that "Mama, I've made it!" It's definitely a place you could take your girl to and show her your more creative side. I definitely want to take mine here.

Great venue for the Yelp event this July 2015!

There are great pieces of art. As soon as I get my place and my sister gets her house I will make sure to come back and get some for our places.

Oh, The Galleria! My ex-husband is from Houston and I've…read morebeen to The Galleria many, many times. In fact, I started going long before I knew my husband. My dad also lived in Houston and we'd often do shopping or eating at the mall. My daughter (who is now 30) loved (& still does) skating at the ice rink during the holidays. It's a magically fun experience. The Galleria is always incredibly decorated for the holidays. I still get to Houston 1-2 times a year and always enjoy visiting The Galleria. The Galleria itself has not only the ice rink but office space, two hotels, lots of places to eat, and shopping. The retail offerings range from shops like H&M, Macy's, and Nordstrom to high-end luxury shops like Gucci & Chanel. We were there just a few months ago and it was just as fun and exciting as my first visit! Gang, there are so many stores here. Like crazy amounts (a few hundred). It's very large and easy to navigate and of course gets extremely busy during peak times. A must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Shopping can be hit or miss, and on this particular day, it was definitely a miss. My friends and I…read moreare dedicated bargain shoppers, and despite our best efforts, the Houston Galleria wasn't giving up any deals. With only about an hour before leaving Houston, our shopping mission was more of a speed run than a leisurely browse. Even without scoring any purchases, the Houston Galleria remains an impressive destination. The moment you step inside, you experience bright lights, multiple levels of stores, and a steady stream of shoppers that create an energetic, bustling atmosphere. Beyond shopping, the mall offers entertainment options such as its iconic indoor ice-skating rink, making it easy to spend an entire day there. One of the Galleria's biggest strengths is its variety. Luxury retailers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton share space with more accessible brands such as Banana Republic and American Eagle, offering something for nearly every budget and style. Whether you're on a focused shopping mission or simply window-shopping, there's plenty to explore...even if, in our case, we left empty-handed. The dining options are equally diverse, ranging from food-court favorites to sit-down restaurants like The Cheesecake Factory and Shake Shack to Chic-fil-a. While we didn't find the bargains we were hoping for, our fast-and-furious shopping adventure was filled with laughter and great conversation, and the kind of fun that comes from spending time with good friends. Sometimes spending quality time with friends is the best find of all.

I chose it for the location, the vibe, and the size, and it exceeded every expectation. The atmosphere there is relaxing and soothing, and from the moment guests arrived, it invited celebration, creativity, and connection. As someone who does not always feel comfortable being celebrated, this space made it feel natural and joyful. Bisong Art Gallery is a dream for art lovers. The setup was thoughtful, elevated, and beautifully curated. Every person I spoke with commented on how much they loved the space, and the event felt unforgettable in the best way. I also deeply appreciate being able to support a Black-owned business and celebrate alongside women who are creating spaces like this with excellence and intention. If you are interested in great catering like what you see in the shared images, or if you are looking for a stellar photographer for an event such as this, feel free to message me. We kept the menu fun and elevated with appetizers made from my favorite comfort foods, including burgers and hot chicken, mac and cheese, pulled pork sandwiches, salads, and more. It complemented the space perfectly. Huge shout-out to the photographer who captured the night so beautifully. This venue helped make a meaningful moment feel timeless.
