Team had no coordination of his day to day needs. The social worker never contacted us with his plan of care or progress. When we initiated contact, he did not follow through with insuring proper care was given. We met with the Healthcare Resort leadership. They had little information about my parent as their excuse was that we just started. I am concerned for other patients. This facility has a severe quality of care issues. My family of which 4 of us are either clinicians or work for CMS were shocked at patient treatment. To reiterate another persons comment, the patient floors smell horrible and there are constant call buttons going off while staff scrolling on their phone. We moved my parent to another facility which was a total 180. I am ashamed that providers like this exist for patients that needs these critical service to maintain a decent quality of life and care.

I parked and saw multiple doors and went into one. I entered via the dining room. I later realized the front entrance is a circular drive facing 15th Street. This building could definitely use more signage both outside and inside. A kind nurse on break in the dining room pointed me in the direction of the lobby. Once I weaved my way around and arrived in the lobby a kind woman had me sign in the visitor log book and told me what time it was. I later realized there was a clock right overhead (after I started digging into my purse for my cell phone). I knew the room number I was looking for and logged that into the book along with my name. I found the elevator to the second floor and followed the signs to the room. My friend was participating in a rousing game of hangman with a small group of fellow patients. The nurse/therapist leader did a great job of making the hangman game fun along with "churning butter" to make arm circle exercises. Very creative! My friend was headed to physical therapy next, so I ended up coming back after lunch to visit. I promised to come back with a small Braum's milkshake when I returned. This time I realized where the main entrance is and parked in the front parking lot. The lunch tray was still in the room and it looked like a healthy spinach salad. All of the personnel I came in contact with looked friendly and happy, which was refreshing. Since my friend was being discharged in a couple of days, it seemed like she benefited from the care she received while inpatient at this facility.

She laid in bed all night in feces while continuously pressing the nurse call button, but no one came. She even tried to sit on the side of the bed thinking the bed alarm would go off. The morning nurse came in and the call button was not plugged in and the bed alarm was not set. Mom had trouble breathing and had to request a chest X-ray which determined she had pneumonia. No breathing treatments were provided and several times her oxygen wasn't even on. I removed her against doctors orders on a Saturday and transported her by ambulance to a hospital. The EMTs said this is common with this facility. Do not let your loved in suffer here.

I always find a parking spot on the outside with easy access available and have yet to enter parking garage but they do have one available. I have been going to get adjustments since it opened with most recent visit being 11/29/23 from Dr.Tim Nawrocki. He is very knowledgeable and not rough like some chiropractors. He's also friendly, punctual, and caring too. I notice that my back and neck always feel better when I keep regular visits. Another amazing experience about this office is it's so easy to book your appointments. If your like myself and only remember things after hours or if you love texting verses calling or both they have an app which is very convenient! I love it and they text you 48 hours before your appointment then 24 hours then on the day of so you don't forget or you have time to cancel because I was getting to that next, they will charge you a fee if you cancel appt last minute but they will work with you as far as if an emergency were to come up so they aren't going to just profit on you being late but they make it hard for you to be late with the reminders. lol! Last but not least, it is not inexpensive but it's totally worth it when your pains start to ease up and you start to feel better. I used to think how can a chiropractor really work on you in 15 min or less but they can if they know what they are doing! Everyone is different of course but if you have pain and looking for help this place is a good start or finish if you're lucky. I wanted a place that was close to my home, and we chose Carrara Skilled Nursing Facility in Plano, TX. This was a huge mistake .. on so many levels. First .. there were some positives .. a few of the nursing staff - Rebecca & Angela were wonderful, caring, and helpful. Their therapy staff was wonderful as well .. striving to improve functionality, and were tremendously positive. Also, the exec director John was great - engaged, apologetic about the staff's numerous failings, and ready to jump-in when needed ... even at late hours and on holidays. Thank you John! Then .. there the nursing staff. The worst. Nasty. Lazy. Disengaged. Possibly even .. evil at times. Most clearly hate their jobs, and it shows. Some have really bad attitude problems. They are so incredibly lazy. The call buzzer will ring for 1-hour +, with no response. My mother was there for 5 weeks .. I visited almost every day and saw call lights on, but nursing staff were scrolling on their cellphones in the nursing station while the buzzers were ringing with room call-lights lit-up. They chose to not respond. This is a clear case of negligence. Two days ago, I witnessed 5 call lights on in multiple halls .. no help. Nursing staff were at the nurses station chatting and staring at their phones. I found (4-nights in a row) my mom's call buzzer laying on the floor under the bed (I have photos), with zero accessibility to my mom. They would leave the buzzer there, turn off the lights, and close the door. My mom was screaming for help .. but there was no help to be found. Until I'd get a desperate call from her cellphone to drive over there and help. This happened many times. Nursing staff doesn't care. I would complain to John .. he was super apologetic and would get people moving to remedy this .. but why should I have to bother him for this stuff every time? Nursing manager is named Ta'Wanda. I had a conference call with her. She made clear that "the real problem was that my expectations were too high. My mom had been transferred from a hospital with a much higher staff-to-patient ratio, and she said that I needed to adjust my expectations". I called her out on that claim .. she didn't like it. That was the last time we spoke, and the executive director requested that I no longer speak with Ta'Wanda. I will spare the reader of this review the graphic details of all of my mom's experiences, but the unpleasantries of neglect for many hours on end were pretty bad. I witnessed my mom become angrier and angrier by the day. I repeatedly requested only female nursing staff to help my mom to the restroom, but again and again, that was not the case .. with a large man from another country watching her pee. The laundry staff lost my mom's nightgowns - I asked them to track-down her clothes, but apparently (according to their staff) it was my fault for not having properly nametag-labeled her clothing in advance. Those articles of clothing are gone. The food was inedible .. absolutely disgusting. The first night .. dinner looked like vomit atop a pile of rice. And the dessert looked even worse. My whole family took it upon ourselves to supplement my mom's food in order to keep her alive amid a veritable barrage of inedible piles of slop on a tray presented to my mother. I entered that building almost every day for 5 weeks .. and amazingly, I never had to sign-in or out even once .. gee .. nice security. I was even advised by one staff member (& thank you to that wonderful staff member) that it would be a good idea to remove my mom's purse from her room, in order to keep her personal belongings safe from the other staff members. The kitchen staff was quite memorable. There was an instance when I brought my mom a delicious slice of chocolate cake (she loves chocolate) .. and then I went to the kitchen to request a plate. I said, 'May I please have a plate?" .. The kitchen staff member said .. "You wanna plate"?, then handed me a styrofoam box. So I said, "No, please .. may I please have a plate for some cake for my mom" .. She then handed me a bowl. At this point, I had graduated to the mocking phase .. picked-up a plate right in front of her .. held it in front of her face and said .. "Plate"! It appeared as though the IQ level of some staff members might not even register - - As a kitchen staff member.. the first thing to understand is ... "What is a Plate?" This is a facility that I would never recommend for anyone to use. At first, it appears to be a nice rehab place with some decent aesthetics shown on their website .. but once you understand their nursing culture .. Do yourself a huge favor and run for the hills. FYI - there were multiple incidents which were reported to their management to be a problem, that were never properly remedied .... STAY AWAY!

The fact that they employ an abuse coordinator tells you they have widespread abuse which needs coordinating. One doesn't call a dogcatcher if there are no dogs. Hygiene is a word they can't spell. The food is inedible and sub-par. It breaks my heart that the elderly are treated in this manner. This is not a medicaid facility and the private pay cost to live here is exhorbitant. Patients are wandering the halls in their underwear dragging catheter poles. Visitors wearing hijabs are wandering the hallways asking for face masks. Staff DOES NOT respond to call buttons, but have time to be constantly on their cell phones accessing social media. This place is a thing of nightmares. I do not have one good thing to say about this place. Any good reviews you read likely come from a staff member, an employee of the facility or the owner.

The lighting in this 7 Story Parking Garage is very poor...so I reported it to the Baylor Police Force as well as to The City of Plano's Inspection Department. The City of Plano told me that the Hospital Garage Lighting is in violation of the City's "Lighting Codes"...and they have 30 days to ensure ALL lights are functioning. It's dangerous to walk through that garage & even drive through it. 4 months ago, I tripped over a concrete curb stop that IMO shouldn't have been there...luckily caught myself with both hands (as I have a Pacemaker & an Aortic Aneurysm I need to protect). Now, 4 months later both of my hands and my arms are still a bit sore. At age 76, falls can be very life threatening. I also informed OSHA that IMO, this 7 Story Parking Garage is not safe.... due to the poor lighting situation and the inappropriate placed "curb stops" in this garage. There must be thousands of patients who use this 7 Story Parking Garage every week....it MUST be safe for ALL patients an visitors! Also, IMO, both ER's are very understaffed and overwhelmed...3 to 5 hours to get in and out. Otherwise, I feel this Baylor Scott & White Hospital really is a 5 Star Hospital....I do highly recommend it to everyone! NOTE: I am in Plano, Texas...NOT San Francisco, California.

However, BSW is now adding an extra $300 "Hospital Facility Fee" to every doctor visit, even when it is not in a hospital building, setting, or procedure. My last doctor visit to an internist, not at the hospital, was $300 to see the doctor, $150 for blood tests done in the office, and a $300 Hospital Fee. $750 for a single office visit. I have to find new providers for everything, because that's just obscene and they should be ashamed. Baylor is "nonprofit" in the same way the Epstein Class are "taxpayers". (Their CEO made 10 million dollars last year, and nobody on the board was paid less than a million. Jesus would be so proud.)
