Try somewhere better! I went in this morning to pick up an order my wife called in. the staff does not record names so they had no idea what the order was. I took a random guess at what kind of sandwich and they barked at me that they don't make that kind of sandwich and that she she must've called into a different place. After speaking to my wife and getting the order correct, they filled the order with a major attitude. While the girl was packing the order putting in napkins and plastic spoons. I tried to tell her not to because it was coming home, but I didn't even get a response. Their food is not that good that they can have that kind of an attitude with a customer. How about one of them saying let's try and figure it out or suggesting nicely that I call home and get the correct order. My wife and I go in there quite often, but today was the last day for me? I've been here several times now and have always ordered a roast beef sandwich Unfortunately, I've never had a good one. They put very little meat on the sandwich and they have never once given me the extra mayo I order. I've had their soup once and it was a watery mess, and the last time I was there I ordered a potato salad that was literally tasteless. Very cold from sitting in its little container for who knows how long, but completely tasteless. Kind of weird actually. My overall impression over the times I've been there is that these folks don't much give a hoot about what they do and they just take the orders and send you on your way as soon as they can. This place is truly a hidden gem. I was going to dialysis next door and was talking to one of the nurses about the place. She said it's very popular the prices are good and the food is excellent. So I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered the meatball sub and to my surprise the meatballs were homemade and out of this world! One day I had an early appointment so I figured I'd try a breakfast sandwich. So I got a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I'm 61 years old and have had and made plenty of egg sandwiches. Has a small deli feel and the food is just as good. The menu is simple and the staff is courteous and friendly. We arrived near closing time so I can't comment on the lunch crowd - which I'm sure can seem substantial for a place this size, given the limited options available amidst the numerous medical offices that surround it. Always liked this place (reviewed in 2016). However, it is very disappointing when the Covid protocol is not followed by the person cooking the food. Signage tells everyone to wear a mask. The person on the grill, handling food, must wear it over his face, not as a necklace. read more

This place is okay. I ordered the pastrami Rueben and was a little disappointed. There wasn't that much meat on the sandwich and the bread was way too drenched in butter. In addition, the customer service was not there. I have been a customer of Springbrook for the past 3 years and today I had one of the worst encounters of customer service I have ever experienced. Springbrook is not usually my first pick for food but since it is so close to my office I tend to frequent there for convenience. However, yesterday I ordered a sandwich to split with a coworker and to our disappointment it was served on given stale bread. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I went back today to get their soup and wanted to let them know about my order yesterday. I was not looking for anything compensated, I just wanted to inform them and instead of receiving a simple apology I was accused of being a liar. I DO NOT give 5-star reviews easily. And EVERY time I visit them, I get a 5-star experience! It is very rare for me to visit my CT family without stopping in here. And please take into account that I live in NYC - home of delis and bodegas - and I would trade in almost every deli and bodega I've ever visited if it meant having Springbrook closer to me. The customer service is THE SINGLE BEST! They are BEYOND welcoming, courteous, thoughtful, full of suggestions (if you need them), happy to accommodate special requests, have everything out in the open so you see everything they're doing, get you out the door quickly, give you hearty portions, have great staff comrodary which is great to observe while you're waiting, and always give you a smile. They have great croissants, awesome portugese rolls, and a nice selection of deli meats and salads. The place is very busy and they were a bit short on the phone when you call in an order. (I didn't know you had to tell them what time you wanted to pick it up, rather, I thought they would let you know what time it would be ready for) but when I walked into the store they were very friendly. After reading the reviews here on Yelp, I couldn't wait to try this place!!!! I must have gone to the wrong deli. I ordered a chicken phili buffalo wrap which sounded so promising and it was only $5!!!! When I got home to eat it, I opened it and all I found inside my wheat wrap was a mound of iceberg lettuce....not even good, healthy green lettuce, just iceburg lettuce. Lots of it. There was no meat on it!!! I had to inspect it so I opened the wrap and dissected this thing. It had a blue cheese dressing mixed with buffalo sauce in it and then some sort of tiny, crumbled substance...it was such a small amount, I really couldn't figure out what it was exactly. Then I realized it was chicken, I think. Tiny, tiny little crumbles of chicken hiding under the head of lettuce and sauce. Really??????????????????? They can do this and pass it off as a chicken wrap???? This should be called Lettuce wrap with dressing and chicken flavored crumbles. I should have brought it back. My daughter got the chicken salad wrap and her looked beautiful. Had huge chunks of chicken and the wrap was stuffed. But I'm basing this review on my order and it was terrible. read more

Isn't that what people look for in a deli anyway? Get a pastrami reuben. You won't regret it. Had the jerk turkey wrap and was pretty excited about it until I took a bite. I am pretty aware that there wasn't any jerk spice in the wrap, but just spicy hot pepper sauce. My husband has been going there for breakfast almost daily and many times for a lunch sandwich. Their portions are ample, prices reasonable, staff friendly and competent. He has never complained about the food or the service. The cold cuts are Boreshead and the salads are made by them. Not a gourmet place, but for something much better than fast food for the same price, this place is a great choice. Since it caters to the workers in the area they are not open on the weekends.
