Great family owned deli for lunch. Super friendly staff. Specials everyday. Very reasonably priced and food was delicious! ****Only open until 3:00 on Saturdays****

The DeNiro (fresh mozz, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic + added ham)

Awesome Italian subs on sacali bread! I had the DeNiro (fresh mozz, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic + added ham) and he had the Hot Italian Combo (sopressata, capicolla, prosciuttini, pepperoni, salami). Everything was super fresh and worth the stop for lunch, as most places right off 95 are generic fast food joints. Definitely bookmarking this place for future stops on our way to/from NYC and MA. -1 star for no bathroom. Pro tip: get a half, they are HUGE. (The half sub is a whole length of a paper pate)

Chicken Salad X Bacon X Honey Mustard

So I'm a big sucker for chicken salad, and I must admit this was the first time I had it with green bell pepper. Not only was the green pleasing to the eye, for a usually gray mash up, it also brought a nice fresh crisp to the sandwich. I like what they have done with the place. There are new wooden shelves kiddy cornered in the corner offering all the imports they have for sale. Great atmosphere of local workers, usually police officers, and exceptional service.

Food was horrible. The chicken was rubber. Never again! Sad even the bread was hard. Not fresh

Great Italian deli! Love the grinders here. Be sure to try The Parm if you can't decide between chicken parm or eggplant parm; it has both!

Amazing food and service, undoubtedly the best deli in West Haven. If you're passing through on 1-95. Exit 42 is worth a visit.

This reviewer was happy to have one of his family members mention it and there was no turning back? Bella's offers Homemade, Southern Style Comfort Food just like grandma would make? The Cafe consists of generous seating on both sides with a large bar stretching from the front door down towards the middle of the restaurant. We were sitting on the backend portion of identical tables and chairs. Our server was pleasant and friendly and our party of three were about to be very happy with what was in store for us? I was told that we had to arrive early because this popular little neighborhood nook, fills up at a moment's notice? We arrived at 8:00am and it was jamming. The menu has a large variety of breakfast and brunch options with their hours open until 3:00pm, daily I believe?? I enjoyed Bella's Corned Beef Hash with Scrambled Eggs, Homemade Grits and 2 Fresh Biscuits. Outstanding and Rib Sticking Comfort Food. If you never knew about this place before my review? The biggest setback for us was the service. Our server wasn't very attentive and spent the entire time conversing with every other couple (and we were the only gay people there so it felt discriminatory dare we say?). He didn't check on us, didn't offer us drinks and didn't talk to us at all, but everyone else was getting a laugh and a chuckle out of him. There were also very very minor microaggressions we noticed but they were so micro, we didn't really feel as though we could say anything. The place is very cute though, it has a nice cutesie vibe. Unfortunately, we likely won't be back. Our general ratings: Food- 8.3 Service- 2.5 Comeback ability- 1.5

This place is clearly a local favorite as the small parking lot was full, but we lucked out as someone was pulling out as we arrived. The service was top notch! We were greeted by a friendly young woman who seated us right away in a 2 person booth. The place is your classic stainless steel exterior and the inside was packed with happy patrons. The people in the booth next to us said they rarely dine out but they frequent Georgie's for their food. We were served by 3 different young women who were super friendly and professional. Before we got our food I was thinking I would come back for the service alone. Now the food. I ordered Georgie's omelette with home fries. 5/5. Excellent omelette and though the home fries were just potatoes they were cooked with some crunchy bits that simply elevated them. Laura got the eggs Benedict and she loved it. 5/5. We also ordered the buckwheat pancakes with blueberries and bananas. These were the best pancakes I've ever eaten 5/5! On top of it they serve organic food and locally sourced ingredients. The diversity of their staff was another added feature. This place is special!!! Laura and I agreed that it was the best meal we ate during our New Haven weekend.
