Eggs Florentine & French Toast egg sandhwich & of course house coffee
    Nuvdeep D.

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in west haven. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I enjoy the atmosphere and love seeing regular customers come in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is always kind and efficient. I have to say their house coffee is the best drip coffee I have had in a while, and that's coming from someone who strictly drinks espresso. I love coming in and getting their eggs Benedict, it never disappoints. Can't be mad at the price either. Will definitely be coming back here for my morning breakfast or brunch fix. Other notes: I love a good parking lot! Parking is easy with a parking lot on the back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sometimes the restaurant does it busy so bar seating is always an option![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You pay at the counter before leaving

I am not a breakfast lover at all but these home fries & vegetables are top tier !!! I went back in to order the crab cake & asked if it was real crab, I'm a Maryland native so my expectations are pretty high. The crab cake was okay, had a lot of filling. The food was done in 10 mins and it come out very hot & delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I ordered my food to go but the inside is very casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ordered delivery from this place a Sunday morning a few weeks ago. Ordered breakfast and coffee for my sister and I. We got a few things; French toast, pancakes and eggs and home fries. Everything was well pack including the coffee which I highly appreciated. Affordable and great place if you don't wanna make breakfast but want the homemade feels.

If I could give more stars I would. Food is amazing. The turkey bacon is off this planet delicious. In addition, the service was incredible. Everyone was very nice and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is super nice and I went with a large group of friends in the middle of morning rush and they had no issue with us at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the quaint diner booths and overall it was an amazing experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My sister and I took my little cousins out to breakfast and at first they wanted iHop but after a quick Yelp check, we stumbled on Nick's Luncheonette and decided to check it out. The parking lot was full and the wait was well over 30 minutes. I just knew the food was going to be good, as packed as the restaurant was. I couldn't be anymore wrong and all you yelpers led me astray. When we sat at our booth, our waitress was extremely tepid in her responses to us and while I know she was busy and overworked, that wasn't fair to us. I ordered a veggie omelette and a green tea. My little cousins got the French toast, along with bacon and potatoes. What our waitress didn't tell us when she suggested they get the platter is it was additional. She made it sound like it came with the meal, similar to how you get toast and home fries with a meal. Either way, I was extremely unimpressed with the food and will not dine here ever again :)

I stopped in here this morning while waiting on a family member having a procedure at the VA. I was greeted at the door. I sat at the counter, since I was solo I didn't want to take up a whole table. The woman at the counter promptly got my coffee and gave me time to look over the menu. During the process she's running the register and doing take out orders with efficiency. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were delicious and the coffee was also perfect, not watery like some places. My food came up quick too! Being at the counter I can see the kitchen and they were working back there like a well oiled machine, food flying out and looking delicious. There was a rude customer sitting next to me and the way the woman at the counter handled him was very impressive, I couldn't work with the public like that because I would have cursed him out! If you are in the area & you want a great meal, fast and not overly expensive this is the place to go!

So glad that I found this restaurant! My car gps originally took me to their older not so safe location, but I was so entranced by the food photos, I decided to try again. This new location is right off the freeway, and it's a seat yourself place. Barely any wait because as soon as your butt touches a booth or chair, a waitress is there to take your drink orders. I got the two egg combos, which includes a meat (I chose sausage), fried potatoes, choice of bread. Although my waitress brought my food out quickly, she forgot my sausage. Once I informed her, I had sausage within seconds lol. All of my food was typical diner fare: tasty, piping hot, and huge portions. My coffee cup never emptied, and my waitress was super attentive and friendly. I've gone back three times lol.

Steak & Cheese Sandwich.. horrible.. bread fell apart and looks squashed

I placed an order on Grub and honestly, it was the worst $36 I ever spent on a breakfast. 3 breakfasts sandwiches that tasted absolutely terrible. Picked up the order- food was squashed, flavorless and dry. I wish I had tried a different place. Never again. Place puts diners to shame. They charge retarded fees for picking up.

Parking is available behind the restaurant, and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Must-haves: - Prime rib: Tender, cooked perfectly medium rare as ordered. 5/5 - French onion soup: Forgot to take a picture, but it was the star of the meal. Rich, flavorful, and comforting. 10/5 - Fried calamari (NY style): The marinara dip had garlic and hot peppers. It wasn't spicy (to us), but added a nice kick. The calamari itself was crispy and well done. 5/5 - Fries: Shoestring style, crispy, and just right. 5/5 What to skip: - Their pasta dishes. The chicken parm with linguini came in a very generous portion, but the sauce was watered down, the flavor lacking, and the chicken cutlets were dry and soggy. 3/5 - Seafood pasta (not pictured): Same issue with the sauce - bland and watered down. The portion was large, but the flavor didn't hold up. 2/5

Boneless ribs & steak are their staples, but don't sleep on their pulled pork sandwiches! Only drawback today was the strawberry cheesecake dessert was served frozen solid. Couldn't really enjoy it. TIP: Try to go off hours if possible as the food is slammin good, and the crowds show up early so you could be waiting awhile. Avoid the wait by going early Sunday (12p-1p) or in the middle of the day during the week. Love this place & the soundtrack to boot; will be back.
