Technicians showed up and did not make eye contact despite my efforts to wave them down while they were damaging my lawn with their excessive speeds. They saw me but did not stop to talk. I had to leave for a meeting and when I came back I found that over half the yard hadn't been aerated at all. I called to ask for completion and the person I spoke to was almost unintelligible. He was also very rude. Nobody has called me back yet. I called again and still no return call as promised. My account was charged without the work being completed. read more

Don't waste your money. I have had the service for years and it has gone down hill since they went to the Segway type spreader. My lawn looks horrible, they ran over and bent my dog tie without telling me, and they only do partial lawn which I captured on video because they showed up in the snow. i have given feedback several times and never get a response. I started with the Mequon, WI Spring Green in 2020. After poorly applying weed control in early May, 2020, the promptly returned two weeks later (upon my complaint if remaining weeds) ... only to have them over apply the second application ... killing off multiple sections of grass on 3 sides of our home thst I then had to replant in the fall of 2020. Now it's 2021. I pre-pay for whole year (6 visits) and They erroneously calculated my remaining balance after first application. Next problem, they started my first application on March 30 (a good thing) and should have been back by Mother's Day . I called them on May 9 leaving a message that I needed them to call me. No call Monday, nor Tuesday AM until I had to call again to point out that all my neighbors had little Sring-Green flags in their yard but I didn't. Savannah said she/they made a mistake and skipped my house during scheduling. Rather than make me a priority, I had to wait an additional week before they showed up. Now its late June and I called on Sunday the 27 asking them to call me about getting my early summer service before 4th of July (as it had been 6 weeks since last application and SE Wisconsin is in a severe drought so rain delays aren't a fair excuse). My call was needed as they previously screwed up and left me of the early May schedule. No call back Monday, June 28, Tuesday June 29, nor Wednesday the 30th ...are you seeing a pattern here? I just now called them (July 1, 2021) and NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE! Owner Mike Valestin does not run things professionally and customer service only exists IF IT IS CONVENIENT TO SPRING-Green? Don't believe their too little-too late online replies by owner Mike as he allows his phone staff to ignore and delete customer voicemails without callbacks. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more for Weed Man or TruGreen as you will only be happy with Spring Green if you like erroneous billing in their favor ,weeds due to late scheduled applications (see attached pics of over 25 Spring -Green flags marking active weed locations due to their unreliable scheduling of applications) and absolutely no one returning paid customers calls of concern ... despite their outgoing message saying they will return your call as soon as possible. read more

Service for economy package (basic weed control) is effective--but the average homeowner can accomplish the same thing at approximately 1/4-1/3 the cost. What's worse is the bills & mailings significantly imply that you need to renew your services in order for them to continue annually. Though they are correct when they say it states on the paper bill left after treatment that renewal is automatic unless they hear otherwise. The major problem is that even the cautious and conscientious customer can be duped, due to the highly implied need to annually renew. It is as deceptive as possible without actually being illegal. Ethically, it is wrong--you are dealing with herbicide--a chemical that can inhibit one of the human enzymes that breakdown sugar (though it should be clarified this is less harmful to mammals; yet, still a pesticide nonetheless). In short, I wouldn't go with Spring Green because they are overpriced for the product we received, in addition to the legal, and likely unethical method of marketing their services to the customer. Of note: the service received did prevent weed growth, at least to the extent noticeable by the average person. It would be unreasonable not to discus the remedy: not charging me for the treatment. Though, I did specify I spent a few hundred dollars seeding and caring for my own lawn the day before they came out. Nothing will germinate. But at least they took care of the bill... read more

I wanted to have an application of the weed control grass feed and reassess. I was told that was fine. I asked if I could have just the front yard done as I have a dog who has allergies and has had surgery on her paws and I just laid down 25 sod cuts and didn't want anything interfering with that. I had the one application done and was happy the flags were in the front and I thought great. Fast forward a week later. The technician Who I spoke to in person before the first application comes back and applied more chemicals to the back and front of my yard without my authorization and knowing I had been specific about not putting any chemicals in the backyard. I called and was told it was an insecticide and I wasn't charged, and the company doesn't do one application services. Guess what? Since the chemicals were put on my property I have zero birds around I use to hear them chirping dusk til dawn and there is none. I have not seen one rabbit or bee. Oh and thank you for the insecticide because when I went to water the sod I was bombarded by mosquitoes. There has to be better lawn care services out there. I do not recommend. read more

Good results with Spring Green. We moved to a different home during our services contract and they worked with us to adjust the contract for the size of the new yard. Only "flaw" was a smaller brown spot that developed a week after the weed killer was applied. Appears some of the chemical spilled in one spot. I will fix it in the spring....I didn't report it to the company. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Spring Green. My lawn has never looked worse. Also, one of their drivers backed into my mailbox at the beginning of summer 2017. They have attempted to repair it on at least three separate occasions, but it is still not sturdy in the ground. They should have had it repaired professionally instead of trying to do it themselves. I called again on 6-29-18 to report that the mailbox was still in need of repair, and was told that they would follow up. I never heard back from them. I called again on 8-6-17 and was told that they would send someone out the next day. When I called them today to ask why they didn't show up, they said that they will send someone out tomorrow. Spring-Green has handled this situation in an extremely unprofessional manner. read more

These guys ruined my grandma's lawn by using a machine they said was broke to aerate her lawn. It left huge ruts from the tires and the whole yard is as bumpy as can be when mowing. Their "solution" of sprinkling some dirt in the ruts and then some grass seed didn't work. This isn't magic fairy land. Horrible service. Don't be the next to have your lawn ruined by inept company. Time for small claims court since they won't pay for another company to come in to roll her yard and plant real seed to make it right. read more
