Spring Green called me multiple times. After the 4th call I agreed to a one year 6 treatment contract. On the first weedkiller application the guy says I can only treat your front lawn for the contract price. Very disappointed. Be careful These folks are unethical. Scott (Garcia), the owner, sent one of his workmen, Chris, to help do some grading and turf removal before fall aerating and reseeding. Chris pointed out that we had a grub infestation we hadn't known about, and got us on the schedule for a reasonably priced treatment. If you have any issues, or need to go beyond spray solution maintenance, just speak to Scott and ask him to come out and walk the lot with you. He goes the extra mile. We appreciated being able to troubleshoot with him, and that he took on turf work that was a bit outside the company's wheelhouse, in order to reboot the lawn and get the right results. read more

New bermuda lawn, and the quality this season exceeded my expectations. Spring Green did a great job with keeping it green, and also getting rid of the weeds. Service was on-time, quick, and the comments left after treatments were helpful in maintaining the lawn to look it's best. After the second treatment, finding weeds was hard to do. I would give no stars if i could. Don't do any type of business with Scott Garcia he's money hungry and dirty towards his customers and employees. you'll be wasting your time and money dealing with this man and he wont think twice about it a whole tank will be mixed products and he will still charge customers extra for products already mixed in the entire tank that you they would get regardless if you paid extra. I cannot speak for the whole spring green organizations. I had them for the total lawn care service for 2 years. They were very professional and very responsive to my requests. My biggest issue with them was the weed control from mid summer to fall, to which they were not very good. Although coming out multiple times, there was no improvement. In the second and final year, as they tried several times to kill some of the weeds, they over-sprayed the lawn and hit some of my azaleas and never took responsibility of it. I submitted pictures as well, but got no comment or visit. That's why i fired them for this coming year. I think they're just the typical "throw fertilizer and weed killer at it" and see what happens kind of company. read more

If i could give negative 5 stars I would. Absolutely horrific service. Hire kid, hire a guy off the street, hire anyone but this company with inexcusable customer service. Paid for a full season of 6 lawn services (was supposed to be monthly per the sales brochure) we have received 3. Our lawn looks atrocious - weeds galore and bare patches. My husband contacted Scott numerous times and was told inane things such as "It's not monthly service just every 4 weeks." and "we are really busy in Raleigh so don't have time to get to Durham". The icing on the cake is that we received an email saying that they are scheduling an aeration and seeding (have to pay extra for that) You are KIDDING right?! You cannot even schedule what we paid in advance for. My husband responded to this saying that we DO NOT authorize any services but what we are owed. Scott's response You paying me in advance is not a contract so don't have to come out but we can refund you. Gee fabulous - our lawn has been a disaster all summer and do we get interest on the money you have sat on because WE paid interest because we used a credit card. then hey says "I will plan to swing by next week prior to your next application (fertilization only, no aeration/seed) to see what needs to be done unless I hear back otherwise." SERIOUSLY?!?! No, Definitely NO we don't want anymore pretend services. May be if you live Raleigh they actually show up but if you are in DURHAM do NOT choose this company. read more

I utilize their services at my home and rental property, and in both places my Bermuda grass has looked healthy and green. We did run into an issue at my rental property where the yard became filled with weeds towards the end of Summer 2014. Like others here, at first i loved spring-green. we pay for their highest level of service. Initially it was great. lawn looked great. Now, 2 years later, my "grass" is all dead and there is nothing but weeds left. Things happen, i get it. perhaps my lawn has a problem... not sure. They asked if i water it. that made me laugh, as we have a system and it runs 3 times per week. I'm writing the review because they do not respond, have to come to see the problem as promised, and generally ignore us. Switching providers today. I'd recommend staying away. read more

From bad to worse after the franchise changed hands. I've had to stay on this company almost non-stop over the past 4-5 years to get them to make progress on the lawn and, honestly, it doesn't look any better than it did when they started. Now that the territory has a new owner it's even worse. Call, and call, and call again just to get them to come out for the aeration, which they billed as a core aeration but most of the yard was done with a spike aerator. Been calling and emailing for 3 months to get them to spray the weeds and nothing but lip service. Yep, I'm cutting them loose. 8/16/17 Follow up. The offer to "meet and discuss" really rings hollow when you consider how many times I've called and emailed over the last 3 months. That time has well passed and it was clear that this franchisee and Spring-Green just didn't want the business but lacked the fortitude to simply say so. read more

Been with them since February 2016. Lawn is a Bermuda and fescue mix. Currently looking great with minimal weeds and green in color. These guys are reasonably priced and I can say that the service guy was here today and I watched him apply product to the entire yard and took his time spot spraying weeds with chemicals. I've used Scotts and they seem to be about putting down as much product in 1 day as possible. This guy actually looked at the yard and takes good care of it. Love their service! Bob S is very professional and super active to respond on emails. I have had several requests for him to come and take a look at my lawn, and he has treated each request with super urgency. In just one and a half year with them, i can tell you that my lawn has improved atleast 80%. They maintain several lawns in my neighborhood and each of those lawns looks exceptionally well taken care of. This year they also offered their mosquito control and so far i can tell you that its a huge success with my lawn Excellent service, great quality and super enthusiastic manager/owner! I'm a DIYer for the most part. For years I've fertilized and applied weed killer myself with reasonable results. This Spring my lawn had tons of weeds, even after I had tried killing them. I got a quote from the "big name" company but it was close to $60/application. Sorry, a good lawn just isn't worth that much to me. Then I got a quote from Spring-Green and they were a bit less than $40/application. I thought, "The price is alright (especially considering how much I spend on fertilizer, weed killer, lime, etc. each year) so I'll give them a try - I can always cancel." Spring-Green came out and sprayed and my weeds started dying and the grass started getting thick and beautiful. Several of my neighbors have commented on how great the lawn looks. The technicians have also been helpful with some lawn-care tips like sharpening the blade of the mower and setting the mower to a specific height. Now I don't worry about my lawn - I just mow it once a week and it is among the best lawns in the neighborhood. Thanks Spring-Green. read more

Buyer beware I wish I would have trusted the negative reviews on this company before giving them a shot but I figured I would take the risk. Mistake in my part. The management was never necessarily the issue but the actual lawn service you pay for is horrible. We payed over $100 to have our lawn treated a couple times and it made our lawn WAY worse. The main reason I am giving a 1 star review is because even though they damaged our yard they would not refund us. They did offer to come out to fix it but with the quality of service they showed we were not interested in them touching our yard again. Its very disappointing to not be refunded after being so displeased but it was a lesson learned for us to pay more attention to reviews! read more

I can actually say my lawn looks worse since Spring Green started caring for my lawn at the beginning of the year(three applications so far). There are weeds all over, dead grass, (I understand it is hot), hundreds of clover throughout, whew...should I go on. Nice staff, gave me a deal of 52.00 per application, but not efficient. I called and cancelled after I sent photos of my yard to their sight. No response or concern about their work. Needless to say I'm looking for another lawn service. read more
