Booked this hotel for a family of 5 because it is across the street from the Georgia Aquarium. The "Suite" is on the corner and the extra room is extremely far less than desirable. We decided to put up with it since we are only using the room to sleep. However... Bedtime: the club next door is SUPER LOUD. We are on the 10th floor. All we can hear is BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM...etc. Asked the nice lady at the front desk what time they usually finish up. She said between 12:30 and 2:00am. So much for using the room to sleep. She did offer to move us into two separate rooms on the other side of the building, but that would split up our family. Defeating the purpose of getting a "suite" in a SpringHill SUITE. The "Suite" portion of our room. It's so shallow, the pull out couch can't be placed to watch the TV installed on the wall. Not what I've come to expect from SpringHill Suites by Marriott. The hotel was nice but this atmosphere is not inviting for a family with young children. The clientele is mainly composed of young club goers so be prepared for a bit of rift raft. Beware of the parking fees as it's valet only for $35 per night. There are other parking options a short walk away for $10 a day. If it were the same hotel in a different area we would definitely go back. The view from our room on the 11th floor was stunning. read more

Honestly, I fucking love this hotel. The rooms are a decent size. I had a hotel gathering for my birthday last Tuesday Oct 22 and I must say, it was amazing! My friends and I had a great time. They have complimentary breakfast served in the morning which was really great. However, the ONLY thing was that they did NOT HAVE BACON. Like how you have HAM, but no bacon????? Disappointed - pretty sketchy group when we arrived just hanging out in the valet area - security guard didn't seemed bothered. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating. I knew my flight would arrive well before check in times so I requested early check in. They informed me there wasn't a guarantee so I was so happy when I arrived at 8:30am and my room was ready! The room is nice, small but nice. I love a hotel that doesn't have carpet so for me that was a huge plus. Everything was tidy and appeared clean except the shower. It had hair around the drain which was gross. I always clean the bathroom and wipe things down myself when I travel so I'm satisfied that it's clean. Other than the hair, everything else was great. Breakfast each morning was pretty good. The usual breakfast items. Waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast etc. although one day they had bacon and grits on the menu! If you stay here, take advantage of the breakfast but do yourself a favor and go next door to Atlanta Breakfast Club, at least once. It's amazing! Checkout was a breeze. Since I had some education classes I needed to check out late, again they accommodated my request. I wish I remembered the ladies at the front desk name. They were wonderful. Brand spanking new hotel features modern rooms and facilities. Downtown area of Atlanta is pretty urban, and cultured. Parking at the hotel is $35 a night, so make sure you drive around and look for street parking (remember to leave enough space for others) on the side streets. They have breakfast from 6-9am, I didn't take advantage of it because I was "sleeping in" in that delightful plush bed. I removed a star because my bathroom shower only had a shower option, and I had to ask a cleaner to clean hair out of it (yuck), and the toilet paper fixture fell from the wall during our stay. This is a fairly new hotel. At the time of check in, after flying numerous hours, since the night before, the entire guest service crew was extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the first room they gave me, was a little under par for being a clean room. I called Guest Services, and immediately someone showed up to see what I had described over the phone. Apologies and moved to a different room. I hate to be picky, but if this hotel makes our corporate site, for business stays, I'd hope it to be good for others experiences here. My wife and I do a lot of Staycations around the city of Atlanta. And this place has one of the best view of the city I seen so far. But with that being said they don't do a very good job keeping the customers happy. This is a 200 a night room. But when we called for new towels we were told they did have any Bath cloths because all of the rooms were sold out! What? This is Marriot! You should never not have bath clothes for your guest! They said because of Covid 19 people what new towels. Oh ok so do we. And Covid didn't start yesterday. Why are you not prepared? Also the valet parking is terrible. 35.00 a night and when you go get you car you have to wait 10-20 for your car. There's only one way in and one way out the deck. And this whole week and they've had 2 people trying to work a sold out hotel. And then see the picture of the "lock" the bath room door. What can we say about our experience at #SpringHillSuitesMarriott? One of the most wonderful and awful experiences at the same time. Scenario: We frequent this hotel often because of its new construction, customer service, convenience to everything, and because we're having a house built. The employees feel like family, and the hotel felt like home...until an unfortunate encounter with the manager on duty, Melissa. I requested a manager because of several issues I experienced, problems that were rare and fixable. However, instead of addressing my concerns, Melissa proceeded to question if I belonged there in the hotel - citing that she needed to see specific documentation (already verified) when we were to check back in because we reserved an additional night. As a #MarriottTitaniumMember, we get complimentary upgrades, cheaper rates, and additional perks. You cannot achieve this status using discounts or anything outside of paying the regular rate, so...we...earned...every bit...of this status. Fortunately, we secured a discount through a relative for the evening, paid for our stay, and left for a quick run to the #Walmart pharmacy. Upon our return, the manager Melissa altered our room rate, attempted to run our credit card, contacted the General Manager of our relative who provided us with the discount, and lied stating we had caused issues at her hotel. She told us that our discount wasn't valid, but we found out later that the discount was verified and completely legitimate. To make this story semi-short, the manager called the police stating that she had been assaulted, but several guests remained in the lobby with us to be a witness when the police arrived. She locked us out of our room demanding over $100 more for the suite that was a complimentary upgrade. Needless to say, we escalated the situation to Marriott Corporate and filed a discrimination claim. Pros: Phenomenal customer service by staff. One of the best views in and of downtown Atlanta. Outstanding complimentary breakfast with waffles, proteins, fruits, muffins, grits, and more. Location, location, location. And for those who want to avoid the $25 nightly valet parking, there is free street parking directly behind the hotel. Cons: Management needs to be removed entirely and held accountable. Employees are afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. Sensitivity, customer service, and diversity training is a must for management. We're torn as to recommending this hotel to anyone. For now, we advise everyone to boycott this location until Melissa is removed from her position permanently. #tamandcha read more

Brand new hotel - very nice facility and a comfortable room with fancy remote controlled shades. Friendly staff. Overall a very nice stay BUT the valet parking is a catastrophe. I don't think it's entirely the valets' fault. Part of it seems to be terrible design - the valet entrance is also the only exit, meaning cars coming off the road are blocking the cars trying to get out. There does not seem to be a self park, or at least we were not told of that option. But at checkout, you may have 30 or 40 families all waiting for a car AND cars coming in. You should always allow a great amount of time to get to Hartsfield - Atlanta has terrible traffic - but if you are staying at Springhill Suites allow an extra hour for the car. read more

Lovely new hotel across from the Aquarium. My visit started off bumpy as they didn't give me the room type I reserved (city view) and the room stunk of cigarette smoke. Could not stay in that room, so I waited about an hour for another. Once in new room, things were generally good. The staff are definitely trained well as every single employee I ever encountered was pleasant and helpful. Lobby is really nice and the breakfast was very good for an included hotel meal. Our room was a good size and the decor was modern and new. Just wish they would arrange these Springhill Suites rooms with the toilet separate from the shower and sink. Having them all in one space with one door is tough with families. In general, my stay was good. Some improvements they can make: Housekeeping- the 1st room, in addition to the smoke smell, was dusty and didn't seem very clean. The 2nd rooms floor was dirty. Did not seem like housekeeping ever swept or mopped before we got there, or during our stay. I asked for extra towels, and they weren't left during service. Valet - The valet service is a convenience, but the text option didn't work for me and sometimes they didn't answer the phone when I needed my car. Not best for people who need to be in and out of hotel often, but ok if you aren't using your car much. Location - I'd give the location 2 stars. Yes, it's close to Aquarium and World of Coke, but I didn't feel like I could walk to a lot of stores or restaurants here, especially at night (didn't feel 100% safe in this area). read more

I want to start off with a good note and say the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard and the room was clean. The biggest downside to this hotel is that it's right next to a brunch place/ club and it is LOUD. If you end up getting a room on this side, you can full on hear the words from the songs and literally feel the bass from the music. This starts at 10:45am (so forget about taking a nap) until mid afternoon then starts back up again around 10:30-11pm at night and goes until 4 in the morning. Worst nights of sleep ever. Again clean hotel and good staff, but ridiculously noisy. read more

Have stayed at this hotel in different rooms for the past couple of months. Views have been very nice, no matter which side of the building my room was on. Rooms are always very clean. Laundry room is also onsite, which is a plus. Buffet style breakfast is also pretty good. Any time I had a concern, Ms. Ruby at the front desk would always get it handled. read more

There is NO swimming pool on the property although they advertised there was one on several websites. Girl at front desk made us come get bedding supplies and when we checked in she hung up a personal call and acted irritated. I saw this done to several customers. Breakfast was limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. We did late check out on last day and they locked us out of our room. They were supposed to have someone let us in our room but we got tired of waiting, over 15min. I DO like how close it is to the aquarium, the Coca-Cola Museum, and Centennial Park. We chose this hotel because it was right across the street from the Georgia Aquarium, which is the reason why we were in Atlanta. We arrived very late but were promptly checked in. We had reserved a room with one king bed but were given a room with 2 double beds. This is because the floor where our room was located was flooded due to a burst sprinkler. We were not told of the change during check-in but when we called about it, we were assured we could be moved to a room with a king bed the next day. The room was reserved for double occupancy but there was only one bath towel. The extra towels I requested weren't delivered for over an hour and only after a second call. It was now after 1:30 am and we wanted to get to bed because we had to get up early the next day for our reserved time at the aquarium. The room looked nice enough but the AC unit hummed loudly all night and the water for the shower took almost 10 minutes to heat up. There was a sign in the shower about helping them be green by reusing towels but what a waste of water to take a shower. When we returned from the aquarium and inquired about the room change we were told there were no rooms with king beds available. The staff were pleasant and professional but service was unacceptable. Their onsite "market" wasn't kept stocked, maybe because of COVID restrictions, but this was very inconvenient since there was nowhere nearby to get bottled water or snacks. We had an early flight the next morning but when we went to retrieve our car the attendant was nowhere to be found. The only parking was valet at a rather steep price of $35/day. We would never recommend this hotel neither would we ever stay here again. read more

Stayed here for a week. Left early after the gum was left on our counter but Loved the view. Because of covid only supposed to bring towels to room unless otherwise requested. Well the housekeeper brought towels but also decided to snack on our food and get a drink out of our fridge!!!! Took their gum out of their mouth to eat said snack and just left it on the counter above the fridge!! So I would suggest a don't disturb sign!!! We had the best stay here. Melissa and traci were wonderful and so helpful. We did go to the Aquarium across the street and had a great time. There was a great restaurant next door called suite food and we had a great time there. The hotel was so clean and fresh. I like that you have to use the hotel key to get into the sliding doors just because it makes me feel safe with some of the homeless around. The mini market downstairs was great and we got plenty of snacks. Even with covid the continental breakfast was great and was a great start to our day. Also- my fiancé loooved the gym! It was so clean and had a great view of the city. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in town! Thank you sooooo much. read more

Wow! What a great stay during a busy Fourth of July. The hotel staff was very accommodating. During check in, Leslie was so kind. We were so blessed to be able to get a room facing Centennial Park. This made watching the fireworks amazing. The breakfast was pretty good for the morning. We got there late (9:15) and they were supposed to be closing at 9:30 but they still had a good selection. The crowd was large, I assume because of the holiday. They stayed open till what seemed like 10 or later. Overall this was a great experience and one for the memory books. The only thing was there was no "DO NOT DISTURB" sign and the room service woke us up out of a dead sleep at 8:30 am. And despite me saying things like "yes" or "hold on" or "we're ok" or other things to acknowledge I heard them, they tried coming in our room. Also, be prepared to pay $29 for mandatory valet parking. This was tough but given the fact that it was a holiday, I just shrugged it off. The rooms were clean, and the front desk staff was amazing. I stayed in room 404 and someone at the front desk that answer my concern through the chat option on the Marriott app is super rude and blamed me. I booked 3 nights at this hotel that includes a king size bed and a sofa bed. I was very grateful since our plane landed at 6AM and the front desk male staff allowed us to check in early (around 8:00AM). However, when we went into the room, I noticed that there was only a queen size bed and no sofa bed/couch. The room only included two side tables, a desk with a Keriug machine and a stool and that was it. I reached out to someone on the app and that staff said they were fully booked and that we can check out now and they can later on give us another room around 2-3PM. Since it is during the pandemic, I tried to be be understanding and said it was fine and that I will just keep the current room I was in. I felt that this would of saved the hassle of housekeeping to clean/santize/disinfect the room again. I asked for a discount since the room I booked is suppose to come with a sofa bed but they said they could not offer it since it was prebooked. I basically paid for a room that did not include everything that it said it will.  At the end, I was okay with it and left it at that. The front desk staff then replied to me and said that next time I should call them ahead of time so they can accommodate me better. Excuse me? That was super rude and that comment made it seem that they were blaming  me for not calling ahead of time which was why the sofa bed is missing. I shouldn't have to call ahead of time for anything. What I book in my resveration should come with everything that is listed in the room when I check in. This is basic knowledge. Good customer service should of ended the converation with something like we apologize for the inconvenience and hope you enjoy your stay and let us know if you need anything else. Not a rude comment with how I should call ahead of time next time. WTF? There is definitely no next time. It is not my responsbility as a customer to call ahead and ask them to double check anything. It just does not make sense. I was already super grateful that they were able to let me check in early and I didn't make a big deal about switching rooms or about any of the other issues in room 404 such as why there is a queen bed instead of a king size bed, why the trashcans aren't lined with a plastic bag and I have to line it myself, why is the floor sticky, why is there stains on the towel, why is there a light bulb missing or why there is no shower gel. Also housekeeping did not even come back to change our towels the last 2 days. They only came once.  At the end, I was okay with all these issues in the room yet it seems like I was the blame for not calling ahead of time? Complete BS. I definitely do not recommend their customer services. The only positive thing I can say is that valet parking staffs were really friendly which I appreciate. read more

We looked for a hotel in downtown Atlanta that was close to some of the sites we knew we wanted to see. The location was almost ideal. We were actually able to walk to several of the places we wanted. In addition, literally every staff person was welcoming and helpful. The management of this hotel is clearly doing a great job of having their team commit to customer service. We were also happy with our accommodations, the food and the valet parking. I have done events at hotels all over the country and you can tell when the staff cares about making sure the guests are well served. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in or near downtown Atlanta. read more

This was the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in! After switching rooms three times, the conditions were still absolutely deplorable! Unfortunately, we were stuck here since we were out of town celebrating a friend's birthday and all other hotels were booked to capacity since it was so last-minute. I have never been more appalled in my life as I was speaking to the general manager who made it seem as though the dirtiness of the hotel was a form of normalcy post Covid. All I received was excuses as to why things were dirty and that they were short-staffed and do not have the personnel to ensure cleanliness amongst all of the rooms. The attached pictures show the couch in a lounge area which I was told the spring breakers come and ruin everything and then leave. This may be true, however when you damage a hotel, I know for a fact you are charged an additional fee. It appears as though they would like to pocket the fee rather than clean and sterilize the areas that are badly stained and damaged. Also, there was a nicotine gum wrapper on the floor as we walked in, a dirty toilet and hair in the toilet as well as the tub which I attached some of the pictures. . The sink was stopped up the entire stay and the electric went off for a period of time. The air conditioner unit seem to make some weird noise every time we turn the unit off and would not stop until the unit was turned back on. There was a stain on the ceiling and the ceiling was a popcorn ceiling which should've been a hint and a half that this hotel did not care about esthetics and was dated. As you walk into the lobby, it smelled of pool water and chlorine. It was a terrible and very offputting smell. I cannot say enough about how terrible this stay was in addition to everything else that we experienced, from around 12 AM to 4 AM in the morning, teenagers were running up and down the hallway playing around and chasing each other unsupervised. When I called up to the front lobby so that they could rectify this matter, they did absolutely nothing even though they told me they would send someone out to correct it. They never did and the teens continued to reek havoc throughout the night. My best advice to any customer considering this hotel is to stay far far away and never stay here!!! They do offer a free breakfast but it's absolutely terrible and a inedible. I was so distraught about this stay that I want to make other potential guests to please stay away! Additionally, you will not be receiving a refund if you do encounter these terrible and unfortunate circumstances so do yourself a favor and book elsewhere! If you don't mind these type of conditions, you might as well stay at $25 a night motel! I have attempted to reach out to the manager, Sal and was advised I would get a call back but never have. I opted to even email him at the same email address he reached out to me with, still nothing! We had an awful night at this hotel. I requested a crib through the bonvoy app day prior to checkin. when we arrived around 5pm I reminded them and they said it should bd in the room already but it wasnt. called the desk to have one brought up, around 7 we left to get dinner, i stopped by and reminded them again, she said they would leavit it in the room. We got back from dinner around 10 but still no crib in the room. I called front desk and explained the chain of events, finally got a crib about 20 mins later. valet parking was awful, i needed different shoes for classy restaurant wife wanted to eat at, took the valet 20 mins to bring them down. paid $40 but couldnt even leave the car there to walk across street for aquarium next day due to checkout time, had to move car to aquarium and pay again. I was very, very pleased about my stay at Springhill Suites by Marriott on Ivan Allen. I arrived into ATL at 5am. Red-eyes are the worst. I walked in to inquire how early I would be able to check in, preparing to hear "after 12pm." To my absolutely surprise, they allowed me to check in at 6:30am. That gesture alone was one of the nicest things a hotel has done for me, especially after flying all night. The rooms are very modern and you can easily tell this is a recently built hotel. I had a room with a king bed and sofa/sleeper so it was somewhat on the smaller side, but plenty for one or two people. The rooms were clean, quiet, and I even had a housekeeping staff member check on me to see if the room had been cleaned to my expectations. The continental breakfast was filling. After reading several hotel reviews on Yelp and other sites, I really feel that many people expect a Caesars Palace style breakfast buffet at every hotel! They provided two waffle makers, a selection of omelettes, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruits, beads, yogurts, juices and more. New hotel with modern feel, nice continental breakfast, valet parking was great, good location and close to aquarium. Biggest reason for the negative review was the club next door blasting the music until 3am. It was so loud we couldn't sleep. Called down to the front desk and was told they have had complaints about that before and should be done around 3am. When paying over $300 a night shouldn't that be told to customers? I do not even know where to start with my stay! It exceeded my expectations. I never make any reviews but if there was a person like me who was trying to book a stay and felt hesitant about this hotel I want to be the one to say book it! When I started to look at the reviews before I booked I was hesitant because of reading the bad reviews but what locked me in was the room I had booked. I booked the Panoramic view room and oh my goodness I fell in love with the view! The room was nice and clean and I had absolutely NO complaints at all. Starting with the valet staff who were absolutely nice, the front desk staff were always so welcoming and greeting us whenever we walked into the hotel from exploring the city. There is a breakfast spot next door called The Breakfast Club which was delicious, right in front of the hotel is the aquarium which we walked to and had a blast. The coca cola museum was also in front of the hotel as well which is another spot to look at. Check in process was very quick as well as checking out. I am super happy with my experience so don't let the negative comments fool you because I have not one bad thing to say about the hotel. read more

My boyfriend and I were traveling from King George, Virginia. We made a reservation for 4 nights. He requested a room with a view when he made the reservation and when we arrived. The receptionist gave us the option of both sides of the hotel. I asked her which was best for us to see the city because where we come from we don't see any city lights considering its out in the woods. So when that rare time comes to stay in the city, its always facinating to stay where we can see it all. But We were assigned a room on the 6th floor facing the aquarium billboard. Not the site we wanted to see. I did find out If you put your face up to the glass you can see a piece of the city of to the left. Kinda bummed, when we asked to switch they said they were full. One of the night shift receptionists told me if you go to the 5th floor in the gym, there is a view. There is a giant pole in the way but it was still beautiful. So we made due with the room we recieved. I do have to say we were greeted everytime we were in and out of the hotel. The room was so clean! In the bathroom, I absolutely love the lightup mirror. It was the perfect touch. I need one at home now. The showers have great hot water! In the room the t.v. was pretty cool because you can angle it to your liking. The bed felt brand new with fresh sheets and everthing was beautiful in the room! They just forgot the trashbags in the trashcans, which is perfectly fine. I just went down to the front desk and they gave me a trashbag. The front desk staff was full of smiles and full of information. The breakfast was actually better than most. It had all the typical stuff for breakfast and then they had the sausage, eggs, and then there was a bacon and egg like casserole thing.. which wasnt that bad. They also had the waffle makers, that are always good. Wish they had the blueberry one but oh well. The Nutella made up for that. Was not expecting the little things they did at breakfast. The breakfast ladys were always smiling and making sure we were ok. It was a great continental breakfast. I do have to say this was the first time I have ever done valet. I was alittle uneasy about it because no one else has been in my car that I did not know. But it was nice. They were very friendly and helpful and got my car whenever I needed it without hesitation. I felt like my car was safe in their hands. Besides the view request... I had a great stay at the SpringHill Suites. Thank yall for a great stay and if I ever come back maybe we will be able to get that view experience we were seeking. read more

Brand new hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Bar is not open yet (still waiting on the license apparently). Even with the club next door, the sound was muffled. Will be staying here again when I need to come to Atlanta. read more

On Thursday, September 28, I dropped my friend off at the hotel for a two day stay. On Friday night, I was invited to stay the night since he was checking out on Saturday night. Arriving at the hotel, I stopped at the front desk for them to call the room since i did not know the number. I went upstairs, had some food and then went to sleep. In the morning, I got ready for the day and went downstairs with my clothes to the business center to use the computer since my phone was stolen the day before. I waited for a while and my friend still had not come down. The front desk called to the room but no answer. I went upstairs but no repsonse to my knocking. At the elevator, I was accosted by someone I assume was the manager (he refused to identify himself. He is about 5 9, gray hair, white, wearing glasses and a red jacket) and two "assistants". I was told I was leaving the property immediately. He was initially unwilling to let me get my things from the business center as well. Very rudely, Napolean explained to me that no one was in the room, that the hotel was private property and that I was being served a trespass notice then. He said if he ever saw me again, I would be arrested. That was my experience as a guest at the hotel. I have never ever been so embarrassed or humiliated by a hotel. I hope this is not the hotel's standard checkout procedure. read more
