This hotel is located in the midst of a bunch of other hotels and I guess it is as good as any of them. The room was clean and had a semi-separated little seating area with a couch. The bathroom was up to date. Parking was easy. The parking garage is wide open but you have to hang a permit card inside to avoid getting towed, I suppose. Breakfast is included with the room. You get eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, granola, and so on. Would I stay here again? Sure. read more

Unfortunate experience today at SpringHill Marriot Burbank. In the past we have received decent hospitality at this hotel. Today was not the case. I'm writing this review because I was not pleased with how a guest was treated at your hotel business today. We send our friends, family, and clients to stay at the location due to its convenient location to our business. After today's experience, which was the complete opposite of hospitality, we will no longer be staying with SpringHill Marriot on San Fernando Blvd. in Burbank. Has hospitality in the hospitality industry ended or something? Since when do we make hotel guests (who like to tip) hunt down and fetch their own luggage cart without offering assistance, let alone help locating cart? The guest, who is arthritic, called to ask for a luggage cart to her hotel room, was told to go find a cart no one was available to bring a luggage cart to her room. The guest just wanted to be able to check out & felt embarrassed trying to locate a luggage while hotel employees watched on and did not offer help. The woman Cara at the front desk could not be bothered to help either. I will Also mention that when we booked this reservation,,whoever took the information down on the hotels end did not properly enter the reservation into the hotel system. So our guests Check in ALSO did not go smoothly. We had to get that fixed as well. More time wasted. I rarely write a bad review on Yelp but I strongly feel it is necessary this time. Great team at check in - everything is sparkling clean. Huge lobby that welcomes you rh moment you walk in. Great rooms, functional (a bit outdated on tech with a slow tv, offers Netflix access and only one usb a connection on the alarm clock - but a good amount of outlets otherwise). Nice spacious shower and bathroom. Shower head is one of the fixed attached once and not with any separat settings or even a shower hose. All the amenities you need and overall a modern room that on e like to stay in. Most disappointing was the breakfast - uninspired boring selection of food. Very dry eggs. Very dry sausages - of course all at the time of me visiting and I was there an hour before closing so when they brought out "fresh" items it was still dry and simply overdone. Very disappointing. As always the coffee was good fresh and plenty. Would come back and stay again - luckily I'm not a huge breakfast person :) But this and the shower restrictions will take away one star from the rating. read more

Stayed here for our Universal Studios two day vacation before we moved down further south to Disney. This is not close enough to walk. You will have to drive and pay for parking but I really think the amenities here and the free breakfast or should I say included breakfast because we are paying for it by staying here, makes it a great deal and Universal Studios parking isn't that crazy and you can park pretty close up to be honest so it's seem to be the preferred method for a lot of people staying. Be prepared mornings here gonna be crazy there are a lot of people going to universal and a lot of people getting an early start so give yourself some extra time in the morning if you're planning to try and get some breakfast or get anything from the hotel. Very standard Marriott very clean very nice very easy to use the app and it's just quick. It's done easy and I've always enjoyed my stay at Marriott being a Marriott card holder. Another hotel that I picked out looking at photos and images and thinking that's cool and exciting. It might be fun to hang out there and then quickly remembering that I have zero time to hang out at the hotel because we're doing other activities literally every minute of the day so I can't comment too much on the leisure, but I will say that it was nice to be able to check into a hotel and get a few hours of sleep before we started on day one of Universal Studios Hollywood read more

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take photos before you leave this place! The workers there destroyed the room because I did not have cash to tip them. Their operations manager Jenny Parchelli sent me an email stating that I am charged $900 worth damages. I tried calling the hotel & emailing her back but she refused to respond or return any of my calls. As you can see in the pictures below, the coffee & milk that was on the bed did not soak in. So you can tell it was freshly poured onto the bed. They said the phone, clock & blowdryer were broken. They threw food on the ground saying that it left a stain. This hotel is the reason I am cautious about leaving any hotel from now on without taking pictures. I have never experienced something like this. SMH. THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM! BEWARE!! read more

Go stay at the Hilton Garden a block away instead.......the hotel is nice and contemporary, but their service lacks. we visit Burbank every thanksgiving for dinner at my brother in laws. we've stayed at hotels in Glendale and Burbank and we decided to give Springfield a try. at check in the receptionist already had a "better than you attitude". I don't know if she doesn't like her job or is a bitter struggling actress waiting for her big break but she acted like she didn't want to be there. the parking situation is horrible, you either park on the street or pay to park in the garage. I wouldn't mind paying for garage parking, but this parking garage is totally unsecured, no arm gate or attendant, just wide open(see my picture), anybody can walk into the garage from the street and vandalize your car and with no attendant around I don't know if they enforce which cars paid for parking and which didn't. the room we stayed in was cozy and clean, however the layout was odd. the biggest thing that stood out was the only TV in the room is offset from the bed. you can't lay in bed and watch TV comfortably. you could lay in bed and turn you head around 45 degrees or you could lay on the sofa and turn you head 45 degrees in the other direction and watch TV(see my picture), be prepared to hurt your neck or bring an iPad. we went down to the dining area for breakfast and where told that they had stopped serving breakfast and we would have to wait until the restaurant opened, so we decided to walk down the block to the restaurant inside the Hilton Garden and eat over there. when we got home my wife realized her AirPods where missing, she tracked them in her app to the hotel room, called the front desk to ask if you would retrieve them and mail them back to her and of course she you pay the incurred cost. She was called back and told that nothing was found, my wife told her that her GPS tracking was in real time and showing in the room, again she insisted that nothing was found once and nothing else was going to be done about it. if management or corporate read this review, I hope that something is done about the lack of hospitality at this hotel. for the prices and fees you are asked to pay, basic guest courtesy shouldn't be asked for. read more

This is a convenient stay that's near Universal Studios. They have a pool and complimentary continental breakfast. I was kinda peeved that they didn't tidy our room in a timely manner and that they didn't refill the shower gel dispenser. We stayed here for 2 nights due to our normal hotel being unavailable. When we arrived the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in room 227 which was a pool view 2 queen and I was actually kind of appalled by the state of it. There was weird vibrating of the building, no clue what was going on there. We have stayed in Springhills many times (my husband is Marriott Platinum Elite) and unfortunately this one just didn't feel up to par when it came to rooms. First, the couch was a pull out and not a twin bed trundle like most are at SpringHill and it was very uncomfortable. In addition to this the couch was filthy and stained and the cushions were pretty worn. We did tell the front desk about the stains because we wanted to make sure we were not charged for it. Their response was "we do our best", I guess not their fault but definitely not doing their best when the couch looks like that. Next there were smears on the wall by the sliding door both inside and outside. No clue what these mystery smears were but its was really gross. Finally our AC didn't work. This was what eventually got us moved to a different room. Our new room was better; working AC, no mystery smears, slightly stained couch but it was still pretty worn and uncomfortable. TV in the new room was basically unusable as there was such a delay between it and the remote we just gave up. Water in the sink took forever to drain when washing hands/brushing teeth. The queen beds were also pretty uncomfortable but tolerable. Amenities were nice - they have some fun yard games such as checkers, connect 4, Jenga, etc a fire pit and lots of comfortable seating on the Pool level. The pool was small but fine on a weekday when not many people were there. There was also a hot tub and I liked that there were 3 gate entrances to the pool. Beautiful jasmine along the wall that made the whole deck smell amazing in the evening. Our room had a slider door to the deck area and we spent a lot of time out there. I was told there were screens in the past on the sliders but none of them had them now. The on site bar is only open 5-10pm. Breakfast was just ok. Wish they had a waffle station and more drink options. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, oatmeal, and various breads. Housekeeping staff was very very nice, polite, and helpful at all times. Overall: I don't think we will book here again unless we're really hard up for a room that can accommodate our family of 5. read more

Solid property with large rooms and extra amenities that make a longer stay doable. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient at check-in, and the lobby and first floor communal area were clean, bright, and tastefully (in a corporate way) decorated. Security seems to be good with solid doors and locks, and the air conditioning (thankfully) seems to be working well despite the current heat dome. Burbank is a great city, and this SpringHill Suites is a great option within an easy 10 minute drive of the Burbank airport. read more

This hotel is in a great location. It's clean with shopping and restaurants near by and it's in a good neighborhood. However, we had significant challenges: 1. Check in process was not smooth because they front desk staff couldn't figure out how to split a reservation between points and credit card. Plus their credit card terminal kept returning a decline. I called my credit card company and they had never even received the transaction. The staff wasn't rude but sort of "I'm sure it's you not us." 2. Door locks and keys: All week multiple times a day our room keys would stop working. They weren't getting demagnetized, it's a known problem because they insisted it relates to the deadlock. Maybe that's true but why not fix it? We likely wasted 2-3 hours across 5 people and two rooms. For the record, I travel to Marriott's all of the time. In fact I have Titanium Elite status for last year and lifetime Platinum Elite. So I'm experienced Marriott traveler. read more

Burbank, Bob Hope Airport, Universal Studios Hollywood, Warner Bros., Walt Disney, and Nickelodeon Studios. The hotel features suites which have swivel Smart TVs, workstations, and relaxing views of the mountainside. The hotel provides includes complimentary breakfast buffet along with a beautiful designed outdoor patio and swimming pool. Also, their Nineteen26 Bar & Lounge opens after 5pm where one can relax after a long day. The rooms are clean and well maintain and their overall staff is wonderful. We unfortunately were in Burbank when the temperatures were extremely hot, so our choice of activities limited. read more

The perfect place for a family meeting. The location is great and the hotel was super clean. The suite was big enough for two of us. We did have a squeaky toilet which we had to keep taking off the lid and turning a plastic screw to stop it. The room location was not the best. It was second floor near the elevators so it was noisy outside our door. Hence the 4 star review, but the staff, common areas and details\amenities were just what we needed. Free breakfast was available (hot foods changed daily) and the bar was just enough to keep us inside and conversation going. Arika in the bar was fantastic and when we brought in food, she gave us water, utensils and anything else we needed. Bonus was the hot chocolate bar at night in the lobby with all kinds of add-ins. So many private places to sit and chat, even outside since the outside pool area is huge. There's an indoor parking garage for a daily fee. There's a great area to shop down the street and grocery and coffee the other direction. read more

The lack of professionalism and disrespect I experienced this evening at your SpringHill Suites Los Angeles Burbank/Downtown property. The evening manager, Miranda Manto was rude. She was sarcastic and disrespectful. I asked another staff for a manager and she in a loud tone, you don't need to ask for a manager, I am the manager then began to raise her voice and argue with me about how I disrespected her rather than her disrespecting me. My husband had to tell her to lower her voice politely because she was clearly acting unprofessional. We stay at Marriott properties frequently when traveling and have not been treated like this. In fact, we stayed in. SpringHill Suite the evening before in Orange County without any issues. My husband and I are professional respectful people. We enjoy staying at Marriott but the disrespect I received tonight was unwarranted. Please watch the video. The staff seem to be afraid because they did not even answer my question when I asked to speak to a manager. She also made a sarcastic remark about I upgrade your room, but it's the same room I always stay in. My husband and I stayed here on a Saturday night as we were in the area for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Check in was easy and quick. Self parking is in their structure and is $22. The room was clean and super spacious. So quite. We took advantage of their complimentary breakfast the next morning. Nothing fancy, just a simple eggs, waffles, bread, oatmeal, cereal and most importantly, coffee. I wish we would've stayed longer and taken advantage of the other amenities like the pool, which was surprisingly large. Or had a drink at their bar during the daily happy hour. Every worker we ran across at the hotel was great and went above and beyond to help make our stay a great one! All the amenities were clean. My mom stayed here twice for longer/extended visits. Always had a great experience. The desk staff/management are always friendly. Breakfast crew is nice and helpful. Custodial staff were very nice and accommodating. Arika in the bar is a delight and very attentive - friendly and great with all the customers. Hotel is in a great location, but you will most likely need to drive a very short distance to get to the actual Downtown Burbank area. There were some renovations happening this year on the patio area during her stay, but it wasn't obtrusive. The pool/patio chairs could be replaced, some are sagging and not supportive, but otherwise no major complaints. read more

Stayed here for the weekend for my cousin's wedding. The room was clean and spacious. It was nice that it had a fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable. There was also a couch to lounge in. They do have breakfast available in the mornings, which is self serve. The employees are vigiliant about telling hotel patrons to wear a mask. There were a few of them not wearing masks and the hotel employee kindly told them they needed to wear one. The breakfast was decent. Nothing fancy, but if you want some fuel before you start your day, they do provide some. They also have small bottles (complimentary) of water at the front desk, which is nice. They do have a mini area where you can buy snacks, drinks, and toiletries. Overpriced items to be expected. If you are trying to get an Uber or Lyft, for some reason it is difficult for the apps to recognize the location. I asked one of the people at the front desk about it and he assisted me with tips for getting the app to work. There is free parking available in the garage as well. read more

This locations is great. However, the room itself was definitely not deep cleaned or well cleaned at all. We got a suit with 2 beds and a sofa/living room area and the couch was extremely DIRTY and stained! Carpet looked like it has not been deep cleaned in a long time and the tile in the bathroom as well. The grout was dark and gross. Shower curtain was dirty and The sheets on the beds where inside out. I don't think we'll be staying here again :( read more

Since Marriott doesn't seem to send out customer reviews for all of their properties, I will hope they take a look at these reviews. First off, $25 dollars is very high for parking. It is not a congested downtown area, you could park on the street easily. One of the elevators was broken our entire stay and you needed to wait 10 + minutes for the one that was working or take the stairs. No ice in the ice machine most of the time because one was definitely not working possibly two of them were out of order. The good, room was clean and quiet, the outside area near the pool was nice for eating the dinner take-out we got one night. Breakfast was adequate, wish they had waffles or pancakes. Also a lot of games for the kids to play outside (Giant jenga, giant connect 4, giant checker.) read more

The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming and attempted to find service solutions to the issues we had during our stay. That's the only good thing about this hotel. Be warned, if you're sensitive to sounds in the hallway or of AC units turning on and off, the hotel has locked out the ability to keep the AC fan operating continuously. The AC units tauntingly have a continuous fan button, but it's intentionally disabled and the hotel refuses or is unable to enable it when requested. The staff offered a box fan that did reduce noise from the hallway. However, the fan doesn't help with the noise of the AC starting and stopping. During our stay the ice makers on floor 2 and 3 were not working. The front desk staff graciously provided ice from a hidden location in the breakfast kitchen. Also during our stay, one of the elevators was not functional. The remaining elevator is moody. To reach the 5th floor, you need to press the button in the elevator rapidly and continuously, otherwise the elevator would return to the first floor. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The attendant on duty, at time of check in, was the sweetest individual and so helpful to answer any questions we had. Our room was so fresh and clean, and the breakfast provided was delicious. The staff were kind and respectful too when we had to request non down pillows due to an allergy. My family and I stayed here on Thursday to enjoy a full day of Universal Studios on Friday. Our stay was free for the most part as we had enough points to cover the nights stay. Checking in was good, the staff as others may have mentioned were super friendly and helpful. The first room we got unfortunately was not up to par, carpet was still very wet from what we assume was a thorough carpet cleaning. Went downstairs to inform the staff and they were more than accommodating and immediately changed our room. The rooms are spacious, the tv is accommodated in an awkward spot but whatever, they have signs saying adjust the tv for viewing which we did and it was fine. The carpet however was pretty bad, like someone dropped sauce or maybe blood, we were afraid to walk without shoes on, which needles to say should be with any hotel room as carpets can get pretty gross. The only other issue again like others may have mentioned is the very loud AC unit, mainly the fan inside of the unit. My god I usually do fall asleep when traveling without issues even on my first night, but I didn't sleep a wink, maybe got 3-4 solid hours of sleep which was rough considering we had a very full day of walking at Universal Studios. Note to management, kudos to having a super friendly staff, might look into better carpet care and definitely figure out how to get those AC units running a heck of a lot quieter. The street noise and our neighbor upstairs who walked like they had bowling balls on their feet were ok, but the AC has got to be corrected. 3 stars for staff and room size, minus the two stars for the carpets unhealthy appearance and my 3-4 hours of sleep. read more

Nice hotel. It was modern and clean. The "free" breakfast is underwhelming. You get a white bag with a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich, fruit cup, juice of the day and a granola bar. It is more like a kids lunch. The rooms are nice, you can make a reservation to enjoy the pool and there is plenty of parking for the $18 a day fee. Staff was welcoming but did not offer assistance with places to eat or things to do in the area. I would stay again just for the location and how nice the hotel is. read more

What I really love about Springhill Suites are the fact that every room is a suite. It is a nice luxury to have and a great expectation for those who love to have room when they travel. There is no real luxury vibe from this location, not that it would be surprising. The views of are of the small city area of Burbank with an IKEA close by and the backside of the mountain the Hollywood sign is on. But you still get that gorgeous sunset hitting those hills and your room feels comfortable, yet modern. The pool is nice and the courtyard for it has a huge fire circle that will make you want to circle and have intimate conversations with friends at night (open only till 10 PM though). The parking structure is nice and easy to get around. The staff are friendlier though they are definitely far and in-between. The worst thing I could say about the place really has to do with the breakfast which was meh at best. If you like scrambled eggs and do-it-yourself bagels than this is fine. There is no glitz and glamor to this hotel though it saddles next to Hollywood. Instead, you get a large suite close to the freeway, walking distance from bars and restaurants, and free, stable WiFi internet. Not a bad place to stay at all. read more

I'm going to go on a whim here that the front office was told to integrate people of color. They have done everything to make my family and me uncomfortable staying at their hotel. Maybe I should give the lady my office number and social security number so she can verify my credit as well as two pay stubs They have fact-checked us every step of the way. They have spoken with the family that is grieving for a parent after we told them. They carry an attitude when we tried to speak to them I guess they thought we were lying. The two stars in this review are for it's location and staff friendliness. If you enjoy walking to dinner and having drinks this place is in an excellent location. Also any time I had interaction with staff they were very warm and kind. It's lack of 3 stars are for it's cleanliness. We found so many long brown hairs in our sheets and on the floor and bathroom (none of my family has hair like this). The carpets were stained and gross. The couch was clearly dirty. When we were in the pool we saw many clumps of hair. It was just gross and we felt like we had to have shoes on in our room at all times. I understand that COVID has creating staffing shortages but certainly something can be done to make it so there isn't so much hair everywhere. It also takes a very long time to get anything to your room. For us this included extra towel and a pack and play. read more
