Absolutely loved this unique little hotel . With the friendly greeting what arrived to the size of the accommodation to the location . We booked the English suite and it was exactly as pictured on their website. The location is fantastic in between Sunset and Hollywood Blvd made it ideal for both attractions and restaurants. Walking distance to Walgreens and the walk of fame. The room was as like an apartment with separate living , dining and bedroom. All very comfy, huge bed , lovely sofa. Very generous with crockery, cutlery and glasses . Some very unique pieces to be used. They supplied plenty of ground coffee , tea , coffee whiteners and even some fruit. Free parking even though tight. Only issue was the wi fi was not that reliable. The hotel is in a lovely quiet street , felt safe. All in all loved our first taste of Hollywood at this hotel. read more

The Good: -Nearby some great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and venues. -Nearby the metro station -Comfortable bed, a small kitchen, and a lounge area. The Bad: -Was unable to reach anyone by the office phone during office hours or the emergency line both during and before office hours. -The toilet would bubble up water and send whatever you had in there to splash back at you. -The shower would also bubble up water and we could not use the shower without worrying if the shower would overflow. -The parking lot in the back is a one lane and can get easily blocked. -The water back pressure issues were not addressed during our stay (we left a message and no response) and after we called both lines and knocked on the office door at check out time the owner finally appeared and told us we didn't have to check out and that we could just leave (check out instructions were clear that was the case) but we wanted some help getting out since our exit was blocked. We explained that we were blocked in and I asked for an explanation for the phones and the lack of working bathroom and the owner explained that it rained last week and they thought it was fixed. That's it. Basically, this is a fine place to stay if everything goes right, but if something goes wrong, don't expect any help from the management of this place. Is it a normal hotel experience? No. But that is the main charm. When you stay here you feel like a person with a second home, not a fanny packed tourist. If you are looking for a home base located right in the heart of it all this is the best option imaginable. Unless your rich uncle lives off Sunset Blvd this is as close as you can get to a pampered trip where you feel like a local. I can't wait to get back. read more

Tucked away on a quiet side street in the heart of Hollywood lies Villa Delle Stelle. This place is a cross between home and hotel. What could be better? From reservations to check-in to the stay...everything was fantastic. Upon arrival, a gentleman (I didn't catch his name) greeted me and showed me the way to my cottage. Upon opening the door, I was so delighted. Cute. Cute. Cute. Being in the heart of the city made it easy to walk everywhere. I parked the car upon arrival and didn't move the car until check out. My friends and I stayed at the Enchanted Cottage Suite. It's a beautiful little cottage suite just a five minute drive from Grauman's Chinese Theater and the Kodak Theater. It's a newer suite that's not even listed on their website yet. I only found out about it by calling their office. For three nights and three people, it cost just $600. That included two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and a full kitchen with all the appliances you need. Plus, you get two flatscreen TVs, an iHome, and free WiFI. It's all very cute, clean and trendy. There are actually only two complaints I have. The first is that the office failed to provide us bedding for a third person. They were nice enough to refund us the extra fee we had to pay for a third person. The second complaint is the parking situation. Two or three cottages share a narrow driveway, so it's really easy to get boxed in. I would still recommend staying here if you plan on stopping in the Hollywood area. read more

I stayed here about a year ago and the reason I'm leaving a review so late was because I can't stop thinking about what a beautiful place this was! My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay near the Pantages. This was perfect. While it was walking distance from the Pantages and Hollywood and Highland (ok that can be quite a walk but it was fine for us!), it was still tucked away in a nice quiet neighborhood. Originally we booked the Neoclassic Suite, but because we had booked way in advance , they upgraded us to the Parisian Suite (probably to accommodate guests who wanted the Neoclassic who booked later - fine by us!) The Parisian Suite was amazing. It was so beautiful! It was definitely a lot of space for just the two of us. This suite could definitely fit 4 comfortably. There was a dining area and kitchen, master bedroom, and guest bedroom with two twin beds. While the decor was not modern, it was still very chic and classy. Parking was easy for this suite as well as it's right in front of the property. They also left us a baguette and some cheese to welcome us. So thoughtful! Might I add that there's a Roscoe's that's about a 2 min walk from the hotel. Definitely a plus! Next time I'm in the area, I'll gladly book here again! read more

My first stay at the Villa was in 2011 when my boyfriend surprised me for my birthday with a little stay-cation (lived in LA at the time). It was so adorable and our stay can only be described as magical. Fast forward to now, my husband (same guy) and I were heading to LA for NYE and needed a place to stay. I couldn't remember the name of this place, but thankfully I recognized it when it popped up on a search. I was SO excited to be able to stay here again! We stayed in the English Suite and it was exquisite. It's like having your own craftsman house! It is decorated to the nine's and very, very well appointed. The front room is perfect for lounging and has a piano and loads of cool books to peruse if you're into that sort of thing (we are). There are lots of windows with plants/vines growing outside which really gives it an "English Garden" feel. There are also drapes on everything to give you privacy. There is a huge dining room table and the kitchen has everything you need. We ended up making quite a bit of food while we were there and we found everything to be very convenient. It really was like being in someone's English cottage. The bathroom was quite large actually and everything worked great. The bed was very soft, and although we prefer a king size, the queen bed was very nice and soft. Natalie was very accommodating from the initial contact through the end of our stay. When we were checking out, the man from the office came out and greeted us and even carried my bag down the steps for me, he was sweet! The only cons are that the neighborhood is a little sketchy. It's a 1/2 block from Sunset Avenue, so that's to be expected. We took Lyfts/Ubers while we were there and they showed up immediately, which was nice. Also there was a hiccup with the payment, I had booked through Priceline and paid in full, but they charged my husband's credit card upon check in. When I let them know, the charges were reversed immediately. I would not hesitate to stay here again and hope we get the opportunity to stay in all of the different suites! read more

Found this little gem off of a random hotel finder website, but booked through their main site in order to avoid any hidden fees. I booked it 2 days before my stay for a last minute attempt to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. We ended up staying in the urban cottage and I'm glad I couldn't find any other last minute places to stay. First impression: Surrounded by other condo-looking spots that look like rentals and a motel. The urban cottage is on the side, facing a few run down houses, which seemed a bit sketchy to me. The only way I could describe it is that it's definitely in Hollywood. We arrived at 7pm, which was past office hours and they provided self-check in instructions via email. Upon arrival, we had trouble opening the door because it was a bit stuck and we couldn't figure out how to open it. The email instructed to call Natalie if any issues should arise and I did just that. And I'm glad I was able to get ahold of her because she was so sweet and helpful. She headed over in about 10 minutes, which was more than what I could ask for. I apologized for the trouble and she continued to reassure me that it was not a problem. Inside: Don't judge it from the outside because you will be surprised. The inside is so quaint and homey. The room is spacious and the AC works perfectly. They have two AC units, one in the bedroom and small tv room with the pull out couch. The kitchen/living room area was clean and big enough to accommodate a small family. The pictures on their website perfectly show what the space provides and they don't deceive you like many other hotels. This cottage can fit 4-5 people comfortably. It's sooooo cute!!! My only complaint was that some of the kitchen dishes were dirty, but we did not really use them. And little styrofoam balls kept falling out of the bean bags. They accommodate one parking space for each reservation. If you have visitors, there is a $10 parking garage that is about a 2-3 min walk away, that allows you to park till 5AM, if needed. And there are many surrounding restaurants that are of walking distance, so you wouldn't have to find parking elsewhere. I wish we stayed longer. And if I ever find myself needing to stay in Hollywood again, I would choose this spot over and over again. Thanks Natalie, for all your help! read more

My boyfriend booked the Neoclassical Suite for us for my birthday. The suite itself was beautiful. It was small, but two people for one night don't really need too much space. I really appreciated the tucked away location; it felt very exclusive and private. It was also close to all of the destinations we planned to visit, which was a definite bonus. There was coffee, tea, cream/sugar, and water provided in the fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom had plenty of towels and a hair dryer. There was even an iron and ironing board. Definitely felt homey. There were a few hiccups that don't necessarily warrant a full star being taken away, but they are worth mentioning. Prior to our reservation, we were asked when we were planning to arrive (1 pm). Later on, we receive the confirmation that check in time was 3 pm .. so deciding on a time to arrive was obsolete. We wound up pushing out arrival time back to around 4 pm, and upon arrival all of the parking was blocked by a wedding party. So, even though we showed up late, we couldn't park. Thankfully, the manager was helpful and arranged for us to park in the driveway until the party left. I later discovered there was a room above ours .. so I got my first taste of what it's like to have upstairs neighbors . Overall this place was great, and I would stay here again. My husband and I just stayed a night in the La Petite Suite. The suite is small but charming, comfortable and clean. Within walking distance to so much and in a cute neighborhood. It's a little loud with street traffic but overall it's a great spot. Parking for one car, where we just left our car parked and chose to Uber to our planned events in LA and at The Greek. When we got back to our room there was a ghiradelli chocolate bar and bottle of wine waiting for us. Nice touch! read more

Arrived in LA around 10:00am and had started calling the hotel at 9:00am. The answering service they have told me the office would open at 9:30. I was unable to get anyone until 10:15.. Once I arrived at the hotel the girl at the front desk was very nice. I told her that I had gotten in early and wanted to see if my room may be ready. She told me I was welcome to my room but it would be $15 per hour until 3pm. In all the years of travel and all the hotels I stay in I have never heard of this type of policy . Once I was in the room I noticed that it was extremely dusty... The walls are dirty and the hood over the stove hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. I also realize that the smoke detector is not working! Now I am at this hotel for the next 5 nights and I truly hope that things get better because they have not started off well at all! read more

I chose this Hotel when I went to see a concert at the Hollywood Palladium. It was the cheapest hotel with in 10mi. Its not really a hotel, but a series of homes that have been remodeled and given a theme, for the price of a hotel room. I stayed in the Caribbean suite and it had full sized kitchen with modern appliances, the living room had a mounted tv with cable and a queen sized bed. Bathroom was well maintained. The bedroom also had a queen bed and bedroom set up. A friend and his wife who came up to show me around Hollyweird were floored at this little gem of a Hotel. The neighborhood seems a little seedy to those not from a major city, but its called Hollyweird for a reason. I personally wandered around half-drunk around Hollywood Blvd and then back to the Hotel at 2am with no issues. Bottom line if your looking to visit Hollywood and want to be within walking distance of both Hollywood Blvd and Sunset and want to live in a home away from home this is the Hotel for you! read more

Don't remember how I happened to stumble upon this place when looking for lodgings in my old hometown, but am SO glad I did!! We rented the little cottage in the back and it was so adorable and perfect. Since we were only in town for a long weekend, with a 3-year old and a pup in tow, we wanted a headquarters where we could invite the peeps to come to us, instead of us driving all over hell and gone visiting each one of them. With the full kitchen and beautiful private patio in back we were able to have little dinner parties both nights. On the first night the neighbors got a little loud, and the lovely owner came over to apologize and introduce herself. She's an interior designer, so you can imagine how gorgeous the place is. The only downside for us was that the washer/dryer for our unit, which is in a little closet off the patio, was broken, but we ended up not really needing it. I would/will absolutely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone who needs a HQ in H'wood! Oh, did I mention it's stumbling-home distance from Cahuenga? read more

I have to say that the owners are very very very nice and pleasant. The villa was really nice and pleasant and very spacious. It was also very clean. The location was perfect dead smack in Hollywood.... And right around the corner of Roscoes Chicken and Waffles..... The only thing that happened was when i opened the back door in the bedroom... Mosqitoes flew in and bit me through out the night... The bites were so bad that it is still itching till now in Sept w no exaggeration.... to the point where there are unattractive marks on my legs and feet.... Absolutely loved this place! We stayed in the Neoclassic Suite that was tucked in the back and was pleasantly surprised with the cute outdoor deck complete with a seating area. When we stepped into the 850 sq. ft suite we were greeted with a huge king size bed fully decorated with plush pillows and a color plasma TV. But wait it gets better, we turned the corner and my jaw literally dropped as I stared at a full size kitchen complete with all of the utensils I would own in my own home. This is perfect for anyone that wanted to bring their own groceries for some home cooking! Then it was off to the bathroom which featured a full size shower and his and her bathrobes that were sooooo soft! I wanted to take them home! Then last but not least, there was a living room/dining area with another color plasma TV. Whew! All this plus WiFi and a personal parking space for a decent price. Definitely wish we had more time to stay in the suite but we had a convention to go to. The only drawback was the fact that the guests above us would stomp around in the middle of the night but isn't a knock on the owners of this establishment - some people just have really heavy steps. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place to my friends that plan to stay in LA for a few days. Before I forget, Roscoes is literally a 3 minute walk from your front door. Great spot for chicken and waffles. There's also Denny's and Starbucks across the street if you want. And lastly, this place is a 5 minute walk from The Music Box in LA which features EDM music. I've never been to The Music Box but when I do go, I'll definitely stay here. QUICK TIPS 1. The parking space is compact so keep that in mind when driving up. 2. Miyako Japanese restaurant offers free delivery if you're interested but they're only a 3 minute walk anyway from your front door. 3. Street parking is metered. read more

I stayed at the Le Petite Suite. It was small, but very cute inside. It was also very affordable - about $180 for a little suite with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. I'd give them 5 stars but Villa Delle Stelle loses one star because I felt like it wasn't as clean as it could have been. There was a mass of cobwebs next to/above the bed and a lot of women's hairs were in the toilet when we arrived. I think it is important for their cleaning staff to not overlook details like these, because they made me wonder how well the rest of the suite was cleaned and those aren't thoughts that you want your guests to entertain. The other problem was that it lacked air conditioning. While this isn't a problem for most of the year, it was very muggy and uncomfortable when we arrived in the afternoon. I had to get dressed for a wedding, and doing so in a hot humid room was very uncomfortable. I assume this isn't a problem most of the year though. Overall, I'd give them 3.5 stars (-0.5 for a no air conditioning and -1 for overlooking a couple cleanliness details), but I'll round up to 4. It was a great deal for the price. read more

A lovely alternative to ordinary hotels...I've stayed in a number of their suites and enjoyed every minute. We even hosted a Christmas dinner for eight in the English Suite with their spacious dining room! Hostesses Natalie and Caroline are most welcoming and efficient. Each suite is an apartment with full kitchen, dining area, living room and one (if not more) bathroom. All are designed with a different theme complete with beautiful materials and comfortable furnishings. The street is quiet and each suite has a designated parking spot. The location is perfect (near Trader Joe's for groceries), and Hollywood sightseeing is in walking distance. Hard to go wrong by booking here! read more

This place really is a hidden gem right smack in the middle of the Hollywood area. The suite comes complete with a full kitchen stocked with plates, cups, coffee and accessories, tea, etc. There was a nice flat screen TV in both the living room and bedroom areas. Shared the junior suite with a girl friend of mine this past weekend and it worked out just great. Although we had a dedicated parking space (with no extra charge), there was no reason for us to even use our car. The location was walking distance to many of Hollywood's attraction, or even just a short cab ride away. I loved many other conveniences of the suite, such as not having to carry a key card or set of keys to the front door. They had a built in lock which is controlled by a keypad. Also, we had full access to a microwave and gas stove (which didn't get utilized, but was nice to have!) Found this place at the last minute while almost making reservations at The W. I'm sure glad I found it. The cost was $280 per night for the English suite which is sleeps 2 with a queen bed. This place is about 900 sq. ft. with all amenities - living room, dining room, stocked kitchen, and bathroom. All this while The W is about 280 sq. ft. and the cost was over $500 for a bed. They were accommodating as I requested an early 2 pm arrival and the AC be turned on which they accommodated. Very quaint and romantic. The only issue I had was the parking. Only 1 space assigned and there is no street parking allowed. The place was rather dusty and the kitchen sink and bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned. Overall a good experience and stay as we attended an event at the Palladium right door. Perfect for what we were looking for and central to all other sites within walking distance. read more

We found this place online and had tickets to see a concert at the Hollywood Palladium. It was the perfect location! Can walk around the corner to the palladium, Starbucks, Denny's. We stayed in the Art Deco suite. It was beautiful. The parking is for very small cars. Our Camry for snug. Only a few downfalls, the 2nd tv in the other from wouldn't come on, the remote to the ceiling fan was missing and was told had been ordered. The robes were filthy so we didn't touch them, and there was no hand soap in one of the bathrooms. It was cleanish but not super clean. I would still stay there again In a heartbeat. The bed was VERY comfortable and pretty. I'd love to come back and check out the other suites. Check out isn't until 12 which is awesome! read more

Stayed at the Le Petite Suite for just one night but wish we could've stayed longer. It was fantastic! The place was very, very clean. The bed was amazingly soft and comfortable. The bed is in a little cove which made for a very cozy sleep experience. The kitchen was small but had what you needed - Natalie even left us a large bottle of water and a bowl of fruit. Shower was very nice and there was plenty of clean towels available. The AC worked well and cooled down the entire place quickly. I could imagine on a very hot summer day, it would be warmer in there but we were very comfortable. The parking spot is tight but absolutely doable, even for a bigger car. We drove a bigger car and fit perfectly. The location is in a nice little neighborhood between Sunset and Hollywood Blvd. Took us less than 5 mins to walk to Hollywood Blvd. Really great location. Natalie was very accommodating and even left her phone number in case we needed anything after hours. Definitely recommend this place and will plan to stay here again if ever in the LA area. read more

We just stayed in the enchanted cottage 2 nights ago. I think YOU, potential customers, need to be aware of the heavy smoking allowed on this property before you book. There is a room or separate guest house directly beside the enchanted cottage. When you park, there is this wall with shutters into this other room/space. There is no glass in this large open "window" ... but a huge fan... that blows the cigarette smoke out while people are smoking inside. It blows directly (like 2 feet away) on your car and about 5 ft away from your windows and front door of the enchanted cottage room. We were exposed to chronic cigarette smoke our entire visit. It was gross. The beautiful decor and quiet neighborhood, of this very old home that has been renovated, did not justify the exposure to the chronic smoking you have to endure. We would never return unless they become a non smoking property. read more

I loved this little gem of bungalow vacation rental meets B&B kind of. It was so quiet, right off Hollywood blvd I really was surprised at how nice and peaceful it was. The location is prime, we went to see late night alumni and kaskade at king king and we walked there it was so close, I mean staying at this place turned an already amazing weekend into a even better one. The bed, amazingly comfortable, we stayed in the petite suite and it was so cozy, super small but had so much charectar a little home away from home. It really had that old Hollywood vintage feel. The service was amazing, it was incredibly private and just an overall great place to stay. We will be back for sure I plan on staying in each suites as they are all different themes and I love the idea and location. U are walking distance from great clubs restaurants shops etc. it does seem sketchy at night but always go out a with a buddy u wil be fine. LOCATION, location, you get it. This place is fantastic. My fiance and I stayed here for one night for my birthday. We were supposed to have a smaller room that slept 2, but were upgraded to the Caribbean Suite because the room was double booked. Who knew you could find a place with charm, character, comfort, and quiet for a reasonable price in the middle of Hollywood?! There are tons of excellent restaurant options within walking distance, and you can also walk to the Palladium and Pantages (which we did, to see Beauty and the Beast). Yes, the parking space for this room is compact, but we (barely) fit our Rav4 into the spot. This is the only place I plan to stay in LA from now on! read more

What an adorable place this was. I was traveling with my grown son so we stayed in their "junior suite" which offered just the privacy we needed. My son took the couch and I had the little bedroom area. This is a small unit, for sure, but so cute! Very clean and comfortable. I love being able to "live" in a city, not a hotel. And with our own apartment in Hollywood we are able to do just that. We started a few years ago at the "La Petite Suite". Perfect for a romantic getaway for just me and my wife. We had another couple come over after seeing "Book of Mormon" and they thought it was a great place. My wife often refers to it nostalgically as our "little love nest". :) This summer we took our pre-teen daughter to see "Hamilton" (!) and rented the "Art Deco" suite. She got her own room and so it was perfect for us. Having the kitchen makes it easy for in-house dining and we loved the way the place was laid out and the decor. Our last trip was just a few weeks ago, for LA exploration. So this time we picked the "Parisian" suite. My wife's favorite so far, but our daughter said she liked the "Art Deco" suite a little more. But she _loved_ the pumpkin pie Natalie gave us! All the places have great beds, and the "Art Deco" and the "Parisian" have balconies. And the staff are very friendly and make the check-in process really easy. Did I mention a great location? You can walk to food and other sights (e.g. The Pantages, Hollywood Blvd.) and a short drive to most of Los Angeles. Small negatives - slightly pricey, and not a great cable package. (But with free and reliable Wi-Fi the cable doesn't really matter.) My wife thinks the apartments can use a little bit of freshening up. But those are minor details, just to be completely honest in our review. We are big fans and we will be going to Los Angeles more just to stay here - and we still have 3 suites to check out! :) read more

We were in town to see a show at the Pantages theater, wanted to stay nearby to experience Hollywood. Directions were great, easy to find. We stayed in the enchanted cottage, it was nice, clean however the website noted the room slept 3 and the 2nd bedroom didn't have any linens or blankets only a pillow. I called the office and the answering service said they would notify the staff of our request. We never heard back from anyone. Parking spot is for a compact only & the phone didn't work. read more

This is an interesting place. We stayed in two different suites, the Hollywood Glamour Suite and the Caribbean Suite. We needed two bedrooms so these worked out fine. The living room has been converted into a bedroom in both of these suites. The location is convenient, although a bit sketchy. There is an abandoned house across the street and some "interesting" locals hanging around outside at night. The biggest complaint I have is that the gardeners next door came at 7am on the second morning. Yup...7!! Really?! I normally get up early, but on vacation I might like to sleep in! Overall, the place has some charm, but certainly not my favorite in the area. One final note...the parking is SMALL and steep for the Caribbean Suite, so if a guest does not pull their car all the way in, good luck getting by.
