First visit to this city and we chose this hotel for its location just south of downtown Pittsburgh and train access out back. Arrived on a Saturday afternoon and so far have not had any noise from the train line out back or the fire station next door. Parking garage underground with elevators that take you to the lobby or your floor. Breakfast is included. Kind of on the small side but still filling. Wish they had better coffee. Their new policy to clean the rooms every other day makes you become creative on where to hang towels and such to dry before their next use. We had a lovely view of a cemetery haha. If you are bored and craving ice cream, there's a Graeter's just three minutes down the road, serving hand dipped ice cream. read more

The beds are so hard and poor quality. My back was killing me the entire stay. We used to love staying here but we won't anymore.

This is a very safe, clean, and easy public transportation to the football game (on the T/lightrail). There are many cafes, bars, and restaurants to walk to from the front entrance. Parking is conveniently located in the back (for $17/day), and the T/lightrail is right out of the parking garage in the back. It could not have been more easy and safe to get to the football game. read more

This was a pleasant hotel. We normally stay at the crown plaza but the rates here were better this time so we gave it a try. Amazing. Comfortable. Spacious. Perfect for a family with small children. Fridge and microwave in the room. The toilet is separate from the shower with an extra sink and there's even room for a couch! Friendly staff, great breakfast that is complimentary and can't beat the location. Youre in the heart of Mt Lebanon and can walk everywhere for restaurants and local shops. Only downside is you have to pay for parking. Note: their parking is behind the hotel in a designated lot and isn't the public structure you see on the main road. read more

My mom stays here regularly when she visits my brother in the area. She always enjoys her stay. The staff are wonderful and warm, the breakfast is reliable and filling, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, and there is a solid pool and gym area as needed. I stayed here recently with her when we were in the area and I was really impressed. The staff were incredible. The woman at the counter was so friendly and helpful. Everyone that we encountered throughout out stay was personable and welcoming. I had great sleep in the room as well. The beds were comfortable, the AC was efficient, they were well stocked on towels and toiletries, and I was able to stay well hydrated after purchasing some bottles of Evian water at their front desk. There were a number of bigger events happening around the same time as our stay - a wedding and a reunion - so there was quite a few people leaving and arriving throughout our stay. It was evident that this spot is a convenient and popular stay for many in the area. I suspect during certain times of the year - it can fill up quickly. I'm looking forward to future stays here and I would recommend it for others who are looking for a reliable hotel in the area. Trust. read more

I visit this area of Allegheny County often for work and have stayed in nearly all Marriotts and Hiltons, so I wanted to mix it up a little and stay here on a recent work trip. *Checking in - Was friendly, went very well, and she hit all the important topics. Acknowledged my status, asked about parking, told me about their amenities, breakfast, etc and was helpful. *Room - Was decent, though slightly dated. Nice and interesting layout though, as the water closet was separate from the shower, with a sink in each. Nice separate living room and work desk area from the sleeping area, with a sliding glass window on the desk to open the two spaces to slightly "connect" them better. Sleep quality was decent, thought slightly on the firm side and I do prefer firm, but this bed seemed like it was a little more firm than other Marriott beds. The quality of the shower was great. I was only staying two nights and there's no housekeeping for that short of a stay, but there was plenty of towels to last me without re-using them (I NEVER re-use towels, especially in a hotel). Tissue was very poor quality and harsh though. *Location - If you're staying in this area to visit within a 3 mile radius, it's probably a nice location. But if you need to visit Moon, Coraopolis, or even the City at all, stay elsewhere! This location involves driving through these very odd/villages boroughs to get to the highway (which is 376 and they call it "The Parkway") and with all the absolutely ridiculous stop signs and lights they put up in this area of PA, it takes15 minutes to go 3 miles. The Pittsburgh Airport Marriott has one of the easiest to access locations as it's right off the highway. Though this hotel is within walking distance of many places to eat and/or grab a drink! And the restaurants in the Mt Lebanon are probably some of the nicest outside the city, to the west that is. *Property - It has a decent gym. They offer breakfast for free. There's a parking garage in the lower levels of the hotel, which is very tight to navigate, so if you have a full size pickup or land-yacht, it'll be hard! I had an Audi Q5 and that was as wide as you'd want in that tight garage! Overall, it was a decent stay, but I can't stand driving in Allegheny County and through all these silly traffic obstacles they make up, with lights and 4-way stop intersections. I'll stay closer to the highway in the future. read more

At first glance upon entering the lobby it's adorable..Didn't remotely love it here. Stayed for 3 nights, I had mildew (mold maybe) along the tops of my shower room (they had the toilet and shower separated). The cable constantly went in and out and when I called the desk, they gave me a number to call. Called them.. 2 hour wait time.. called the desk back and they said they can't help. Offered breakfast so I was looking forward to that, tried it.. not good. Eggs were both under, and overcooked in the same pan. Fruit flies everywhere. I hopefully won't have to come back here again until they get it together. Good location but bad service. The used towels were left in place when we first entered. Asked front desk for a new set of towels. We felt like we had to apologize but asking for them. For the most part I really enjoyed my stay at this property. I only wish I could have a 2 part review. I'd give the hotel facilities a 3 and the staff and breakfast a 5. The hotel is rooms are moderately updated and clean but bathroom was very small. the underground parking just downright creepy. Dark, dank and dirty, and to pay $15 to park is an insult. Now the pluses.. nice staff great springhill breakfast. Honestly I'm not usually a fan of the Springhill breakfast but the HUGE bowl of fresh berries and the quality of pastries surpassed the usual springhill breakfast. I would definitely stay here again but I would prefer to valet to avoid that garage. read more

This place went downhill. The room was so damp. towels don't dry so you can't be green and reuse. The toilet was way too low to the ground. a light burned out in the smaller room w the toilet. the bigger bathroom w the shower had such dim lighting you can't apply makeup. my husband struggled to shave. our drape rod snapped right off. The beds were hard, the pillows sucked. Then there is the free breakfast. i do fine at most free continental breakfasts at hotels. this was inedible. I saw a breakfast sandwich on a small croissant. well, it was rock hard. the ham was hard on the edges. awful. so I tried a pastry. also stale and hard. my husband opted for oatmeal. average at best. juice comes in very little cups. if you don't drink coffee good luck. i finally ate a yogurt, also really tiny cups. my advice, go to Eat N Park! won't stay here anymore. used to like this place. read more

The rooms at this SpringHill location are up to date and nice. I was having surgery at the nearby hospital and stayed here for my first week of recovery due to its proximity to the hospital and my doctor in the event of an emergency. We made our reservation several months in advance requesting adjoining rooms for myself and my BFF caretakers. The staff was more than accommodating. Their location is on a main thoroughfare in Mt Lebanon; there are lots of shops and restaurants to choose from within walking distance. read more

Modern, simple, clean with free breakfast. Stayed for a night before a conference at the nearby Mt. Lebanon high school. The room was large with a dedicated living room / office area. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toilet and shower areas were in separated rooms, which I guess can be a good thing if you have more people in a room, but it was a little weird for only one person. This new hotel is great. The rooms are lovely, the property is really nice and location great. Parking in the front is kind of tough, as they have only parking for one car while you check in, which is kind of bad if there is a car there. They need to have more parking in the front for at least check in....and parking is about 12.00 so that is much like other city parking for hotels. But the hotel is great and would highly recommend it. The rooms are really nice, love the set ups in the rooms, but they had no water in the rooms or for sale downstairs, as they may have run out of it . All in all a great hotel. read more

I stayed here on Marriott points! It's perfect! Great big rooms and very clean and quite. Right in the heart of mount Lebanon, so everything is walking distance, food,coffee ,bars, it's all here. The hotel has a parking garage for $15 a day, if you have your car, it's worth it. They do not charge in-and out fees, so come and go as much as you want. For being right on Washington road, it is really quite. There is a nice gym and pool on the 1st floor, plus free breakfast, and it's actually really good! It has long hours as well. Lots of great choices and fresh coffee all day. Nice little business center and the lobby is big and open and great for meeting before dinner or drinks Right across from the saloon and all the great food spots in the are also. read more

Wanting to be close to family, we opted for this location. There's a large parking garage connected to the hotel that will go directly to the floor of your needs (same elevator for lobby and room floors, very secure, need room key to open). At check in, we were greeted by two very friendly staff members who were superb. We opted for the king bedroom that had a large pullout sofa bed, large walk in shower, a separate toilet and sink. Everything was new and very clean. The price was extremely reasonable and the quality was beyond expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel! It's in the heart of Mt Lebanon so we didn't need a car at all, we were able to walk everywhere and easy access to check out great shopping and eateries. The following morning I had to be downtown and Uber arrived quickly at the front door and we were there in less than 12 minutes (with traffic)! read more

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it is always a great experience. The hotel is always clean and is a newer hotel, so it is pretty updated. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet that is included has a wide range of options. They do have a gym and both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are spacious and can comfortably fit a lot of people - especially with the pullout sofa. The hotel is in a great location - walkable to nearby restaurants, shops, coffee shops. However, I will say that you can find cheaper city parking - either in the open lot across the street, the meters on the street, or the parking deck right down the street from the hotel. The hotel charges a lot for parking and I have found it to be the most expensive in the area... and really not that much more convenient! read more

The three star rating is because the hotel is downtown and if you aren't familiar, had no way of knowing you had to pay for parking. Additionally, the hotel parking is around back in an underground parking garage. Could be a problem if you have a lifted truck. Not a great experience when you arrive. read more

Not sure what the one person who posted about 'no parking in front' is talking about b/c there are like 4 spots directly in front for unloading and checking in... Anyway, this is one of the coolest locations for a hotel in Pittsburgh, First, it is in the heart of downtown Mt. Lebanon which is jewel of a town. Within walking distance are taverns, a micro brewery (Hitchhiker Brewing Company), sushi, authentic Chinese, Thai, Middle Eastern, two coffee shops and a light rail station that goes directly to downtown Pittsburgh. The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is even a small pool to take a swim in. I really enjoyed hanging out on the patio out back with it's fire thingee and comfortable chairs. All is all this is a really great place to stay when visiting Pittsburgh. read more

Coming from out of town, this place is a bit hard to find. I have stayed at many hotels, but I have never been to one that DOESN'T HAVE TEMPORARY PARKING IN FRONT OF THE DOOR. Seriously, the biggest turn off about the location for me is that. Right there. so before you can park (cause parking in their garage is like $24 a day AND you can't park in the garage before you get your key card!!!) You have to find curbside parking somewhere and walk to the hotel. For me, this was over a block away from where I was able to find parking. The building also isn't branded very well, so it's easy to miss the hotel completely. The inside of the hotel is nice, and the suites are nice. Parking is a pain, because you have to go into this teeny tiny alley in order to get to the garage, and then in order to get INTO the garage, you have to make a really sharp right hand turn, which if you aren't careful, WILL result in damage to the passenger's side of your car. The garage itself is small and cramped, and your vehicle will barely fit into the space. As someone who doesn't like parking lots due to the fear of accident, this was the worst place to go. Next time, I think we'll choose the one in Monroeville with free parking. read more

This place is way small and not cleaned properly very small pool has a lot of scum along the walls and there is a swim class that is held there that takes up all the room in the pool So if you want to hear small children crying while you're trying to swim that's what it will be. The outside deck area is very nice. The Manager Wesley was not willing to give any money back or even care when I being pregnant could not stand the smell of the rooms because they're highly perfume with some kind of cleaning agent I work as a management assistant to a very big cleaning company and none of our cleaning products bother me and I got very sick in the first 15 minutes of my stay I wanted to not stay I asked if I cancel my stay but because I put my credit card on file before seeing the room not thinking I'd have a problem they said no to giving any of my money back. I ended up staying anyway because he assured me that he would charge me the full price regardless I stayed because we wouldn't be able to afford to go get a Nother hotel somewhere else at a lady minute price with out him giving us something back and I didn't want to disappoint my family needless to stay my night was vomiting then they charge my card more than what they originally said $147 I was told $124 And in the morning a little old lady stocking the breakfast bar gave me a nasty look for going for second, again I am pregnant and having an extremely empty stomach after puking all night I found myself pretty hungry. Also The bed was hard but I will say the people at the front desk later in the night were very nice and also did try to move my room to fix the problem but sadly it didn't help I just could not wait to go home I was in tears over the whole thing. I will say I did love the fact that they used good product like paul Mitchell and the lobby was very cute and the breakfast bar is a nice thing they offer but for the price it was just not a good experience for me. And I felt like the management was uncaring and unfair. I stayed at so many hotels This was the worst experience in fact i have no complaints about any of the other Hotels the only other hotel I had a problem with was a hotel downtown called Wyndham there the bed sheet wasn't cleaned when I told management they immediately fix it gave me another room and even made my parking free witch was in my opinion going above and beyond I was so thankful that I would recommend them and I stay there quite often. Also the Embassy suites is worth the money never ever a problem and I've had motel 6 never problems hope this helps someone don't be blinded by the location quality service is everything. read more

Not a bad hotel but staff is some what stand offish and not apt to greet you when you walk in. Upon entering the hotel I stood at the desk for a few minutes while front desk staff talked about their school work, never looking up or saying hello until I prompted them a second time. My partner and I spent three nights here recently and our stay was pretty perfect. My only misgiving is that, if you check-in online, they charge whichever credit card that you used to book the room. I wanted to use a different credit card when I arrived, but that wasn't possible. Otherwise, the room was large and clean, the free breakfast was surprisingly good, and the gym was clean. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night and were very impressed with everything. The room was clearly very clean and updated and the beds were extremely comfortable. It's only about fifteen minutes from downtown and beyond that, Mt. Lebanon has tons of food and bar options within walking distance. We had no parking or breakfast issues. We stayed on a Friday night and I parked on the street and got to my car before paid parking began. Parking cost and problem, solved. The staff was very friendly and it was almost Halloween so the front desk girl was in costume. We both thought this was really cool. Had a weekend stay here while visiting Pittsburgh. Room was spacious and clean, the bed was just perfectly comfortable for me. The breakfast spread wasn't bad, the scrambled eggs were a little odd tasting. If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I into PA today from Cleveland, Ohio. I pulled up put front and noticed there was no where to park. I walked into to lobby and was greeted by a young man. I asked him where the parking was located. He said, "down the street in the parking garage. I said, that's not going to work for me for several reasons. I do not park in garages when I travel...this garage is not like next door. I said please cancel my room. I said I am a Platinum Member if I cancel by 6pm I am not charged. He said NO THAT IS NOT THE RULE AND WALKED AWAY. He came back and said, you cannot cancel same day. I walked to my car and got my phone. I called the 800 number at Marriott they confirmed my answer and asked to speak with the Manager who was now at the desk. The manager said, "IF MARRIOTT WANTS TO SPEAK WITH ME THE CAN CALL ME". I WAS HORRIFIED. Mind you...the Marriott rep is on the phone during the entire conversation. The young man said. Are we done. I walked out. 30 years I have been a member and never this level of rudeness and blatant disregard for the customer. She should be fired and NOT work in the hospitality industry. read more

I was thrilled to find a hotel within 10 miles of my destination at the last minute. The price was acceptable, so I booked two rooms. The lady I spoke to who took the reservations for two rooms was very helpful but very distracted and I had to repeat names, phone numbers, email addresses and cc info twice. She also was not on site or knowledgeable about the hotel and could not tell me if the parking was adequate (we have service vehicles to park, so it's always a question I ask). Fast forward to my techs getting there and calling me to tell me there was no parking. The gentleman at the front desk pointed them to a hotel down the street (thank you) where they checked in. Two things would have made this whole experience a non-issue: 1. The person taking reservations knowing about the hotel they were booking and 2. There being parking available. My only other complaint is that I never received the confirmation email for which I repeated my email address twice. I'm in customer service, and while the customer isn't always right they should get the service that is not only common practice, but promised. read more
