Want to share the most horrible experience staying at the above place and the way the staff treated…read moreus. I booked 2 nights (19th and 20th July )stay thro my Costco travel. 1. They did not have the room that I booked and gave me an accessible room instead. 2. They had me listed for one night and despite showing my Costco reservation, they charged me for the extra night that I paid for. I had to call Costco Travels and they called the hotel to rectify this. The front desk is rude to the core especially "Kemoy" (he was on duty the day I had to check out. He also gave me a hard time when I requested a late checkout on Monday when the hotel was empty. The Manager was even more disappointing. Despite my call at 8:30 AM with the front desk requesting that I speak to the manager until my check out around 11:45 AM, he did not have the time to meet with me. As a Hilton honors member, I felt let down by the quality of service extended to me. Murali

In no circumstances should bed bugs be taken lightly, but when we conveyed our grievances, we were completely dismissed. The front desk clerk tried to urge her manger that our case was urgent. After calling the manager however, she then informed us that her manager, Emma Mallick, said it was her off day and she was busy. They made no effort to reassure or compensate our stay at another location. Instead we had to beg for a refund AND receipt showing we were reimbursed. When being assertive about our experience (and telling them we had bed bug bites) they then proceeded to call the cops. Luckily the cops were very understanding of our situation, and we were finally given our recipt. t's so common for Black and Brown people to be policed when expressing our grievances regarding how we've been mistreated, and not serviced correctly. We made no threats or physically harmed anyone, but the cops were still called because we expressed our service was unacceptable after not only discovering bed bugs, but being bitten by them. I will also like to add that after the lead house keeper showed us the bed bugs, she informed us that for the last 6 months they've been experiencing a bed bug problem. So I repeat, do not stay here under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I've attached pictures of the BED Bugs and my bites, I can't upload the video :/

We booked a room here in a pinch when our construction job was delayed. From our first interaction…read morewith the incredibly accommodating concierge - I think his name is Mike he had a ponytail - to our room we knew we were getting a better experience than we had expected Then we went to the pool. Wow, what a facility! Indoor hot tub, outdoor hot tub, indoor/outdoor pool, men's steam room, women's steam room, rain forest simulation chamber, kids play fountain/kinetic sculpture. The shallow end of the pool has a curtain of water that falls from the ceiling and various fountains/massage jets. For two guys on a multiweek construction project out of town, the aquatic center at Hampton Inn Wheeling was the best surprise either of us can remember lately. HIW had more to offer though. There was a shuttle service that took us to supper, brought us back when we called (and they showed up in about 7 minutes) later, we took the shuttle to the casino We both somehow beat the house for some decent loot. And we taken back to the hotel by the shuttle at two am Both drivers were exceptionally gracious and polite. This unassuming looking hotel hides spectacular accommodations and flawless hospitality. Apparently it actually is because there was a poster near the elevators that indicated that Hampton inn was voted the best in the world. It also won like a best hotel in West Virginia award also. Who knew? Right off the highway, restaurants literally basically just off the edge of the property including, and I would like to highlight, TACO BELL. Room was decently sized, about average. Beds were comfortable. TV was smaller than I have expected recently and I don't recall them having the option of connecting Netflix or any other streaming services which is nice, relying on what is on cable at that particular moment is a drag and I don't know how we did it for so long. Towels were plentiful. Shower was nice. Multiple mirrors arranged in just a way that your partner can watch you on the toilet from the bed if you leave the door open, as we discovered. I'll spare you the photos that were taken. Not a bad choice.

Kudos to house keeping really staying on top of the pandemic. Nice big rooms with plenty of storage, walking space, walk in shower, and sofa. I also love the little bar in the room with mini fridge. Not a particularly well run hotel, and the staff is even worse. Though I appreciate the fact that…read morethey're renovating certain floors (about time based on the look of the place), I could still hear the drilling from the floor above or below me well into the early evening, making my "quiet enjoyment" of the room I rented and paid for near impossible. On my last night, I found they'd violated my privacy by entering my room while the Do Not Disturb sign was hung out. It was not accidental and it was not an emergency situation of any kind. Navaeh, the front desk clerk, who answered the phone when I called, rudely responded to my concerns with, "call back in the morning and talk to my manager". I asked to speak to the manager on duty and was told that there was no manager on duty. I've traveled to hotels around on five continents and there is ALWAYS someone on the property to deal with problems and guest complaints. Not here. When I asked Navaeh to call her manager, she said she would not. So, I went to the front desk in person, and Navaeh would not come out of the office to deal with the problem for the longest time, but eventually one of Navaeh's colleagues finally showed up, he said they were on the phone with their manager (so I guess she actually COULD call when there's a problem). But alas, no resolution to the problem, no apology for the problem, no accommodation for my experiencing the problem, NOTHING. Someone should teach people in the hospitality business what that word means. I'm was visiting Pittsburgh to meet with a company I'm buying and I can now be certain that when any of the 50 people who will be traveling to this area several times in the coming year will NOT be staying at this hotel. Their loss. There's a seemingly great Hampton Inn that has good reviews right next door. I'd suggest you go there.
