Toni Toni Toni!!! The best check in, in a long time! I have been a long time Marriott member and she absolutely went above and beyond. I recently had a bad experience with Marriott and was contemplating jumping brands but it is people like Toni that make me keep coming back. I usually travel alone and have a preference for high floors but on this trip I had my kids with me. She saw and moved us to a lower floor so they would not make a lot of noise. Also, this particular location the layout is better than other spring hill suites as the toilet is separate. read more

Do not stay at this hotel. Our room had two thermostats. The first night we stayed we could not get the air below 75. When we asked that it be fixed before leaving the hotel we were told it was fixed only to enter the room and discover it was still 75 degrees. We asked that it be looked at again. We then left the hotel again. Upon coming back we were told it was fixed and that it was our error as we should not be inserting our hotel key into the slot that makes everything in your room work but instead we needed to use the flap on the window unit to control the temperature. There was no shower gel in our shower. We asked for it to be refilled on two occasions and it was not. Saturday night we had to check out at 11:30 because of the loud party going on in the lobby. Not the nearby conference room as the hotel clerk indicated. While we waited for her to speak to her about the noise I watched as the phone rang and she hung up on multiple patrons. When I had called the voicemail box was full. She called the general manager and asked him what to do and she kept having to yell and repeat herself over the music. He told her to tell us they had rented the conference room and they were more important than us so would not be getting our money. We left. When I called the next day the general manager yelled at me and told me I was the only one who complained which was not true as several other friend who stayed there told me they had tried to call but couldn't get through or talked to the girl the next day when checking out. The place is not well kept so I recommend one of the nearby hotels in the area. read more

I had an awesome stay here! The room was clean, the private bathrooms were amazing with having the shower and toilet in their respective spaces. The hottub actually worked which is a big plus and hard time find sometimes. They also had a complimentary breakfast, and we had no complaints! Front desk staff was incredible! Miss T Kelley made my day with her warm and friendly attitude, she reminded me of a relative and I oddly felt at home! Overall I was impressed with this hotel as a whole. We frequent this area every holiday season for family visits, and I look forward to booking this location again! read more

Overall, a good place to stay if you need to be in the area. They're right off the highway in an area that seems to be developing quickly, meaning you'll really need a car as there's nothing in waking distance. The pros - * Clean room * My room faced the highway and I wasn't bothered by road noise nor did I really hear other guests * Friendly staff Cons: * My room was clean but not all that comfortable. About 1/2 of the light sources just plain didn't work. Odd placement of light switches too. * Shower kind of sucked - it's a dual control that isn't especially intuitive so I spent most of my shower burning up with no water pressure, not realizing both could be adjusted Overall, I would stay again but the person that did the interiors here should be sacked or at least forced to stay here for a month or to live with their crappy design choices. read more

Staff was very friendly, I just wish before they charged my DEBIT card, they gave me the opportunity to put charges on my BIZ credit card, that didn't happen, but I'm sure I can get corporate to fix. I just stayed at Springhill Suites in Richardson due to inclement weather so I could make the short commute to work. My husband booked 5 nights through Expedia. For 3 nights there was no power. So it was a freezing cold room with only 1 blanket and I was unable to use the microwave as no power. I was lucky to have hot water two mornings for a shower. There was no housekeeping service or continental breakfast. So I decided to leave a day early. I called the hotel the next day to question a charge of $107. This is for incidentals & if the establishment thinks it is appropriate they will refund that charge in 3-5 days. I know the hotel has no control over the weather; but a discount seems appropriate as services advertised were not provided. read more

The toilet room is separate from the shower, which is a great idea. Everything looks relatively new. Didn't like the A/C -- the vent is so low and blowing so hard so close to the bed. Brand new hotel, great staff first off then the hotel is amazing. So they changed to non magnetic keys and use RF tag keys so you dont have to worry about your phone screwing them up. Also they are the first US hotel i have been in so far that is using the same ideas that hotels in Europe and South America are with energy management. When you enter your room you place your key in to a holder that then turns your lights on and HVAC on. when you take it out they all turn off. this way if you leave something on when you leave we arent wasting energy..thank you Springhill Suites!! back to the hotel...yes its brand new so its going to be nice but really this hotel is great, they have a bar and of coarse the new Marriott market if you have a late night craving and again the staff is awesome here!! read more

First time here. Super clean hotel with a friendly staff. Everything looked amazing. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone even though it's in a somewhat remote area. Bring some vittles with you because there is no place to eat around here which was disappointing but still doesn't detract from the great stay that I had. This hotel is great and Dawn was AWESOME! She was such a life saver for us at 6am when we arrived. Clean and nice hotel! My only gripe is the frosted windows on the sliding doors to the bathroom - when someone goes in there in the middle of the night the frosted windows let all the light out and light up the entire room! Would've been 5 stars otherwise. Put a different panel on the doors! No reason to let all of that light out into the main room. read more

Great, fresh, clean, non-smoking, new hotel! I only give it a 4 star for a few reasons. 1. no restaurants/food close enough to walk to. 2. Jury is out on if the breakfast eggs are real or not! 3. The windows DO NOT open, and it is annoying not to be able to get fresh air in the room. (The air freshener and air conditioning gets really old after staying there 14 days) 4. The air units are too close to the bed and are loud and hard to control a constant temp. The pool, gym and lobby are welcoming, clean and vibrant. 3/4 of the staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy! read more

Big pluses: + relatively inexpensive + very clean rooms and linens + decent breakfast (better than what you get a a lot of other breakfast included places) + easy access to freeway/local sites. Other positives: + Free wi-fi. Decent speed and doesn't cut out. + Adequate fitness center Could be better: - Staff not very friendly. Reception staff functional but not excited to be there. - Not many dining options close by. All require at least a 5-10 minute drive. - A bit stingy on toilet paper and towels. For a family of 4, an extra toilet paper roll doesn't last long; and 2 towels just don't cut it! Once we asked for me we were fine - but why have to ask when the room is meant for 4+ occupants. Even with the extra for high speed internet, there is really no connection. It keeps dropping and when it is on, it is a craw. Very nice location. Close to highway. Staff efficient and friendly. There were really noisy guests running around on the floor above mine. The room is modern with separate area to shower from the toilet, and you must use your keycard to keep the electricity on. Overall very clean. There was a bit of a odor in the lobby but it could've come from the downstairs bar that also serves food items. Great value... I would definitely stay again. read more

We stay at a hotel every weekend from March-mid June as we have to travel for my sons baseball tournaments. This was by far our best stay yet. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and well stocked despite how busy it was. The pool area and gym were both was very clean. Our room was beyond fantastic. It was the cleanest room I've experienced from a hotel and I can't say enough how happy that made me. Cleanliness is huge in my book!! The set up of the room was great and very functional as there were two bathroom spaces. One with the toilet and a small sink and the other with the main sink/mirror and shower. We just stayed six nights at this location. Check in was easy and everyone was beyond helpful. We were staying with 10 other families for a baseball tournament at the same hotel. They put us on the same floor which was awesome. We had a queen bed and a pull out sofa. The pullout sofa was broken on one end. We called the front desk and they immediately brought up a rollaway bed. It wasn't a big deal, but made our room extremely crowded. Housekeeping came at about 8:30am every morning, which was too early for us. We should've been smart and caught onto their timing and put the do not disturb sign on the night before. Each morning like routine though, we told them to please come back later. They left two towels every day which were not enough for the four of us, so every night after we would get home from the baseball games I would call and request two more towels. Most times someone would bring them up, several times I was told to come get them at the front desk. The lobby and seating outside closes at 10 PM. We were really disappointed to find that they would not let us sit and eat at the lobby tables at about 10:15 PM after a baseball game. There is literally no room to eat in our room except on the bed or sofa. The towels are like using sandpaper, I'm not exaggerating! I had to go to Walmart, which is only a couple minute drive away and get a new towel for my daughter because the other was too rough for her baby skin! Overall it was a great stay, but I wish customer service was improved as well as the layout of the room. read more

My guests raved about the accommodations, the friendliness of the staff and the great breakfast each morning. There were a few issues with guests making reservations in the block, however the staff addressed them quickly and everyone got the appropriate rate for the specific date range they needed.
