I didn't really use the hotel very much but it was quiet and away from any potential chaos, which I appreciate. I was in town for a conference located at the Marriott nearby and could easily keep car at the hotel and walk over. Room was nice. Always appreciate a fleece blanket and the hand lotion as most Marriott hotels I stay at never have them or it's hit or miss. It was easy taking the stairs since I was by them to get up and down when I needed. Overall, good stay. read more

I was a guest here over the weekend and enjoyed my stay. The lobby and hotel room was in satisfactory condition for our stay. We had a basic room with two beds. We found the beds and sheets comfortable and cozy. Hotel was right off the highway and parking was easy to access. There is not a continental breakfast, but they have a small coffee bar area to purchase Starbucks, beverages, and other light breakfast items. I would stay here again. read more

The Courtyard is consistent-which is nice when you're on the road a lot. This one is newer and is very clean and well maintained. The bed is soft-very comfortable, but the pillows are much too big. I ended up with a crick in my neck sleeping on them. The walk-in shower is nice, especially the placement of the faucet. I appreciate being able to turn the water on and not get wet until I'm ready to step into the shower. Beware-the water is soft-great for skin, terrible for slippery floors. My biggest complaint about this particular property is the location. You're butted up against an RV dealership and warehouses. Nothing is walkable, so plan on using the shuttle (I didn't realize they had one until checking out) or renting a car. Overall, this is a solid place to stay. Just know that you're kind of out in the boonies, and you can plan accordingly. read more

The customer service from the front desk is horrible. I've been here two nights and the tv doesn't work and the front desk guy tells me he can switch me rooms and that's about it as the maintenance is gone for the night. Obviously I'm not going to repack everything as I'm leaving tomorrow and he said in a matter of fact tone that he will make not of it. A little help and/or understanding would have been nice. You have many options in this area for hotels. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF CHOOSING THIS ONE. read more

I was in town for a work training and found that Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Plano/Richardson was conveniently located across the street from the office. I was more than satisfied with my stay at the hotel, and I wouldn't mind staying there again. I had no issues with customer service. From the front desk to the shuttle driver, all the staff whom I've spoken with today and/or who assisted me were exceedingly nice and helpful. The hotel has quite the amenities. There's a decent bistro on the first floor, the hotel shuttle provides free transportation within a 5 mile radius, and my room had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. My room was immaculate, and it was huge. I think the hotel was newly built or renovated. The shower, for example, was really nice. I was also a huge fan of the workstation. The TV swivels and you can watch Internet TV, so I capped my night watching Netflix on the lounger. Not much of any scenic views from my window, but I don't think you can really expect any around this part of town. read more

The location is convenient (right of Bush Tollway) but the surrounding are pretty industrial-parkish. Non-the-less, it was a quiet and more than adequate place to stay. I loved the oversize chair in the rooms and the beds were super comfortable with an ABUNDANCE of pillows. (That's a huge plus in my traveling book.) Shower was large as well stocked with Paul Mitchell products. I did have problems with the heating unit and finally figured out the secret to it on my last night (but I'm not sure I could explain it here). Coffee/lounge area in the lobby was nice. Baristas seemed very cheerful in the early morning. This was one of the "conference" hotels and I was pleased to see that check-in and check-out went pretty fast. There were coffee makers in the room but no tea. I would definitely stay here again. read more

This is my second home every time I am in Plano, TX. The staff, bistro and bar are very accommodating, attentive, friendly and just good people all around. There's a few exercise equipment in the small gym -- treadmill, elliptical, dumbbells, etc. Good enough to get a sweat on but when you come out here in the summer, you'll be sweating regardless. The rooms are consistent and always clean -- king bed, work desk, couch, more modern TV, and a spacious bathroom. I'm only giving 4 out of 5 stars because the water in the shower has a weird mildew smell. I'm not sure if it's from older pipes or a bad water supply but I have to use a strong scented soap to shower. The other reason are the pillows. They offer no support at all and I had to smush 3 of them together just to prop myself up. read more

I agree with most reviews here. Nice new property with comfortable rooms. The staff is nice and helpful. The location is dreadful. On a major highway in the burbs. You can see across the highway some chainy strip mall stuff ...but can you walk across to it? nope. The shuttle will take you though. Texas highways are not pedestrian friendly. Yesterday I asked if they had a running route. The woman at the desk smiled and said "our shuttle driver can take you to a park". Ha! I giggled. The shuttle starts at 8 and ends at 10 pm. So I ran this AM through a. backstreet in a truck distribution center and industrial area. Not not not a great location. The hotel bar is both a bar, cafe and restaurant. Missing all the good elements of each of those. So....eh? Nice room but boring spot. read more

purchased a room for this hotel on accident . Needed a double bed some how purchased a single king. NO problem right . Noticed this less than 30 minutes after purchase. Call them up on 7-20-21 at around 9 pm and the person on the phone was very disrespectful and ended up hanging up on me. mind you as I just purchased the room less than 30 minutes prior to this call. I tried to call them and the person who picked up the phone was a straight ass. he basically said we are booked on double rooms. I informed him well in that case I will have to find a different hotel that can accommodate. I will be sticking with a Marriott. his response was I don't care we are still going to charge you. do you want me to cancel your room here. so after informing him the purchase was less than 30 minutes prior, and that I was staying at a sister hotel that can accommodate. he continued to be an ass and That's when I got upset. If a hotel policy does not include the allowability to cancel under this situation. than that hotel policy is a fail. and this guy was a complete ass about it. and then ultimately hanging up the phone on me that's great business practice and customer service. all the info was right in front of him. it was obvious I just purchased the room. and none of that mattered. I'm sure he could have easily refunded the charge but chose to be a condescending jerk instead. I am currently contacting my issuing bank to push for a refund. as like I said stayed at a different Marriott for the night . one that was able to accommodate. Management needs to look into this individual as from the second he picked up the phone I knew the situation would not be resolved. Fortunate enough I will survive without the 106 dollars charge. but what if I was not in that position? still doesn't matter this hotel should refund me. the 48 hour cancel policy doesn't apply when the room was purchased less than 48 hours prior to stay. read more

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel for a business trip in Plano. My company paid for the entire stay. It seems like a brand new hotel. Everything looked fresh and new and up-to-date. Location It took about an hour and 45 minutes from DFW at 2 pm. There was a lot of traffic. My GPS app was not set to exclude Carpool/HOV and so I kept missing my exist, so make sure if you are alone that you set your app to avoid HOV/Carpool Lanes. There is lots of construction going on at both the airport and around the hotel, so it's possible to miss your turns. Room I had requested a king room. The room (202) was a nice size. There is a small sofa and a table if you want to sit and eat there or use the table for your device. There is also a desk/office chair and full size table and desk. A large TV in the room mounted to the wall, with the usual channels. The room looked brand new, several people I rode up with in the elevator said they think they are the first one to use their room. Bathroom The bathroom was large, with one sink and plenty of counter area for all of my makeup, hair and toiletry needs. There is only a shower, no tub and it is behind a glass door. The toilet, sink and shower are in one room with a door. Caution - I sent this to the hotel separately. They use water softener and the shower floor is very slippery when you are showering. Also, the hot and cold water in the shower are reversed. That needs to be fixed before someone scalds themselves. I found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable. I was able to regulate the room temperature easily the second and third nights, the first night I don't think it was working (my co-workers next door at the Residence Inn had the same problem). The hvac was not noisy. There are very bright lights outside as this room overlooks the pool. Even trying a few things to keep the curtain closed, it still let in a lot of light. Check In Check-in was okay, I used the app to check in online earlier in the day and give my arrival time but it didn't seem as if I was expected. I came in and another person was checking in or something and so both employees were working on this guest's check in and it seemed my check in was a nuisance. Every time I walked by the desk, no one was there, they were always in the back room and popped out when someone came up. I received my requested (pillow preference). My room was ready before Check-In (the app notifies you when your room is ready). They also didn't have my phone number for some reason. I have been a Marriott Rewards member since the earth was new and he also questioned my company name (also the same for the last 19 years). Hotel Staff The other hotel staff I interacted with were very friendly. Housekeeping did a good job on the days that I requested service and were friendly to speak with. Parking There is an open lot all around the hotel. Noise I never heard a thing, it was really quiet, especially while sleeping. Safety/Security It seems to be a safe neighborhood. I didn't go out late at night, so I don't know if the doors lock or if they have any type of security staff at night. Restaurant/Breakfast I had dinner one night and had the burger. I would not recommend it. The fries were good, though. GPS/Cell Phone/Internet My gps worked fine getting around the entire area and got me to the correct location every time. Cell phone service was perfect everywhere in the hotel. Hotel free wifi worked fine for my needs to check email and Facebook. Airport Service They do not have a shuttle. The airport service shuttle was not working on the day my team was leaving for some reason (a Friday). The hotel staff recommended Uber or Lyft. If you are not renting a car, you might want to make sure of how you plan to return to the airport before you book here. Overall this would be my first choice the next time I come back to Plano. Stayed here one night, 09/01. Check-in by Jacinto very efficient. Lovely "bistro" area for bar & light food. Our room, 2nd floor with king, was quiet and very pretty. King bed very comfortable and bathroom was huge!! Enormous shower and plenty of towels. Even though our room was right by the elevator, we didn't hear a peep. NOTE: There is no free breakfast or even coffee. While the Bistro is nice, breakfast items were expensive as was the coffee. You've been warned. read more

After reading some of the reviews previously posted I have found that I couldn't disagree with them more. During my stay the staff was extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed. The room has anything you could possibly want for a few nights stay. Large flatscreen TV, in room Wi-Fi, A large workspace area, and the most important thing, one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. The complaints others have mentioned in previous reviews about the sound has actually been addressed by the hotel. They are currently working on a project to soundproof all the windows. And during my stay I did not hear any of the sounds of the freeway or any other outside noises. I would certainly recommend this hotel if anybody is looking for a comfortable place to stay that is in a great location and in very close proximity to areas such as the City Line shopping and restaurant area. A multitude of corporate businesses including State Farm and many large technology headquarters. As well as only 15 to 20 minutes away from areas like the shops at Legacy. Enjoy your stay. read more

New property; which has its perks. Front desk is very friendly, as are the attendants at the café. I am a huge fan of the new room designs with the large worktables and walk in showers. The drawback from this location is that there is absolutely nothing around when you head out in the am. The café is slammed and I would prefer to stop at a "real" Starbucks on the way or something similar. Unless you want to do a complete driver around loop; there is nothing open/built when you make a right out of the lot. Why 3 stars? - Mattress is WAY too soft. I try to choose new properties because they have fresher/newer linens and towels and a nice firm new mattress. Whoever purchased the ones here ended up getting too soft of a mattress. I am not sure how its going to hold up with time, as it's too soft to beging with and the main reason why I will not be coming back to this location. - No business center, not even some spare paper, pens, pads or envelopes. - Seems that they forgot to do a full sweep of the place before opening, as there are several areas in the rooms and throughout where the carpets could have benefited from a deep clean after install and final remodeling. 6/22/19 I stayed at your Courtyard on Jun 4-6 (2nd time). My experience with Andrew Reveles has been great. I have a bad foot and can barely walk. Andrew greets me at the door and asks if I need any assistance. He makes me feel like family every time I walk by the front desk. When I call down for assistance- no matter what it is, he goes out of his way to ensure I'm taken care of. Not only does he do this for me, but he does it for everybody that walks thru the door. It is the personal touch and personality of Andrew that made me start driving the extra miles to your hotel. I travel a lot and would have to rate your hotel as my favorite in my 5-state area. As true to experience, your entire staff was Outstanding the rest of my stay. Brittany, Scott, Esperanza and Matthew were very helpful and friendly too. My husband and I stayed here for almost a week around Thanksgiving while visiting the Dallas area. Really, really enjoyed our stay here and everyone was very friendly and warm (only one employee, curvier with long light brown hair, was fake nice and had an edgy manner about her, but everyone else was awesome, especially the older woman with short hair and the Bistro ladies. The fake nice employee was a bit rude/brusque/snippy to my husband when we were checking out and she never said Hello to me when I appeared in the lobby/ignored me until I approached her to ask about something). Manager helped me check out and she was very nice and professional. Property was very clean and quiet. Room was spacious and great, bed so comfortable, bathroom was nice. I understand they're new-ish and I really hope they maintain this level of cleanliness and service. Everything was like your typical Courtyard: namesake courtyard in the back, Bistro cafe in the main lobby, lounge area by the back door to the courtyard. Bistro cafe closes at 9:30am for breakfast, but you are still welcome to sit in their dining area anytime during the day to do work or study. There are wall outlets and some of the bigger, longer desks had outlets in them. Bistro's bar is open at night depending on how many guests are in the hotel at the time (if not many guests staying, bar is closed). They have a laundry room, fitness room, and a pool. Laundry room only has 1 washer and 1 dryer, each run for about 30-35 minutes and use quarters only (you could get change from the front desk. They also sell detergent and fabric softener there). Parking: Complimentary self-parking lot around the hotel and also a complimentary self-parking garage to the left of the hotel. There is a Residence Inn Marriott next to it, so am assuming garage is shared with that hotel but not sure. Stores and shops (Whole Foods, Starbucks, restaurants, etc.) are all a short drive from the hotel, but you definitely need a car to get to them as the hotel is on the quieter side of George Bush Turnpike with nothing in walking distance. read more

Marriott is trying to squeeze every dime they can - every time. New hotel, which is great, so the rooms don't smell but all the features are so 20 years ago... Good luck trying to get any sleep with their A/C unit - the cheapest they could've bought. Tiny TV that doesn't turn enough to be able to see it from the bed. One-cup coffee maker and ONE regular coffee pod. Sorry, but you aren't going to woo any millennial like this - definitely not until there's a basic Nespresso machine in the room. read more

The worst hotel experience I have ever had. I booked a room with a guarantee for a late arrival. After standing in line the front desk employee told me they oversold and that I didn't have a room. She asked if I wanted to stay at the hotel next door to which I inquired whether or not I had a choice. She then told me that she could go ask the people in my room to move. I then went to the hotel next door which has no restaurant. They put me in a room that sounds as if my bed is in the middle of the highway. The internet wasn't working the next day when I got back to my room and the general manager informed me that I had been accidentally checked out. The customer service here is a joke. I still have another two nights left in this hell hole. Save yourself the hassle and stay clear of both the courtyard and the residence inn. They are managed by the same person. read more

Pros: Brand spanking new, so everything is clean and fresh and neat. Great front desk service. Bed was plump and comfy. Nice soft, lightweight comforter. Roll was perfectly clean and tidy. It's already nice to have a fridge and microwave, both of which I used. Nice separate bar area with coffee pot. The bathroom had nice features, like a cubby in the shower for toiletries. Nice big flat screen TV positioned well to be able to move slightly for viewing thought your room. Love love love the streaming options. I logged into my Netflix and watched my favorite shows. Plenty of neatly designed shelves to put your things. Cute outdoor area for sitting. Pool looked nice, but didn't use. Nice sundry area where I got sodas and water. Dining: great evening service. I had a beer to take to my room and later a pizza. Emmett was super nice both times, including offering veggies (tomato and spinach) on my cheese pizza, which I took him up on. Safety: I felt safe and secure. Good lighting. Safe surroundings. Noise: No issues, even though I was right by the elevator, and the hotel is right by the freeway. Location: in a row of brand new as well as still under construction hotels just office main roadways. Nice restaurants on the other side of the freeway, very convenient. I highly recommend Tricky Fish. Shopping nearby including Whole Foods. Cons: I wish there was a handle for getting in and out of the shower. I worry about slipping. I would've liked a makeup mirror. No real view. Mine was of RV sales lot. No room service, so had to go downstairs to get food and drink. Beer price gave me sticker shock, $5.50! Had hard time finding light switch on floor lamp. Foot switch might help. No tea with coffee service in room. Cons are minor. Very nice Courtyard. I always like Marriott properties. Highly recommend. read more
