This was not my favorite stay. I wasn't satisfied with the room or the level of cleanliness achieved before my arrival. Everything in the place was dingy. The staff was nice.

First time staying here in this hotel. It was ok just use to bit off something g different from Marriott hotels. Only issue I had was carpet could use a facelift and the rooms were nice and roomy but had a issue with the ac not working. But could not change rooms due to rooms not cleaned yet and others reserved. But I was no the only one another guest was complaining also about the AC but. And for some reason I'm sure the ac above me was leaking because I had this big wet spot on the ceiling.

Staff goes above and beyond and is soooo friendly!!! An example of such amazingness would be the fact that I had a package delivered to the hotel for work. Since the doors were locked and the manager only had access to the back room, and the fact I had to leave the hotel by 9am, the manager came in an hour + early that day to help find my package- and he was very nice about it. The hotel staff that morning was also super friendly and the staff when I checked in. The rooms are huge, new, and the bed was super comfortable. I didn't really eat the breakfast at this hotel, but they had a huge selection- (I was in a rush). I would definitely stay here again, there are a few shops around the area of the hotel and it's very close to the college campus. Thanks again for all the help!

Our stay at Springhill Suites was brief but sweet. We totally forgot about the time change from central time to eastern so we fast forwarded an hour into the future. We arrived at our room really late and had a good 3 hours of sleep. Parking was challenging, plus if was raining hard. There were no spots so we had to circle around for a while. Check in was okay. The front desk clerk was chatty and just a tad off-putting. Our king room was now unavailable he said even though he also said the system was showing five king rooms. Check in took quite some time. For some reason when we got to our room on the third floor it appeared to be a handicap accessible double beds room. We were too exhausted to worry about it. The room overall was quite nice and very spacious. They had a mini fridge and microwave. Water pressure for showering was okay but the water wasn't quite as hot as I believe it could have gotten. They had Paul Mitchell haircare and toiletries, a definite plus. The room had two bathrooms, one with a sink and shower, and the other with a sink and the toilet. I was pretty impressed with the size of the room. The beds and pillows were really comfy. They also had a sofa sitting area with a desk separate from the the sleeping area. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming. They had three juices, waffle maker, bagels, cereal, fruit and yogurt, one meat which was turkey sausage, eggs, oatmeal, muffins and whole grain bread. They didn't have biscuits and gravy or bacon. I liked that they had spinach out and salsa to make a mini bowl. I made myself a breakfast bowl with eggs, spinach, cheese and salsa. They had a nice coffee set up which I enjoyed Check out was a breeze. They had charged my card as soon as I booked so that I good to go. Incidentals were only twenty dollars a night so another plus.

We stayed for five days during holiday season visiting the family. I appreciated hip and young vibe through out the hotel, the lobby to the room. Quality of the furniture did look a bit cheap but for the price and the space....I was happy. Having a toilet in a different room with a sink from a shower only bathroom made more comfortable for two especially in the morning. It was like having one and half bath in a room (see my photo). I liked how light reflect nicely around the bathroom mirror. I didn't have a time to enjoy the breakfast at the lounge/bar area in the lobby but it looked okay with very basic stuff, coffee, teas..etc. One morning we needed to stay in late till around Noon and when we came back to the room late that night, the room was not cleaned. That was a huge disappointment. We had to wait for fresh towels before taking shower. Free Wi-Fi in a room was nice gesture if the connection was strong. It went on and off so much so that we couldn't use it so we used our cellphones instead.

I'd call this place barely a 2 star. Room wasn't as clean as it should be. Left over confetti from the person before us. Bed is hard. Water took 10 minutes to get barely warm enough to get in. Couch is dirty. Breakfast was a joke. Basic cereal, a couple yogurts, 1 single pastry until we had to ask them to put out something else out and they found some muffins to put out They are using covid as an excuse to be cheap. Not even a single banana or piece of fruit. I'm sure they could bag them up so they aren't "exposed". Seems to not be an issue at grocery stores.... One of the only reasons I choose this place was because they had breakfast. So now I guess we'll just have to go get breakfast somewhere.... also the pool was closed which was very disappointing especially on an 80+ degree day.

I paid about $260 for a nice upgraded room and it came with a free cocktail and snack hour AND breakfast the next day! The front desk host was extremely friendly and helpful! We did love our huge room and all of the extra freebies! I wonder if locals know about the free food and drinks because you could literally walk in the lobby and no one asks for room identification while you're dining and drinking! The staff is uniformly friendly and goes the extra mile to make you happy. The price is a bargain, particularly for customers who want 2 full meals per day (breakfast and dinner). Parking is free and convenient. All rooms have refrig and spacious sink countertops. However, I am forced to downgrade the rating due to the vehicle noise on the freeway side of the hotel. Due to poor construction and thin windows, you will hear cars and trucks roaring by your room all night long. The front desk was kind enough to provide a fan which provided some white noise, but we could still hear the freeway. Earplugs provided no respite. In short, I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are insensitive to noise

We originally booked a king room, but upon receiving the key we could hear a full-on party next door before even entering--music, shots, multiple people. We politely asked if we could move rooms (not trying to be party poopers), but there were no other kings available. The staff accommodated us by moving us to a corner double queen, which was much quieter. The receptionist who helped us was extremely friendly and understanding. I really appreciate her professionalism throughout our less than 24 hour experience. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt very dark and grim throughout--hallways, floors, and the room. Photos attached were taken during the day (with video at night). Our room door also didn't fully close; you could see the light peeping through the gap at the top - didn't feel secure. We stepped out briefly to check out the rooftop bar, which was bumpin for a Saturday night, but when we returned the hallway outside our room smelled strongly like someone had gotten sick. A towel was left in the hallway where it appeared to have happened--pretty gross. One small positive: the Crabtree & Evelyn shampoo, conditioner, and lotion were nice, with a pleasant, unisex scent. The boyfriend and I made the best of the night, but this was a very weathered hotel and not one we'd choose again if visiting Tallahassee. Also worth noting: there's no free parking. You'll need to pay for a garage or try your luck with street parking.

Other than that, I not only loved its Expedia (8.3 out of 1,004) and Hilton Honors (4.3 out of 5.0) rating, but that it was a mile out from the starting line for the event I visited the city of Tallahassee for. My experience with the young energetic receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00pm and ends at 12:00am! And check-out ends at 12:00pm! Home2 Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! After locating and entering the room I stayed in, I browsed around taking notice of the room and its kitchenette area. It came with a refrigerator, dishwasher, sink with garbage disposal, and dishware. Now the furniture in the room gave the room somewhat of a homely feeling. The orange couch, pillows, green footrest and the carpet in the room looked like something you would see in your grandmother's house I swear, tehehe. The workspace in the room had a rollable table along with a rollable chair. And inside the shower, there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. To further assist with a restful evening, the television had Calm installed on it which is the #1 app for sleep and meditation. I have continued utilizing Calm during many of my stays at Hilton hotels. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the three spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, a coffee maker (Cuisinart), a refrigerator, microwave, blow dryer, power adapter with USB and AC plugin, and several lamps which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Home2 Suites by Hilton, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! The lobby of this hotel is large and adds an energetic vibe. I was able to take note of that while waiting for my Lyft driver to pick me up and take me out and about. Within it there are several seats available for you to relax, enjoy your stay, or simply watch television. Inside of it there are also two desktop computers available. After returning to the hotel from touring Tallahassee, I could not help but notice the lovely fire pit within the patio, which is a nice touch! And surrounding the fire pit, there are several seats available to make your time relaxing and pleasant at Home2 Suites. As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. And I was pleased to see the number of dumbbell weights, medicine balls, a decent selection of workout machines, and a peloton fitness bike which I must say charmed me out of my panties once I spotted it. Even though I did not utilize it due to purchasing nutritional drinks that lasted each day, it was a relief having the option of the complimentary breakfast because I would not have had to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And for your information it is served Monday-Friday from 6:00am - 9:00am, and Saturday-Sunday from 7:00am - 10:00am. If you are visiting Tallahassee, Home2 Suites by Hilton sits not only within an acceptable walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and businesses, but a little over a mile from sights like the Civil Rights Heritage Walk, John G Riley Center & Museum, and the Florida State Capitol, which are few that I visited. I would surely book Home2 Suites by Hilton Tallahassee State Capitol again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I love that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in Tallahassee. ~ Keep moving Forward ~ Thomas G

Immediate reaction walking in - we were hit with a very strong bleach smell so were thinking at least it smells clean. Noticed the carpet in the lobby was kind of dirty/needed to be vacuumed. Had no issues with checking in as the manager was training a new clerk at the desk. Checked out the pool and workout room before going up to our rooms. There is an indoor pool; however, the pool looked dirty and needed to be cleaned and looked like it had damage to finish which was green and gross looking. We didn't plan on swimming so that was what it was. The workout room was small and we couldn't even take a step in due to the smell - musty/moldy. Ok- so not working out here. Up to our rooms and they look okay. Looks like it was probably remodeled a few years ago. Could see that it wasn't the best kept place. Trying not to get hung up too bad but the white towels weren't too bright - thinking it was probably just older towels. Room had no charging stations which had become a standard in most places. AC worked great, like an icebox. Next, sat on the beds - AWFUL squeaking. I see what looks like a dog's toenail on the bedding and decide, let's check the mattress. Something feels off and I usually check for bed bugs when traveling. I pulled the blanket and sheets, removed TWO sets of mattress protectors, AND a folded blanket covering the mattress under the protector, to find STAINS - gross, filthy, disgusting stains covering the whole mattress. Obviously being covered up instead of cleaning or replacing. The springs were broken in the mattress and could be felt poking up. The second mattress was also stained but not nearly as bad. We immediately left the room and told the manager the reason we were leaving, showing him photos. He very nonchalantly said "okay" without apologizing or showing any concern - probably because he knows. Only reason I gave a 2 star instead of 1 star is they refunded the rooms without any issues. This is just not acceptable for any hotel. We moved to another hotel north of this area and the difference was huge. East Tallahassee is obviously not the best area to stay, which we didn't know coming in from out of town but guessed based on the hip hop chicken joint next door and adult store across the street. North was awesome with tons of restaurants and shopping nearby.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee I-10 feels a little like a first date where someone says all…read morethe right things online, then shows up wearing cargo shorts and low enthusiasm. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just... aggressively average. The location is convenient, the hotel is generally clean, and everything technically works. Which, these days, weirdly feels like grading on a curve. But the property is definitely showing its age and could use an update. You can almost hear the furniture whispering, "We were installed during a different presidential administration." The staff experience was also a mixed bag. Some employees were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Others had the emotional warmth of a self-checkout kiosk. Housekeeping is every two days, which I know has become more common, but still feels a little strange when you're paying hotel prices and hoping at minimum someone acknowledges the existence of your trash can. Honestly, I was leaning toward two stars for most of the stay. Then on the way out, I met who I believe was the associate manager, Charles (I hope I remembered his name correctly). Friendly, personable, engaging... the kind of interaction that reminds you customer service used to actually be a thing. He genuinely brightened my morning and, no joke, added an entire star to this review by himself. Which raises a bigger question: Why has friendliness become such a rare luxury item lately? Especially when there's no line, no chaos, no stress... just another human standing in front of you. It costs nothing to be kind, but somehow it's become the hardest amenity to find. So overall, I'm landing at three stars. An underwhelming stay rescued at the finish line by one good human interaction. And honestly? Charles deserves a raise and possibly his own rewards program tier.

Bathroom cleanliness was not very good either. Breakfast was very average but available. I also used the fitness room and the ac was not working properly either. This seems like a very common place for business travelers as it was close to restaurants as well.
