We have stayed at a good number of Springhill hotels and this one is one of the lowest rating I've ever given to, here is why: Interior: standard Springhill decor, simple, and clean. Breakfast: they have all the standard items, and do get very crowded on certain days and time. Downstairs bar: rarely open, very inconvenient Front desk staff: friendly, professional and efficient Housekeeping: horrible, except the Sunday crew. We stayed here from Saturday- Tuesday July 5-9, on the 5th floor, the only day we received adequate housekeeping service was on Sunday, all the other days we came back to the hotel room, after 5pm, either the room was not cleaned OR the floor was not vacuumed , beds were covered up without underneath sheets were straighten or clean at all. See pictures, that's the bed after it was supposed to be made. I believe the hotel management do have all the necessary information to figure out who needs to be retrained on their job duties. Room: spacious, but...the air conditioning was super loud, even after we lowered it to the lowest level, it is still loud. Had to turn it off at times to get some rest . Body wash run out after 1 day staying, and I guess the hotel probably run out of the wall mount bottles so they gave us 2 small travel size bottles . No body lotion, had to ask for it. Amenities: there is a gym and pool on the first floor, small but good enough Location: convenient, next to shopping centers, restaurants and movie theater. Parking was easy. Next time when I am in the area, not sure if I will stay here, to risk for another unpleasant stay. Do recommend management emphasize on housekeeping qualities, since it is a crucial element when running a hotel. read more

Tons of parking. Attentive and present desk staff. Nice breakfast options -there were mini frittatas one morning and the turkey patties weren't dry and flavorless. The chair in the room kind of sucked but bedding and conditions were pretty good. The carpet didn't have a creepy crusty feel like many hotels. The shower head was too high (I'm under 5ft...) I couldn't adjust it which was inconvenient. Thermostat was pretty responsive and accurate. read more

Check in was easy and we were happy to sign the House rules. We won't be smoking and quiet hours are between 11 and 7, sounds good! Breakfast is between seven and nine and the fitness center is whenever. Room 304 seems comfortable and functional for one night. Happy to have a spacious clean room with a microwave, refrigerator and real Keurig coffee pot. Our bed was comfortable, temp was good & so was water pressure. There was the usual carb hot breakfast. I was disappointed to see many children Sunday morning around 9ish in their pajamas, without shoes appearing yo be unsupervised. They cut lines, grabbed food with their hands & emptied trays of waffles.... Check-in and checkout was quick. The toilet paper roll fell off the wall and when my 200 pound husband said on a barstool of breakfast it snapped. read more

It takes a lot of skill to leave people high and dry on a rainy evening, but that is exactly what this hotel managed to do today. Dozens of families with reservations following day 1 of a soccer tournament were left without a place to stay thanks to all of the staff walking out. I have to wonder who is running this place and how bad must it be for everyone to just walk out. If you enjoy the experience of booking a hotel room, not being able to get into it, and 5 hours later still wondering if you will be charged or not, this is your place. read more

Stayed September 4-9 and really can't ask for more... A covered area to unload your vehicle and then plenty of parking. Front staff and housekeeping are very polite and easy to interact with. The daily morning breakfast items were much more than expected. There were daily scrambled eggs and some type of sausage patties/breakfast meat, English muffins, bagels. A couple of mornings, biscuits and gravy were available. Daily offerings included cereal and yogurts, along with oatmeal and almost a dozen toppings. There was also fruit, juice, several coffees, and teas. Less that 100 yards away are several places for lunch/dinner. From approximately 5 to 10 PM there was a full bar (wine too) with many drink specials, and happy hour was 5-7PM. And the bartender, Melanie, was glad to make a recommendation or a favorite libation too. read more

So far I really like this place. It seems to be fairly new. Upon arriving the front desk clerk was accommodating, and friendly. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The lobby is pretty nice and spacious, and everything is very clean. Upon entering the room, I was surprised by the amount of space I got for the price. The bathroom is a AMAZING. I love the glass shower, and plenty of counter space. My room was stocked with more than enough towels wash rags and other things I needed. I received a very nice view, and didn't even have to ask for it! There was a beautiful desk area that separates the living suite from the bedroom area and I am using it to work, and it's working beautifully. The only thing that I would say, is that the TV, is in a weird position. So whether I'm watching it from the bed, or the living area, there's a weird glare, or you have to turn it. I also like the closet space, though I wish they were more drawers under the TV stand. I tend to fold a lot of my things and not hang them, so I would have liked to have a little bit more space. So far, I've been here for one day LOL I plan to update on the way out. However, I don't anticipate much changing. Due to Covid, they don't have the hot breakfast that I really really wanted. However they have a to go breakfast which should be OK. I will try it tomorrow! Apparently, it is fruit, to go juices, other. I'm excited! Go Springhill ! read more

Stayed here on business. Positives first...room was clean and spacious and near lots of dining options. Now the negative...the Wi-Fi crashed leaving television inoperable for the bulk of my stay. To me, a multiple day turnaround not acceptable. Second was breakfast...really scant options. Solid reminder as to why I generally favor Hilton. read more

The location is great - near lots of restaurants, i675, Wright State Univ - but i find it hard to believe that the televisions in this hotel take 5-10 mins before the cable connects so we can watch television. We are in room 321. I was told that the manager is aware of this problem with the TVs connecting with the cable but doesn't sound like anyone was working towards resolving the issue. So i asked who else i can speak with and was told i could call 800-445-8667 or go to Hilton.com and complain. I will do both. Otherwise the room was clean and we liked having a fridge, microwave and kitchen sink in our room. I don't know what cable company is being used here but sounds like Hilton hotels need to find a better company to work with. Four stars totally because of the TV issue. read more

I feel that the newer Springhill Suites never disappoint, and this one was no exception! I'm going to quickly underline the common area and features: -Indoor Pool -Public Restrooms -Fitness Center -Business Center -Complimentary Coffee and Water All areas were clean, and the complimentary breakfast they provided was excellent. The curb appeal was also excellent! As for the location, it was in a nice area and I honestly don't have too much to complain about, everything was convenient. Now for the room itself: Clean and safe both apply, as does reasonably sized, so no complaints here. Really I have nothing bad to say about this hotel (except for the lack of shower gel, personal pet peeve), and I'd definitely recommend it! read more

Our stay was very good, but the thing I would like to write about is the kind thing that the management did for us. We left our backpack in the parking lot and didn't notice it was gone until we were 500 miles away. We called the hotel and told them about it and 2 weeks later they sent the full backpack free of charge. This spoke volumes to me of their integrity. Thanks. read more

After reading the other reviews, I was confident in booking this hotel. We have two little ones under the age of 5, so cleanliness is a priority for me. Attached are pictures of parts of the room that were not up to par with what I feel is a 5 star review. In addition, the free breakfast was not as great as I expected either. There were two hot options (eggs and sausage), which was nice, and a large variety of sugary carbs ( muffins, breads, bagels, cereal etc), but no healthier items such as fruit or yogurt. For $200 a night, I expected a little more. We'll probably try another property next time we're in town. read more

Just want to say that the staff here is AMAZING! My coworker and I were to have separate rooms booked for us, by the group, but something happened. Monica, at the front desk, went above and beyond to make sure that we got rooms, AND was willing to call other hotels in the area, if she found there truly were no other rooms available, in her system. Due to an event in the area, most of the hotels were booked at capacity, so this was really above and beyond. My room was very clean and comfortable so a shout out to housekeeping for an outstanding job. I can also say that every housekeeper, on each floor, had a pleasant greeting as I walked the halls trying to get some steps in. You can't go wrong with this hotel and don't forget to TIP your housekeeping staff $2 PER PERSON PER NIGHT. If your room was as clean as mine, they work VERY HARD, so be kind! read more

Extremely clean, modern, and accommodating! Actual USB ports throughout the room and a Bluetooth speaker/ alarm clock! We got a queen suite and it was incredibly clean and roomy. Told them we needed an early check in around 11am and they took great care of us. They even had a great little snack bar downstairs and a very tasty breakfast the next morning. We were in town from Columbus and couldn't make the drive home over night and so happy we paid a few extra dollars to stay at such a nice place. I swear the closet is bigger in this room than my entire bedroom at home! Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area. read more

This was a really nice hotel. We stayed the weekend for a softball tournament. The bed were extremely comfortable. The bathroom is large. The deck near the main lobby is relaxing. We had dinner at City Barbecue and ate it on the deck. Amazing food in a relaxing environment. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a hot tub but that shouldn't be a major drawback to anyone staying there. read more

TL;DR - The SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Dayton has most likely converted me from my general Hilton loyalty to Marriott. First, the location is extremely convenient, right off the main highways. Second, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Third, the rooms, while maybe a little on the smaller side, were extremely clean and VERY thoughtfully designed. The person at SpringHill corporate who laid out the room design and amenities should be given some kind of hotel industry award. There were a great number of USB charging ports available at almost any point in the room. That's a nice plus, especially when traveling with a tech-heavy family. The regular King suite had not only a comfortable couch/bed combo, but it even had another trundle bed underneath it. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and stocked Keurig, and it also came with two wrapped sets of disposable plates and silverware. That seems like a small thing until you bring back carry out to the room and realize the restaurant forgot to include silverware in the bag. Fourth, the housekeeping service was not only friendly about my leaving the DND sign out all day, but they left a bag of fresh towels hanging on my doorknob. Usually I get a nasty call from the front desk or housekeeping when I deny maid service this way, and here at SpringHill, they left me things that they anticipated I might need. That's nice. Fifth, they have both an indoor pool and a fitness center that are better and bigger than a typical business hotel of this size would normally offer. Sixth, their breakfast bar was a cut above that of a typical business-stay hotel. I mean, it's not a full restaurant by any means, but the buffet included eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, trimmings for everything, and a selection of baked goods/pastries that were actually far better in quality than most hotels. Also, at night, this area becomes a decently stocked bar. If I could find ANYTHING upon which they could improve--and that's kind of a reach--I'd say their sundries store could use a few more items. For example, they sell contact lens cases, but no contact lens solution. However, since Walmart is just a couple of blocks away, this isn't really an issue. I'm just trying to think of something that wasn't blow-me-away perfect. In short, this will absolutely be my first choice for return trips to Dayton. read more

On Memorial evening Beavercreek was hit by an F-3 tornado and our house and car were destroyed. Family and friends put my son and I up here for a week. I cannot express to you how much Springhill became a home, safe haven and a comfort to us. The staff checked up on us, asked us if we needed anything, hugged and cried with me and were just all around amazing. Monica was my go to hug and watched out for us! Lana, even though her own house was hit, got us a gift card to help us. Kris, hugged and cried with me and gave me words of encouragement. Marcus, Shelby and so many more were a blessing to see and talk to during one of the toughest times in our lives. Our last night here is tonight 6-2-19 as a family is taking my son and myself in and I am actually sad to go!! This has been our home and when here we knew we were safe and in good hands!! I travel the country quite a bit. It comes with the job. As of this review, this is the best 3-star hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is great. A short hop across the parking lot and you're at the Fairfield mall. It's really clean. There's no dust on top the cabinets. There are no bugs on the window sills. The decor is sleek and modern. You get a sizable walk-in closet. The bathroom is incredibly roomy. The rooms have a living room type area equipped with a couch and ottoman/coffee table. Had the opportunity to stay at the Springhill Suites over the Memorial Day weekend. Basically, we had a good experience. Room was extremely nice and comfortable. Kids got to swim in the pool. The only exceptions to the weekend were checking in and breakfast. Check-in was posted for 3:00 PM. However, when we arrived, we were told that our room would not be available until sometime after 4:00. With regard to breakfast, there were a variety of items. However, some of the "hot" items were in fact "luke-warm". Made mention of it to the folks at the front desk. Would probably stay there again the next time we're in town. Thanks! Adam read more

This is a really nice hotel with large rooms, walk in closet. The front desk people are very friendly and super helpful. They greet and welcome you like family. The cleaning staff is excellent. They did a wonderful job keeping my room clean. Left fresh linens on the door if you did not want to be disturbed. And they too were very friendly and polite.
