Check in was easy and we were happy to sign the House rules. We won't be smoking and quiet hours are between 11 and 7, sounds good! Breakfast is between seven and nine and the fitness center is whenever. Room 304 seems comfortable and functional for one night. Happy to have a spacious clean room with a microwave, refrigerator and real Keurig coffee pot. Our bed was comfortable, temp was good & so was water pressure. There was the usual carb hot breakfast. I was disappointed to see many children Sunday morning around 9ish in their pajamas, without shoes appearing yo be unsupervised. They cut lines, grabbed food with their hands & emptied trays of waffles.... Check-in and checkout was quick. The toilet paper roll fell off the wall and when my 200 pound husband said on a barstool of breakfast it snapped.

Picture of our TV screen as we wait 5-10 minutes for it to connect with cable

The location is great - near lots of restaurants, i675, Wright State Univ - but i find it hard to believe that the televisions in this hotel take 5-10 mins before the cable connects so we can watch television. We are in room 321. I was told that the manager is aware of this problem with the TVs connecting with the cable but doesn't sound like anyone was working towards resolving the issue. So i asked who else i can speak with and was told i could call 800-445-8667 or go to Hilton.com and complain. I will do both. Otherwise the room was clean and we liked having a fridge, microwave and kitchen sink in our room. I don't know what cable company is being used here but sounds like Hilton hotels need to find a better company to work with. Four stars totally because of the TV issue.

Clean and updated rooms with great showers/bathroom . Nice bar area with happy hour specials with nice outdoors area. Near tons of restaurants... and Air Force base less than 10 minutes away.

    Dust!

After reading the other reviews, I was confident in booking this hotel. We have two little ones under the age of 5, so cleanliness is a priority for me. Attached are pictures of parts of the room that were not up to par with what I feel is a 5 star review. In addition, the free breakfast was not as great as I expected either. There were two hot options (eggs and sausage), which was nice, and a large variety of sugary carbs ( muffins, breads, bagels, cereal etc), but no healthier items such as fruit or yogurt. For $200 a night, I expected a little more. We'll probably try another property next time we're in town.

    Super cool sliding bathroom door!

I was grateful that the hotel has quiet hours posted on the wall when the elevator doors open. Thankfully it was adhered to cos in a previous hotel I was at, the kids were allowed to run up and down the halls and carry on loudly without any adult supervision. My room was spacious, clean, but the HVAC was loud and had to be turned up quite high to get the room warm. Then it would become too hot and just turning it down one degree quickly cooled it off too much. It was a neverending dance. I didn't have time for breakfast cos had to get on the road early, but it was crowded and loud with all the kids and their parents. BTW, there's a wonderful Polish/Lithuanian restaurant called Amber Rose about 12 mins from the hotel that's excellent. Seriously delicious food. Definitely worth checking out! You can see my review on it in Yelp. https://theamberrose.com/

Surprisingly, it is a lot like Hilton Garden Inn (which I like), just rebranded. The room was simple, spartan, with wood (tile) floors, no carpet. I was expecting to hear lots of things dropped on the floor or running up and down the halls. (I did not). Comfy bed, big TV, shower with glass door. Not a fan of the toiletries mounted in the shower (big plastic bottles are difficult to dispense). Pool, workout room, foosball table in lobby, breakfast included, parking lot. Lots of guests and I see why.

And in the evening (opens at 5pm), give the meatballs or the 3 cheese toasted cheese sandwich a try. The bistro also offers a good selection of cocktails starting at 5pm. Matthew, thank you for the martinis and the old fashions! This location could easily be a 5/5 if the follow were addressed. The rooms do not have a dresser or chest of drawer (for clothing). A dish for the soap in the bathroom would avoid a mess on the countertop. And more importantly, when one is done, showering, the showerhead drips, as they all do, but the drips land on a steel plate and it echoes throughout the room like a grandfather clock or wind chime. The fix was putting a washcloth on top of it. It was very convenient to be able to use the pool at the Marriott across the parking lot as the pool heater was down for maintenance. There is plenty of parking and lots of places to eat close-by .

It was a pleasure staying at this hotel and returning each day after work…read more It felt like a true home away from home. Safe, quiet, calm and super convenient. As another Yelper said the hotel is near plenty of restaurants, a mall, a movie theater. It's also near a Pet Smart if you happen to be traveling with your pet/s. It was nice having a Dollar Tree and Target nearby. This hotel makes it very easy to stay on budget with its close proximity to other businesses that offer cost friendly essentials. The area was very suburban-ish and familiar. With a full fridge, microwave, dishes and dish washer, it's the perfect hotel for an extended stay. My room was very clean, bed comfortable. I had plenty of space. There was a nice pull out desk for getting work done on the computer. It was very similar to an efficiency apt. The kitchen and "living" area could be separated from the sleeping area with a fabric partition that hung from the wall. The living area had a pull-out sofa. The room had so much space and I didn't feel cramped at all. The complimentary continental breakfast was decent enough and there are other options you can walk to such as Subway and Another Broken Egg. The tv had plenty of channels including every HBO channel. I was able to catch an episode of the The Last of Us while relaxing in my room. An added bonus where the cute duck friends that greeted me as I was walking back from breakfast on my last day. 4 stars because my window shade was broken and I couldn't let down the blackout curtain. Check in: staff was friendly and efficient, it is a one man show from housekeeping request to front desk, might be due to they only offer housekeeping service every other day. Room & Cleanliness: tight, definitely not enough room to move around if the sofa bed is pull out to use. Walking space around the bed is bare minimum. And the biggest one that got to us is the smell of the room. My daughter describe it as old socks and moldy. Mattress is thin, not supportive. Blanket cover had stains on it. There are hair and other dirty things on the sofa bed sheet. Not enough towels in the room, had to request more. Hair conditioner bottle was not working, pump couldn't screw open. Value: not really a cheap stay or deal , hence even more so disappointed. Location: very convenient, close to restaurants, shopping and more. Less than 15min to the Air force base. Parking: no shortage, easy to find. Did not have the breakfast there, so cannot comment on it.

WORST hotel stay I have EVER had. I have stayed in multiple Marriott hotels around the US and have…read morenever had an experience as atrocious as this one. If I could give zero stars, that is what I'd prefer. The front desk attendant JACKSON clearly has no real hospitality experience and should not be someone who represents Marriott to customers, especially Bonvoy guests. The weekend manager communicated to my father, who coordinated the family's hotel stay and has been a Bonvoy member for 10+ years, that even though 4pm was typically the latest check-out time, she could make it 5pm so I would be able to complete my work day. Today, Monday, the weekend manager is not in and Jackson "claimed" he called her and she said she never promised anyone a 5pm check-out. JACKSON did the following: * Verbally LAUGHED at me and said "guess you can't get around it this time" and called me and my family liars. This is extremely upsetting because my father doesn't just go around lying to people. We are people of integrity and if we were told by the manager they couldn't do a 5pm check-out, we would have had no problem respecting that. * I experienced multiple interruptions from housekeeping who clearly had not been told that WE were told 5pm was perfectly fine, and each time, the housekeepers said they understood and would tell the front desk. At 4:26, JACKSON knocks on our door and says we have until 4:30 to leave or we will be charged for another night. * JACKSON also defended giving us 4 minutes to leave by saying that the housekeepers already told us to leave multiple times. He clearly doesn't understand that housekeepers aren't in charge of telling guests they have to leave and there must have been significant miscommunication if he thought that we were demanded by housekeeping to leave. No, they ONLY said they understood that we spoke to a manager and that they would tell the front desk. * On my way out the door, they ALL YELLED "HAVE A NICE DAY" and it is clear that they relish upsetting customers. I told him this is no way to handle customers and if I was in his position I would speak to people much differently. He then gets aggressive and raises his voice and hands saying "WELL IM NOT IN YOUR POSITION" which wasn't even what I was trying to say. I then asked why can't Marriott own the issue and admit there clearly was miscommunication, apologize to the customer, and then come to a resolution by considering what can be done next? Jackson and the housekeepers looked utterly clueless when I asked this. Has no one here worked in hospitality before? Not the look Marriott wants. Going to update this review once I hear back from the weekend manager. Additionally, the room I was in has dried orange vomit splashes on the wall where you'd pull toilet paper from. The room my parents were in was unbearable for me to stay in due to the strong smell of old smoke and cleaning product. If you want good customer service and a clean room, DO NOT stay at this Marriott.

That's the case with Liberty Lodging, and I'm excited to rave about it. I stayed here for about two weeks (maybe more), and my experience was overall really good. The team that runs liberty worked really well with me throughout the process. With just one call, they either always answer right away or had a voice mail that ensures they will call right back (and they do!). Communication with them is very solid - be it via email or phone calls, so whatever concern or question you have, I'm confident it'll be addressed promptly. Before coming to Ohio, I knew I needed to book a place to stay. But I had questions about booking online, so I called the liberty lodging team. Guess what, they stayed on the phone and walked me through the process! - In booking online, I love that they didn't require my credit card info up front. When I arrived at the place, the reserved unit was waiting for me. It was very pleasant. The unit had: - a nice, cozy living room with a big sectional and a big TV - a full kitchen (with dishwasher, sink, stove, microwave, utensils, dishware, pots and pans, counter... etc.) - a spacious hallway - bedrooms with super comfy beds and pillows, and fresh, clean linens + study desks - each bedroom had its own designated bathrooms - the unit had a washer and dryer - outside, there was plenty of space for parking - there's also a secured front door, and an option to secure each bedroom - it smelled good, and whoever their house cleaning service company was, shoutout to them because they were excellent! I could go on and on with the specifics. I really liked their business plan. I came here to attend a program at AFIT, and I had roommates, which I really liked, in part because they were nice, and in part, because I am super down to expanding my social network. If you are too, then this place is something that you might truly like! Unfortunately, I had to move elsewhere because my boyfriend came to town to visit me and so I asked my roommates if they were cool with him staying with me for a couple of days. But one of my roommates wasn't comfortable having a male in the unit. So, with respect to my housemate's preference, I adjusted and just moved to Country Inns, which was just around the corner. Issues like this happen, and that's separate from the establishment. So overall, I enjoyed my stay at Liberty Lodging, even though it was a short time, it was absolutely a time well-spent. :) It goes without saying that I highly recommend liberty lodging!
