Very clean room. Located across from Outback and Texas Roadhouse. We did book a room that appeared to have a jacuzzi in the living room area but instead got a jacuzzi bathtub so that was disappointing. Biggest issue came on check out day. My husband went down to get coffee in the morning and when he came back up the door card didn't work. He went down to get it turned back on. When he returned to our floor a man a few doors down had the same issue.....went for breakfast and got locked out. We would stay here again although another door card issue would have us rethinking our choice. read more

Very clean and comfortable stay. The pool was nice and my four year old really enjoyed that we had it to ourselves. Bed was quite comfy and the lighting was great (some hotels have almost fluorescent lighting that just kills the ambiance). Breakfast was adequate. Not elaborate, but the area was clean and they offered a decent spread. It was a convenient location and it was very quiet at night. Check out was at noon, so we were able to take our time. read more

I really WANT to write a good review of this hotel but... I've spent five nights here and I am glad to say the rooms are comfortable, priced fairly, spacious, clean, and the lobby area is the same. The bathrooms are clean and have decent water pressure in the shower. The staff is certainly friendly, but unfortunately they are incompetent and it reflects poorly on the management. If these employees were trained properly and handed the correct tool kit, this could easily be a five star hotel find. Here's a list of why I will not be staying at this hotel again next year: The process of getting someone to make your bed and freshen up the room is like drilling your own teeth. They seem reluctant to want to do this for some reason? Very frustrating. Unfortunately, I left my fancy electric toothbrush behind in my bleary-eyed early morning departure. The process of getting them to send it to me took five phone calls and I finally gave up. I think the $90 to replace it is less painful than their "process" of filling out a form and faxing it back to them with my CC data on a piece of paper. I'm at Truker, ya know how difficult that process is? It's unacceptable and represents the problem in a nutshell. The Wi-Fi is way too slow, unusable most times. Uploading a 12 meg video was simply not possible after a dozen attempts. In my opinion, there is no excuse for poor Internet service at a hotel. In this day and age, you gotta have at least decent coffee right? The sad little coffee machine they have at this comfort suites slowly leaks some sort of flavorless brown liquid into miniature coffee cups and is just not even close to good enough. (that's me being nice- it's actually a big problem for me) Overall, this hotel experience is exactly why professional travelers like myself stay in the larger chains. I've been a Marriott guy for over 30 years and if Marriott had a hotel like this, they would want to fix it. This comfort suites really doesn't care to fix anything. That's why it's not a Marriott. If this were a $99 hotel I would be ok with it, but it was $149 on a group rate. Overall, if you just pass into town and you need a good night sleep, this would be a good choice. We have stayed there a few times before, and was very satisfied with the service. We reserved 2 rooms for ya and our parents. Our parents paid for their room and the hotel charged us for not only our room but my parent's room as well, when they paid for their own room. On checkout, I was charged for one room. However, when the hotel ran my card I was charged for my room and my parents. I called the hotel 4 times and explained to them the situation that they had double charged for the same room; however I was blown off. The hotel clerks informed me they would call me back but out of the 4 times I called, I was never called back once. Eventually, I called and the hotel clerk promised me that I would be reimbursed for the hotel's mistake. This was on a Saturday and I have yet to be reimbursed. In the meantime, I am overdrawn in my account since I didn't plane on the hotel taking a double payment. They did not seem to care. Please do not stay at the Comfort Suite in Troy, Ohio. This was a lesson we had to learn the hard way! read more

This was an ok hotel. On the surface, it looks good as the lobby is nice and inviting. But then when you get to your room, it is apparent that this is an aging property. Our room has some discoloring and you could see where it isn't pristinely clean. We were there for a concert so we didn't use the pool (but it was being maintained anyways). The breakfast was pretty good and had a great deal of options. I also don't like something being called a "suite" and it has a small refrigerator. The only suite like thing was a couch. So that part is misleading. This hotel served it's purpose but it didn't blow me away. read more

Very incompetent staff! Over charged us multiple times and two staff members couldnt figure out out to fix it. Left some pillows on accident and called 45 minutes after we left and was told they would absolutely hold your pillows. When we returned to pick them up we were told they had no idea where they were, claimed the house keeper never saw them. Said she didnt look herself but waited for housekeeping staff to do the job. Terrible customer service, no remorse whatsoever. Never staying at a Comfort Suites again! If I could give Zero stars I would. read more

This was our second stay at this location. We always reserve a whirlpool room. The hotel seems to be silently falling apart. Our first stay wasn't the greatest but nothing horrible. This time definitely put us off any future visits. There was mold on the ceiling and along the window. We found someone's foam ear plug on the floor by the bed. Wallpaper was peeling, mostly around the window where the mold was. Front desk clerk was decent, not overly excited with her job, but we've all been at that point. I just expected more and I'm not hard to please. Sorry Comfort Suites our business will be taken elsewhere. read more

Beautiful rooms with nice desk and large closet. Plenty of room to spread out, good lighting and a larger refrigerator with a freezer that actually freezes! This is a great location with many restaurants within short-to-medium walking distance. A great incentive to walk to and from dinnet and burn off calories. The pool and fitness room are very nice as well. I was, however, disappointed in the breakfast. Few selections, no regular oatmeal, just the instant artificial flavor packets. read more

We generally try to stay in Choice Hotels (such as Comfort Suites), but we would never return to this hotel. We were very disappointed. Our room was noisy -- even after asking and re-asking upon check-in for a quiet room. He put us right near the elevator on the 2nd floor -- plus we could hear the noise from the lobby. The heat/air didn't work well in our room. And to top it off -- when we open the blinds our window looked out at a WALL! That's right -- we essentially had no window -- almost like we were sleeping in a basement hotel room. The breakfast was the worst quality (compared to other Comfort Suites or similar hotels). The hotel is older and it is showing its' age. All this could have been overcome by good service, but that wasn't to be had. The front desk and other staff seemed to be lost in their own worlds, and we were customers just a nuisance. read more

Front desk lady did not know how to operate the credit card machine at check in. A/c never got room to the set temperature. Room smelled like smoke. Stains on carpet. Spills on tile floor. Rust in tub. No bath mat in room, had to ask for one at front desk. Not a good experience. Hope if you stay here it is better for you. read more

Very clean and modern decor. Pool was open and nice but the water was a bit cold. Fitnesses center was open and clean. Beds were comfortable. Huge room, very happy with my stay and the price. Breakfast could've been better, they ran out of milk for cereal but coffee was good. read more

Only $75 and the rooms sleep six. Two queen beds and a sofa bed. Flat screen large TV and very comfortable rooms. Free breakfast including hot food as well. A great place to stay for the price. read more

My now husband and I put a block at this hotel for our wedding over the weekend. We had issues with the hotel block. We had to make about 4 different calls--each time a new issue. We originally booked a room only for our wedding night; however, we decided to add an extra day to our booking so I would be staying close to the venue the night before the wedding. On Friday, I checked into the hotel. Saturday morning, we got ready for my wedding. And Saturday night when we got back, the key would not work. I went down to the front desk. The receptionist confirmed my name and room and then fixed the keys. I went back upstairs to the room and the keys still did not work. I was however greeted by another person who was staying in my room. I went back down to the desk and told the receptionist. We had to really push to get a room to stay in as they "weren't sure if they had any rooms." I waited in the lobby in my wedding dress for an hour until we finally got a room. The clerk was completely unapologetic. Did not try to apologize or fix the situation and was not the least bit understanding. We were supposed to receive a call from the manager that evening, but she never called. In the morning, we went down to the front desk to find the manager. When we confronted her about the issue and asked what they could do to rectify the situation, the manager told us that it was by no fault of theirs that the booking was "mixed up" and that "[she] would offer an apology if [she] had done something wrong but that's not the case so we will not be offering you an apology." At this point I was very upset and my husband called the corporate number. While quietly sitting in the corner in the dining area with our out of town family, the cops approached us due to the manager feeling "threatened." The cops stated that they had no reason to be present because we were being civil and rightfully upset about the situation. They then left. After working our way up the chain at the corporate number, we were finally informed that they cannot do anything to help us because we have an "active investigation" against us. I'm not sure about anyone else here but I just wanted to do normal wedding things on my wedding night in the room that I booked 6 months ago. I just don't understand how this had to be such an issue when it could have been so simple and easy to fix.... read more

While it's decorated decently I'm no impressed by there continental breakfast. Hot tub had hair and loose sand in it. Carpet had stains. Also we are here due to the loss of a family member there was no discount at all for it at all unlike most places. There were cracks in the tub/shower. My mother in law was told that she would have a jacuzzi in her room it's not it's a handicap room. In the stairway I smell mold. Only saving grace was the bed was comfortable. read more

I've stayed her many times and the staff here is great. Management - different story. Recently I qualified for free upgrades with Comfort. Checked in a 5:30 p.m., two cars in the parking lot, but the "block" of upgrade room was "taken". Wouldn't tell me how many rooms that is. Apparently, they don't participate in Choice Hotels upgrade, so, if you're a Choice Hotels member don't expect it. Never encountered this at any other Choice Hotel For at least two or three years they had an elevator that made a horrible, metal on metal noise, but the party line was that it was "normal" even though it clearly wasn't. Elevator inspection certificate is a Xerox with no date appearing, but the noise is gone. Hmm.... read more

Problem in our room with smoke detector going off in the wee hours of the morning. Another room in our group had a broken bed frame so some of the kids slept on the floor. (It was too late at night to go through the rigamorole of getting a different room.) Front desk unable / unwilling to discount rooms with problems. (They only offered a discount on 'next' visit.... but there will NOT be a 'next' visit.) Makes you wonder why there have not been any reviews since 2014? read more

This is an excellent hotel and I love staying here. The housekeeping staff are fantastic and the front desk staff were amazingly helpful especially Stephanie. She does great work and always makes us feel like her guests are at home. read more
