I stayed at SpringHill Suites while driving from Florida to Texas and chose Pensacola as my overnight stop. I arrived super late after dealing with a flat tire on the road so by the time I checked in, I was more than ready to call it a night. Jordan got me checked in without a hitch and if they were handing out awards for customer service, she'd deserve one. Very friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming...exactly what you hope for after a long day of driving. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only issue was poor lighting placement but after hours on the road, a hot shower was everything I needed so I wasn't tripping. I didn't hear any noise from other guests, slept well, and was even able to wake up and meditate without interruption. The surrounding area isn't the most scenic but for a road trip stop, this hotel checked all the boxes. I'd absolutely stay here again if I found myself passing through Pensacola. read more

Drove from Nashville to Pensacola to see the kids and grands. Found the SpringHill Suites had a handicapped accessible room, so we booked a 2-night stay. Molly was very helpful in finding us a discount as we booked our reservation. Upon arriving, Lindsay was at the front desk. What a gem this young lady is - I sure hope management appreciates her. I explained the grands wanted to come spend time with us and swim in the pool. She cheerfully explained where to find the pool towels, how to get to the pool area, pool hours, etc. Upon getting to our handicapped accessible room, we were very pleased at the size and cleanliness of the room (see pics). The lobby is very soothing and done in a water theme - very appropriate for the Gulf Coast. When the grands arrived, Lindsay introduced herself to them and handed them each a VIP bag containing two bottles of water, a bag of chips, a sour gummy candy packet, and a Hershey bar. The kids were thrilled and thanked Lindsay. The best part? Lindsay truly cares about people - even children. She could've stopped at greeting the children and went back to her duties. But she went the extra mile instead and made up VIP bags for them. They won't forget it, and neither will I. The rooms are well appointed and there is ample room to turn a chair around with no problem in all areas. I highly recommend SpringHill Suites. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the bed. It's too hard for me, but if you like a firm bed you will like it. read more

I drove up from Orlando to watch my son play in a basketball tournament at the college nearby. From the time I called Jack at the front desk was awesome!!! He understood I was trying to surprise my son and he made sure things went smoothly!!! Thanks Jack!! The room was nice, comfy and very clean. I was able to come right in, take a shower and lay down. The room is equipped with a mini fridge and microwave which is a plus. There's even a partition that separates the sitting area from the sleeping area. This Springhill Suites did not disappoint! My husband and I spent the night here as a pit stop on our way to Texas from Central Florida. The lady working at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has free hot breakfast in the morning and decent WiFi. Maybe we got unlucky, but our room was not that great. There were a lot of stains on the couch and bedding. It looked like the room hadn't been dusted in quite some time. The lights were dim. The sliding bathroom door was broken and the shampoo that was attached to the wall was laying in the tub. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. I couldn't get a good night's sleep as I kept tossing and turning trying to find a softer spot on the bed. I'm not sure if I would stay here again unless changes are made to the rooms. read more

After checking in, I went to room 128 and pulled the sheets back to take a nap. I noticed the sheets were very wrinkled and thin. I looked underneath and there was no mattress pad. The mattress was stained and ratty. We went to the front desk to ask for a room change. While the desk clerk and the housekeeper involved were very nice, we got moved to room 125. When we went in that room, the mattress had a pad on it so I assumed the mattress was better. It was still pretty uncomfortable but I didn't want to ask to move again. This morning, I took the sheets off the bed nd to my horror, the mattress was urine stained and dirty. I can't believe that a Marriott accepts this type of mattress quality. We stay in many Marriotts as we travel and this may be our last. I do not recommend this hotel until they make complete mattress changes. I can't believe we paid $150 to sleep on a urine mattress. (not much different from other similar Hotels) Coffee was a bit sour, better off going elsewhere for your morning fix Elevator is little slow, good thing there's only 4 floors Fitness center is small, think I saw 3 or 4 treadmills, a bench and free weights No safe box in rooms Strange outside entrance to the pool (no walkway) As you can see, pros clearly outweigh the cons. Not the biggest Hotel, only four floors, pool is average, lobby is typical for this style of Hotel. Loved the size of the bedrooms, the bathroom and closet also offer plenty of room. Check-in: As I arrived, Emily checked me in within five minutes and no hassle. Love this face. I asked Emily about the onsite amenities such as the gym and pool. Emily stated the gym is under appointment only due to COVID concerns, and pool is open until 10:00PM. I appreciate the heads up on the gym because I enjoy getting a workout first thing in the morning without interruption or safety concerns. I also asked about breakfast during my stay. The answer is grab and go or contactless. As I settled into my room, I couldn't help but realize the cleanliness of the entire room. I had a great view of the parking lot and on a high floor. If you aren't a Marriott Bonvoy Reward Member, I encourage you to download the app and enjoy the benefits. By becoming a reward member, you can get benefits like behind the scene events or even room upgrades (based on hotel availability). Don't take my word for it, check out Marriot Bonvoy. The room had a walk in shower and plenty of space to place your toiletries. My laptop goes everywhere with me, therefore the open and small desk next to the king size bed made all the difference to me. My room also had a small couch to sit back and relax while on vacation or getting some work done. If you're big on location, the hotel is located near North Davis Highway with BJ's Wholesale and University of Town Plaza (JCPenny, Burlington, Famous Footwear...etc) within five minutes. Shopaholics will love this hotel. Checkout: My checkout process took less than five minutes and this makes the overall stay process much easier. You don't even have to hand the keys back to hotel staff. A container is placed within reach where you drop your keys and voila you're done! Go enjoy the Emerald Coast of the Florida Handle. Everything at this hotel was great. We stayed four days. The hotel is so clean and looks like a brand new hotel. The rooms are nice with a bedroom and a living room area. The staff was always friendly and ready to help. you get free breakfast in the mornin. There are not restaurants in the hotel itself but there are so many restaurants to choose from, you will not go hungry. The pools were nice. The view from our room overlooked the pools and beach, it was great. I want to give a big shout out to Dana the bartender, she was very personable and friendly. We loved Dana. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We will be coming back to this hotel again and again. read more

The staff at the front desk was nice but bathroom within the room really needed a little TLC. We were told the hotel was fully booked so we didn't have the option to move rooms. Housekeeping came to clean but she stated they possibly needed bleach to remove the stains because the spray she used did not work. She didn't return. read more

Let me start by saying that Vance (front desk) was very outgoing and earned one of the stars. The second is for the room which was nice, clean and spacious. The lack of stars comes from management. A air cleaning company was allowed to enter our room, leave it unmanned, wide open and unlocked for 15 minutes, leave a chemical odor that evaporates "in about 15 minutes" (I have a 5 month old) and management never reaching out after the complaint. Vance was apologetic about it all but nothing was done, offered or mentioned..highly disappointed. read more

Do not stay here. No soundproofing whatsoever. I can hear every person in this hotel speaking and it's horrible. If you wish to sleep while you stay in Pensacola, I suggest not staying here. It also is not the cleanest. The couches have stains and there's dirt lining the floors of the bathroom. read more

For $300 a night we had a room that smelled like wet dog, very stained up carpet, hairs on our sheets and beds that felt like plywood. The only positive was a nice clean bathroom. Will never stay here again. We had to put scented sanitizing wipes over our AC unit to try and cover the odor. read more

Honestly the best customer service you will find. The greatest staff, people remembered my name, and so nice. It's not super close to the beach but you will easily save a couple of hundred dollars a night. Plus if you're a Marriott member you can get Marriott points or Pay with our room with points. This was our first stop over on our trip and we found the room to be very nice. Easy to find off Interstate 10 and a good variety of places to eat after a long day. Room was clean and even though it was locating next to the outdoor pool there was no noise or disturbances from the pool. Nice hotel but the design is very weird for an airport hotel. Since my flight was early and my traveling companions flights were later, I had to be up very early. Hard not to wake everyone when there is a clear panel on the bathroom door and you can turn on one light without illuminating the entire room. Would be great if everyone is traveling together or if you are traveling solo. read more

I stayed here for 6 weeks so I think I got a pretty good impression of the hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and professional. Probably one of the best value hotels off the beach in terms of quality. Hotel facilities feel new, however the sound insulation for rooms could be better. Rooms are not the largest I've stayed in, but more than sufficient. Gym has two treadmills, a gliding machine, and some free weights. Ample sized pool, there's always at least a few beach chairs open even during their busiest weekends. Cleaning staff comes and goes, but they seemed friendly and thorough. I have no complaints regarding the cleanliness of my room. Breakfast is usually a good spread. Oatmeal, bagels, various pastries, sausage, eggs, milk and juice. Menu rotates between days for some added variety. On busy weekends during the summer, ask the front desk about 3rd party shuttle services to the beach. Parking at the beach can fill up quickly and you can usually save some cash taking a shuttle over getting a cab. read more

Excellent breakfast along with super service, especially from the night staff (Here's looking at you Joanne!) We stayed here the day on Christmas eve and then again 5 days later, both times every aspect of the stay was wonderful. The gym is open 24 hours and the constant availability of hot tea and coffee is a nice bonus. Rooms are modern and functional, with decent size bathrooms. The location is great for shopping and jumping on and off I-10. Absolutey nothing to complain about. read more

We visit the Pensacola area quite a lot and this is one of our frequent places to stay. On a recent visit I was disappointed. We stayed in Room 403. The room was spacious and very modern. However the attention to detail was missing. Of even greater concern is the perception that excellence is not a part of the corporate culture in this location. The Marriott brand represents excellence and that's why I choose to be a Marriott Reward member. So when I saw a 3-inch strip of black mold on the ceiling, in the corner of the room above the sofa, on the beautiful white ceiling, I was perplexed. It was clear to me that the water spot and the black mold were not fresh. My concern was how many people had observed this spot (which can't be missed on a white ceiling) and failed to address it (like housekeeping, maintenance, housekeeping manager). I did report the issue to management and was advised that someone from maintenance would come up to take a look at it. In all fairness, we checked in on Sunday night and I didn't notice it until about 3am after completing a homework assignment. We were out early the next morning (before the fire alarm testing) and didn't return until Monday evening, when I remembered to let Management know about it. I'm certain we would have been moved to another room had we requested it. My concern is that the quality expectations from the Marriott brand were diminished by the presence of this eyesore in the room. read more

The hotel is pleasant and clean. The rooms also clean, large and modern. The staff were pleasant. The pool is small and popular. My "mistake" was misunderstanding how many kid families would be here. The breakfast was mostly good - scrambled eggs, sausage and some other items. The juice was bad. The crowd to the buffet resembled the opening scene of Private Ryan - it was a cluster cuss - so get there early or bring your patience. read more

Utilized this hotel for its meeting room. Organizing and set up of the room was a breeze. Meeting room was clean and affordable. I stayed for two nights on the 4th floor. The room set up and design was effective. Microwave, refrigerator and room was clean with the following exceptions; iron and ironing board needed replaced and TV remote appeared to have been thrown up on. Wrongfully accused of smoking in the room and charged a $250 smoke-free environment fee. I have a chargeback in progress so after I win that I will post the entire account. In the meantime,be wary of the "friendly" staff. *******UPDATE 2 months later!!!******** My $250 fee WAS refunded but only after my credit card went to bat for me. I would like to add what happened during the dispute process so you understand what you're getting into: When my credit card called the hotel, the representative (manager) REFUSED to speak to me on the three way call...a three way call is standard protocol with disputes such as this. Also, during our initial discussion concerning the dispute, I was nothing but courteous to the hotel manager...no need to avoid me at all. I'm guessing thats the behavior of someone who knows they are wrong. Then, the hotel manager changed the story from "smelling smoke" to "smoke billowing out from under the door". Even the credit card representative laughed. I will add two more interesting things that happened during the couple of days this drama occurred: 1.) My girlfriend is asthmatic so neither of us would dream of smoking anything in any room. 2.) The manager admitted that the circulation system in the hotel is closed meaning that smells can drift from room to room, floor to floor. I asked her "So you're saying the smell your staff noticed could have been coming from anywhere?" She was quiet for a moment and then said "We are still charging you the fee". I challenge the hotel to dispute anything I said. i added a star to my original 1 star review because the hotel was beautiful and well maintained. read more

Had a great visit to Pensacola with my family !! The staff here are friendly , the hotel is nice and clean . The complimentary breakfast every morning is definitely a plus ! The only gripe I had was on our last day no one came in to change the sheets , clean the room , or give us fresh towels after being gone to the beach all day . Or else this would have been an easy 5 star ! I would definitely come back here again and would recommend this to someone else coming here to visit !! read more
