I had a very nice time here last weekend. It was my first visit. I stayed two nights. There is free guest self parking and a valet parking option. The staff were all helpful and friendly. There was someone playing live music at certain times of the day. The room was clean and had a simple but nice setup. The shower had great water temperature and pressure. We had an ocean view room which was worth the extra cost. Waking up to the beach every morning was so satisfying. Reading on the balcony while listening to the ocean sounds and watching the waves was everything that I needed. The hotel has beach towels that are easily checked out through a machine. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available first come first serve to hotel guests which is very convenient. There was a heated outdoor pool, a volleyball net and a few games inside. We ate all of our meals at the hotel. We ate at the grab and go food spot. I ordered the feta and spinach croissant, a chocolate chip scone and a cappuccino. We also ate dinner at the latitude 30. I ordered a ceasar salad and calamari. For breakfast at latitude 30, I ordered the French toast dish that comes bacon and I ordered a side of eggs. We also ate at the fine dining restaurant onsite where I ordered the seared scallops dish and the vanilla crème brûlée. All of the meals that we ate at the hotel were very tasty. The restaurant staff were all kind and the utensils were spotless. I believe food may have also been served at the bar near the pool, but I didn't try any food from there during my visit. I really had an enjoyable time at this hotel and I plan to return in the future. read more

Beautiful resort! Clean and well kept. Rooms were nice! We had adjoining rooms traveling as a family of four and that was a great option. Wonderful view from the room. Pool was nice. Live music every day by the pool was awesome! And talented performers! The beach itself is right behind the resort and has the softest sand. Wanted was rough but we were still able to get in a slash around and jump some waves. The property was recently purchased by new owners after being owned by sand owner who opened it in 1987, which is impressive. Mervin in the restaurant was kind and friendly and been there 12 years. Glinda in the restaurant was the SWEETEST lady there. She maker the omelettes. (Get the omelettes!! Yum!) John and Greg are great pool side bar tenders. The gentleman at the lobby bar was also friendly and attentive, we didn't catch his name. The list of things we wished were different is short. Could have used speakers playing music during the times at the pool when there wasn't live music. Wait times in the restaurant were long. (Food was hit or miss...not horrible but mostly unremarkable... However the spinach dip at the casual restaurant is off the charts and the wagyu steak at Voyagers is incredible!!) We cannot say enough about the marvelous staff. We will definitely be back! We wish them luck in this transition. read more

I attended a retreat here for the weekend and enjoyed my time! We had our meals as buffet style, which was nice and the food was pretty good with lots of options for each meal. The hotel is connected to a private beach but also has a pool and hot tub for you to enjoy. My favorite aspect is that they offer free beach towels for you to use, so its nice to grab one on the way to the beach and drop it off on your way back, that way sand doesnt track everywhere in the room. The doors on the rooms are a but iffy, you have to forcefully pull/push the door to close it, otherwise your room is left unlocked. read more

Very nice resort. Great parking (self or valet). The lounge drinks were not super great. I had probably the worst espresso martini and banana old fashioned. Rooms were very clean. House keeping did a great job! I would love to have an outdoor hot tub. There were 2 inside which I thought was odd. Gym had good options for working out. This resort has everything you need and you'd never really have to leave if you didn't want to. There is a coffee shop, pizza and ice cream place, gift shop, drinking lounge, burger and fry place called Latitudes and nice sit down restaurant called Voyagers. We went to voyagers on our last night and it was FABULOUS! Highly recommend and will do separate review for them! Would highly recommend staying here! Price for the resort was very fair! read more

This is the second time we have stayed at the Perdido Beach Resort. It recently has been acquired by Marriot Bonvoy so there were a few changes from our first trip but nothing that disappointed us. Perdido Beach Resort please fix this problem!!! We have always loved going to this Hotel, for 16+ years, but on our last visit we were disappointed. The hot tubs are gone, sadly. But the most annoying thing was the smokers at the beach, they were smoking in the beach chairs owned by the hotel! We had to move from more than one smoker. Several people were moving away from the smokers also annoyed. The beach attendants were very understanding and helpful as we kept moving. It's simply rude to smoke around people and children. read more

This was a first time for us to visit this area and we are used to staying in Ritz Carltons or similar 5 star luxury resorts. After much research, I found those types of resorts do not exist in this area. However, the good news is, Perdido Beach Resort is very nice and would earn a 4 star in my opinion. The staff is really what takes it to four stars. The welcoming front desk attendants, the valet, housekeeping, etc. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. And our dinner experience at Voyagers was amazing from start to finish. I will give a review on that separately but five plus stars there. The hotel has several different towers and we were in the West Tower. It was very convenient to all the main areas. The food venue options are a bit different and the timing of each seems off but there are on site options but no room service. That was our major disappointment is the availability of food at different hours. And no room service. I would stay here again if in the area but they need to improve on the food options. I fell in love with this place after my bestie and I stayed here during our Spring Break in March 2024 (we're teachers, not college students, lol). I'm going to make this a yearly tradition! On my 2nd trip here in July 2024, I finally decided to leave this review. The customer service here is stellar, think on the level of Chick-Fil-A and Publix. The grounds are immaculate and beachfront, which is great because technically, you really don't even have to leave for anything. It's a resort! There are a few restaurants such as the pizza place that's really tasty and fairly priced (The ice cream there is great too!) and Latitude 30 for breakfast (try Ms. Glinda's omelette bar and thank me later). I didn't get to try Voyagers when we stayed (fine dining) but many stated it is very good. The little coffee shop is ok but kinda pricey, but it's a resort so that can be expected. All of your rentals can be done on site downstairs. Valet is free, but tips are appreciated and accepted. Towels for the pool and beach are free but must be returned or your room will be charged $25 per towel. I usually opt for an angle view room which saves money and I haven't had a bad view yet. I can view both the beach and the pass, which is the best of both worlds. I would like a gulf view but I'm wondering if it will be too hot in the summer since there isn't the shade as it is with an angle view. Anyway, check out my pics. I love this place for its location, customer service and value. For what you get overall, it's really a very decent price. read more

Shell at the front desk was so beyond helpful and kind. She is fantastic and was so sweet to my little boy. Rodney with valet went above and beyond as well. And of course, Kenny in engineering - I get nervous staying away from home and he eased my fears and you could tell he believes in the resort wholeheartedly. The kindness from them especially, was unmatched by anywhere I've ever stayed. The rooms were so incredibly clean, the beaches were beautiful. Everything was pristine. Pool deck was excellent, with poolside service, restaurant and bar. There were several big groups there but the place never felt crowded. The pizza restaurant was also very good. We were very pleased with our choice for this resort. The room was large (king size/partial beach view); nice shower walk in; room cleaned upon request, but the amenities were a bonus! We are just wrapping up an eight-night stay at Perdido Beach Resort and are sad to see it coming to an end. This is the second time that I've stayed here and have really enjoyed it. The location is stellar with beach views and with the recent renovations, the rooms are spacious and modern. The property offers a great variety of meal options from super casual food that is perfect poolside to award-winning high-end cuisine. The onsite workout facility is really nice, for a hotel. It could use some free weights, but offers nice machines, cardio equipment, and even a few Peloton bikes. The pool is big and even when it's busy, it doesn't feel overly crowded. My only complaint about the resort is the smoking situation. They have the designated smoking section right next to the pool and restaurant. I hated taking my baby out to the pool each and every time because there is no other way out there than to walk out past people smoking. I don't understand why it's not a smoking-free resort but am completely baffled by the smoking area location. read more

One here one night but wish it had been longer. Booked an oceanfront King which had a nice view, comfortable bed, small fridge, great shower and a balcony (the balconies are deceiving small). The pool isn't heated so didn't take advantage of that but the direct beach access is wonderful. The stretch of beach is amazing, long wide open white sand beach, enjoyed going for a walk. The on-site gym could rival most commercial gyms it offers everything you need with top-notch equipment. The pool bar was great many TVs which would be a great place to watch sports and Brooke was so nice, really enjoyed chatting with her. The on-site store by the lobby is great it sells beer,wine, food, coffee, baked goods etc. they have 4-5 onsite restaurants. We ate dinner at the fancier option which was nice although the food didn't wow either of us (the need to add a vegetarian entree) and our waiter was a bit brash. The next morning I got a veggie breakfast burrito(to go) from the more casual dining option off the lobby and it was awesome. The staff at the desk were all very nice. It's really rare that I give out a 5 star rating to a resort (a B&B maybe not...but a resort no way) but Perdido Beach did a stand up job hosting our stay. The check-in was easy and painless, the room was spotless, the amenities were all up to par and the staff were all very professional. Not to mention that you have direct beach access and a large pool area and two hot tubs. My first time on the gulf coast was amazing due to this pristine hotel. Our room had a bay view with a small patio and chairs and we loved just sitting out in the balmy weather and watching the boats go by. The hotel has multiple spots to eat, including an outdoor bar area by the pool and a pizza spot also within feet of the pool. The first floor sports store checks out towels to you each day and at the end of the day you bring them back. If you are feeling the beach more then they have staff who will check out beach recliners and beach umbrellas to you and you can charge it to your room or pay them in cash. They even adjust your umbrella for you and they'll come around and put them all down in the case of a storm. I was worried that we had arrived too late to the beach to get the beach recliners but even on a Saturday after the 4th of July holiday they still had spots to spare since they have sooooo many of these. The location, the amenities and the service/staff all are tops. We even spotted a few weddings take place here as they have multiple event rooms and an outdoor ceremony area too. I'd love to return if I ever get the opportunity. read more

Rooms and resort have been updated. Nice. The service is lacking. It was 100 degrees when I checked in with bags for a conference. I was told by valet that the valet lot is full and I could self park ( a mile away) and no offers of help with the luggage. Valet staff then proceeded to stand around chatting bc the lot was full and nothing to do but wait for people to leave? I schlepped my bags and materials across lot in high heels and a suit. I would have tipped handsomely!! I wish the resort would charge for valet and let customers choose if they would like this option vs complimentary valet that fills up and no help is offered to other guests?? How is this a thing? I do own a condo close by...And yes I should have stayed there...but wanted to be at conference location... I just know now that I will never recommend this hotel to out of town guests. read more

GOOD: The grounds are very nice, great pool area. Very convenient to have on-site restaurants and bar. Wonderful beach area and okay (not great) view from our room. Common areas were kept very clean. Under normal conditions, we believe it is a better place to stay. Clearly, the location and on-site amenities are what qualify the place as a "resort" - it's definitely *not* the rooms. Our dinner at Voyagers was EXCELLENT - highlight of the property. Breakfast at Latitude 30 was okay. Brooke, bartender at the poolside bar, was very friendly and accommodating. BAD: These folks opened up before they were ready, a reflection of poor management. There was still a lot of renovation going on inside and outside the buildings. We were in a room that had just been "completed" on a floor in the West tower with hardly any other guests, which would have been nice *except* that it became clear they were renting rooms as soon as the basic furniture was in, which evidently doesn't include a refrigerator microwave. The rooms are quite small, maybe average compared to a standard hotel/motel room. We have traveled a lot and this is one of the least impressive rooms we have ever been in, which is a shame for a "resort." There was still construction dust on things, the craftsmanship was sloppy - looks like it had been done in a rush with gaps between counters and wall, paint smears on the floor, etc. As there was no refrigerator (we brought a good amount of food to eat in the room), we had to improvise and use the sink and our travel cooler! When went downstairs to see if we could get a refrigerator,, we were told the shipments had gone to the West Coast by mistake. We got a coupon for 2 free drinks as compensation. The water in the room tasted strongly of chemicals and the water cooler in the gym was not functioning, so we had to keep going to the front desk for bottled water. We felt very strongly that they should have been up-front about the short-comings so we could decide whether or not we wanted to stay in a 'resort' and pay resort prices when the basic amenities were lacking. There was no cream or sugar in the room for coffee- they gave us some packs that wouldn't have passed for 'basic' at a fast food restaurant. The desk staff was okay, but didn't seem especially happy to be there. One in particular seemed very passive aggressive. The resort didn't offer a discount for the off season room despite the lack of amenities and didn't inform travelers ahead of them that refrigerators and microwaves were unavailable in many rooms. Restaurants were open during what we can only assume are limited hours (we were there in mid-May, before the big summer rush). We certainly understand that businesses on the Gulf are struggling financially due to the hurricanes and the pandemic but this kind of operation won't help. Unfortunately, this was a first impression for us at this property with a hope this would be our go-to location for family trips. We are going back at the end of June/beginning of July and hope to have a much better experience but we are not optimistic. read more

We had an amazing stay for an entire week. We were in room 3011 which had an amazing view of the pool area and the beach. We loved all the different restaurant options available. Latitude 30 was a must for breakfast with the kids. $5 will get you 2 pancakes and 3 strips of bacon or 2 big waffle and 3 strips of bacon. The shrimp and grits was $16 but it was phenomenal. We had dinner at voyagers one night and it was really good. The resort staff was very friendly. We used the ballet service and enjoyed the link you can use from your phone to have the car brought to the front. Very fast service. The pool area was a dream complete with a bar and the splash grille for any by the pool eats. Overall I loved the resort and all the amenities, restaurants and bars. If I had to complain I would complain the bars seem to close early regardless of the events booked. If you have patrons in the pool bar area after 6 (which is when the pool bar closes during the week) I would think keep selling drinks or stay open late if you have a large conference booked that week. Thai was not a big deal but other patrons were annoyed. Still a great family vacation at the pool and beach. It's a must stay. read more

The woman working the front desk very late at night was extremely rude to my friend and I. She wore glasses and had a limp in her walk. We came down to get some cold cut sandwiches and when asking for them she laughed in our faces. Gave us terrible attitude, she made it seem impossible to walk 5 feet to let us into the cafe where the sandwiches are. Told us she couldn't open the cafe before even attempting to open it . We assisted her in opening it. We were visiting a friend but she said to us "y'all work here right?" We do not. Which it was extremely rude for her to just assume we were employees. If this is how she treats every guest (or just guest of a certain demographic I'm sure), she needs to have a sit down and reassess how you treat guest and paying customers. I have never had worse treatment from a hotel staff. She repeatedly laughed in our faces when we asked her simple questions . Decent hotel with a nice pool and good beds. The ladies at the front desk were nice too. Otherwise, it is definitely overpriced. The sinks would not drain. They sent someone up to fix it; he couldn't fix it and left the bathroom kind of messy. He left the bathroom sink drain stopper on the vanity (kind of gross). The remote for the TV didn't work initially, but they did replace it very quickly. The thing is, for $430 a night, none of those issues should even come up. Also, there is only one microwave on the whole floor at the end of the hall, no microwaves in the room. The location is good, and I thought the facility was clean. The hallways were a little creepy to me at first. All the walls are bleach white with identical grey doors a la mental hospital. Should you stay here? If you can stay here for $150 a night or less, I would say go for it. Otherwise, just stay at a budget hotel and spend all of your time on the beach. read more

It was too expensive and noisy. They put my family in a room that was like a gymnasium. The room was expensive and not worth it. The room was set up for conferences, not for family vacation. You should like music if you decide to stay here. All kinds of music - loud, at all hours, indoor and out! They have live performances in the lobby, which you can hear in the lobby where people dance, but also downstairs, and in the restaurants off the lobby. When there isn't live music, they've got a mixture of 80s, 90s, and current soft rock playing everywhere else! Beside your room, there is literally no quiet space inside the hotel. The on-site restaurants are really good, but they kicked us out of the restaurant bar at 2:00 pm on a Saturday - in the middle of our football game watching to close for 2 hours. The place was dead besides us! Had to go downstairs to the indoor/outdoor bar in the 60's temperatures. Stupid. I would not stay here again read more

I was not going to write this review because the manager seemed to be very thorough about addressing my concern with Miss Joanna a rude hostess on site where I was told it was the breakfast area and not being told beforehand by the restaurant or the hotel that I would be charged for the breakfast. However their word was not honored when they said the type of discount they would provide. When I asked the manager what type of discount would be given if I drove out of my way 15 minutes there 15 minutes back so that they can do this because they said that my physical card needed to be there in order to be refunded a discount instead of just simply sending a check in the mail so that I am not further inconvenienced. I was told 50% for a full refund would be the easiest. However when I got there I waited for maybe 10 or 15 minutes also receive a discount of $2.99 from a $16 bill. The rudeness and the amount of time it took to correct issues that should not have even occurred is way more upsetting than the actual money I lost especially when a couple of spoonful of bites cost me over an hour of my time when I add up the time I waited in the morning for them to originally contact the manager, having to have deal with this on the site where I was meeting a client, driving to and from there, to wait again even though I called and told them when I was five minutes away, plus the $13! I'd rather pay more in the beginning than to be lied to treated rudely have my entire morning and evening sacrificed and surprised with hidden fees! read more

I have been coming here for years off and on and have always liked it. The food and drinks within the resort are very reasonably priced. I love the pizza parlor downstairs bc you can grab a pizza to take to the beach and the kids loved it. Also has an ice cream parlor that kids loved as well. Pools are nice and resort is clean. The restaurant has a great breakfast buffet and kids eat free. We loved that! The reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they really need to work on the wifi reception ...it was bad throughout the resort.
