Called sprinkler logic Tuesday afternoon to schedule for a 4pm appointment the following day(4/25/18). I have to leave work early so that I could meet the technician that will give me an estimate for the project I wanted. It was 4:05 and no technician showed up so I called the office and asked if the technician was on his way and the receptionist who took my information on that Tuesday said that I wasn't on the schedule and wasn't booked for Wednesday. Really? She took my information and confirmed for a Wednesday appointment...I don't think it's not that hard to book an appointment in my own opinion. She offered a Saturday appointment between 10-12. We'll see hopefully it won't happen again.. Update: so it's Saturday 4/28 and I waited patiently for someone to come. I called the office and they said it will be a little late like after 12 noon. I said ok just let me know when the technician will show up. 12:40 pm. I called again asking when the technician will come and the receptionist said I am next on the appointment list it will be just another hour for someone to come. What?!?! This is totally unacceptable! If you schedule a time between 10am and 12 noon somebody should show up between that time not an hour and40 minutes after or even longer than that. Called for some repairs on our sprinkler system. Was surprised they had an appointment for a Sunday 1-4. Of course waited around until about 3 and went to work in the yard. Came in to a voicemail so I called them back and they canceled our appointment because we didn't answer. Will go with a different company who values our time and business. read more

I had some issues with my automatic sprinkler system. Had one guy totally make the situation worse and another guy just made me mad. One zone wasn't working and I knew it was an electrical issue. I had wires hanging from the side of my house. Had my neighbor who does sprinklers tell me it wasn't an electrical issue and wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to replace my perfectly good timer. I googled sprinkler repair and only two came up. Sprinkler Logic and another company. I called Sprinkler Logic and the person who answered the phone listened to my complete concern and scheduled a Saturday appointment, which fit my schedule perfectly. I called the other company just to way my options and the woman began to bad mouth Sprinkler Logic. So I felt good with my choice. A young man named Austin who was very nice, courteous and understanding, showed up on Saturday, on his truck it said Service Now, I assume they contract out maybe. Anyhow Austin fixed my problem, listened to my concerns, changed the timer(we both decided it was probably time lol) enclosed the new wire in PVC pipe, so it wouldn't get damaged if digging needs to be done. And cleaned up the old horrific eyesore that was the 30 year old existing wire. My sprinklers work awesome now and I have a new timer in a great location in my back yard. The price they charged was so great and reasonable. Austin even adjusted some of the sprinklers for me. He went above and beyond. I will definitely use them again. read more

About two years ago, I contracted Sprinkler Logic to install a Rain Bird system in my front and back yards. As I recall, James came on time, had the system lined up, programmed and finished in half a day. Woodland started using river water shortly after installation and rerouted the city's flow. This kicked up some particles in their line which got caught in the front sprinkler valves, causing them to leak slightly. No problem - James came out, fixed the problem promptly. Recently, this issue happened again to my back valves this time and Brian came out, fixed the problem promptly and showed me a few easy procedures in case it happened again. I recommend this company. The only complaint I have is that no manuals or documentation came with the sprinklers or valves, in case I wanted to adjust them. I just got kind of a rapid fire verbal explanation of how they worked. How much trouble would it be to go on their websites and print out some customer copies, Jimmy? read more

Spring came this year and our sprinklers were getting zero water. It just so happens that sprinkler companies are busy in the spring--go figure--and so we were having a really tough time just getting an irrigation company to be responsive to us and even just get us a quote, much less commit to fixing it in a timely fashion. May not help that we're in El Dorado Hills--there seem to be fewer irrigation companies out here and a lot of the ones closer to Roseville or Sac don't always want to make the drive out. Finally, we came across Sprinkler Logic, called them, and they immediately scheduled an appointment for a gentleman named Nick to come out 1.5 days later. While here, Nick was able to quickly diagnose the problem, run out and buy some parts, come back and fix the problem, and also gave us some helpful tips on how to maximize value from our sprinkler system. (For the record the problem was our pressure vacuum breaker was old and shot.) Nick was awesome, he explained everything very thoroughly but in layman's terms, and was super-friendly and pleasant to talk with. The price seemed average/reasonable from what we expected it to be, although we don't have a basis for comparison. We're putting in a pool and unexpectedly and at the last minute, we were told we needed drains put in before they filled up the trenches. This happened the Thursday before the 4th of July. Quickly we called three companies to get estimates. Sprinkler Logic was the most expensive - not gonna lie - but they were the most thorough and conscientious out of the three companies. They went over and beyond what anybody else did to search for where our drains were flowing to - which could've caused problems later on if this hadn't been done! Owner Jimmy Chillquist was great to talk to - he gave us a lot advice. But JAMES! Wow, considerate, professional, polite - he was great to work with. He even had his crew clean up after the pool guys! He explained everything to me, answered my hundreds of questions, came out two more times to look at things I still needed to have done that my darn pool builder wouldn't do ... We had some good conversations on landscaping too. He's a cool dude and I'm glad he was the one in charge of my project. I would recommend these guys any day! Had them come out and do a new system at my mom's house. They did good work. Requested another trip out, few months later, to look at one sprinkler-head. The gentleman was polite, and he gave me a couple heads to replace the bad one. I have since called them for some follow up, as I hav a few questions. They are not picking up. Looks like they are out of business. If I have problems on the new system that they installed last September, I may have to resort to legal action to get them to respond. The charge to come out is $125. That is a little steep. Shop elsewhere for better pricing before you commit to Sprinkler Logic. read more

Great experience with Sprinkler Logic. Jimmy returned initial call quickly, and came out on schedule to estimate my major sprinkler overhaul (neglected for several years). Quote was a bit higher than expected, and I suspect that I could have gotten it done cheaper, but they were ready to start right away while others I called were too back-logged. Nick was out the next day and was right to work. He was extremely diligent and worked long and hard through the heat to get the job done. With 1/2 acre of neglected systems, the job turned out to take a bit longer than expected. He was extremely pleasant to work with, and was very focused on doing things right. Austin arrived as scheduled and immediately assessed the problem with the sprinkler system. He crawled around in the mess that is our crawl space, found the problem, went and got parts to repair a cut wire under the house (apparently done during our recent renovation) and after 2 hours, the system worked like new. UPDATE ; I called the office in response to the business response I received here and the gentleman who addressed the issue, Doug, agreed with me that I was overcharged and agreed to refund almost 40% of the amount that I was initially charged. As such, I will increase the rating from 1/5 stars to 3/5 stars. I am happy that they tried to rectify the situation but they definitely need to talk to their technicians so that those don't overcharge people and leave their customers with a bitter aftertaste like the one I had. read more

My Sprinkler Logic tech arrived just a couple of hours after we called him. The tech discovered the source of my problem within minutes after arrival and went right to work making the repair, even though the broken pipe was located in a very tight area. He was also able to make the repair without disturbing the landscaping. This is a new house to us, and I was unsure about the overall condition of the sprinkler system. He checked out the controls and all of the sprinkler heads, correcting problems and suggesting future changes that would improve the operation of the system. The tech knew his stuff! When I was called after requesting a quote on Angie's List, I specifically asked if there was a minimum fee for the work to be done or if there was a minimum hourly fee for work to be done. I was told there was not and the fee was determined by the job. When the technician came out he was friendly and courteous, took one look at my timer, said he would adjust it correctly and within five minutes had done so. When I asked what the charge was he said they charge a MINIMUM hourly fee of $125.00 I paid with a check and when I called the company I got an apology and a $25 refund with a "that's the best we can do" Do not use these folks or if you do then do not believe a word they say, get everything in writing before you have any work done. The owner (Jimmy Chillquist) came to our house the day after we called. He spent a good amount of time enjoying the property. He gave me a quote that I accepted for replacing two station control valves and said a technician would be out the next day. Meanwhile, my entire system had to be shut-off and the grass was taking a beating from the heat. After two days of them not showing up, I took a shovel, dug out the valves and replaced them myself. Otherwise, I could have been waiting a couple more days to start the process all over with a new service firm and my lawn would have been dying. Great company! They quickly arranged an on-site meeting on my Dad's property in the foothills to assess the large property's sprinkler issues and gave us a quote. They arrived a few days later and did what they said they were going to do. The staff was easy to deal with and got so many things working above and beyond. I can't say enough great things about this company. This is now my Dad's "go to" company for sprinkler issues and any plumbing needs that we have. *******Scammers and Frauds*********** Just my humble opinion. Asked them to complete several tasks including fix a leak in the front and replace my controller with a better and more intuitive one. They quoted me $300 for the replacement of the controller as well as additional for the other tasks. The leak was never fixed and the controller they said was an improvement and would be more intuitive turned out to be a $40 (according to my landscaper) piece of junk. It is less intuitive and in fact difficult to use. I cannot believe these people are still in business. read more

I'm very disappointed with this company. On two separate occasions my husband and I re-arranged our work schedules to be available for the 1PM-5PM window frame. The first time I called ahead to confirm a technician would be coming. However, after being told someone would call us one hour prior to arrival I received no phone call and the technician was a no show. I decided to give them another chance and booked a second day with the same time window but I again received no call/no show after waiting the entire afternoon! I am appalled at their lack of respect for others time and work schedules. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I have a very old sprinkler system that had not worked in over a year, and my yard was the worst looking one on the street!! I called Sprinkler Logic and they were able to get a technician out in less than hour. They did a thorough diagnosis of my system and recommended replacing my valves. I suspected many heads would need replacing too since they were so old, but once the new valves were in place they all popped right up. They also installed some new drip line in some planter areas that I had been watering by hand, and replaced my antiquated timer with a new, more efficient one. The technician was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and the price was more than fair for what was done. I've waited to write this review in order to allow generous time for the Sprinkler Logic to fix the problem. Original Service- March 25, 2018. James came and assessed our needs for drip line repairs, automatic sprinkler head fixes, and drip line extensions for the veggie garden. He worked hard for many hours and completed all the fixes. His work ethic and communication was helpful and appreciated. James explained the warranty (our job had a 1yr warranty for the work) and to not hesitate if the work needs to be fixed again. Follow Up- Simple problems arose in June. Two patches on our drip line came loose and were leaking. Two sprinkler heads needed additional help- one does not output water and one is continually leaking and wet. Follow up was scheduled for June 28th. June 28th- No show. Called the office. They forgot to inform me that the appointment was rescheduled for June 29th from 1-5, and they would call when the technician is on their way to our house. June 29th- No Call. A different technician (not James) showed up around 11:30am. I walked around the property with him and pointed out the fixes that are covered under the warranty and showed him the sprinkler valves location. He tinkered with the valves walked around the property and then left about 20 minutes later. The office called around 2pm saying the technician didn't have the necessary parts and needed to reschedule until the following Friday, July 6th, 2018. June 30th- Woke up to a completely soaked patio next to the valves. We have never has water gushed all over the patio before. I called the office and left a weekend message saying we needed someone asap to fix the valves as we were wasting lots and lots of water. We turned off the water to wait. No return call. Nothing. Backyard is now not getting any water- grass, trees, plants, garden. July 2nd- I call mid-morning on July 2nd to follow up with my message. They say there is nothing they can do ... 'its a very busy time of year'. They mentioned they would speak with their manager and get back to me.... never heard from them again. July 6th- I was admitted to the hospital and had to unfortunately cancel. Frustrated that they didn't every prioritize our situation and send over a technician to get the job done. By this point the grass is now dry and the trees are looking shabby. They needed to get the valve back to the original condition so we could water our yard! The June 29th technician left our property in a worse state and the office was zero help. Soonest appointment available was July 12th. July 12th- Appointment made for 1-5 time slot. They didn't show AGAIN! Now the grass is crispy, trees are looking really bad, and having to hand water my garden with a new system sitting there dry. Valve still not fixed. ----I called the office around 3:30 asked if I had somehow missed the technician and when would they come?--- They were 'sorry' and the technicians could not make it today they were on a job that went long. Rescheduled for July 15. I expected more from a highly rated company. They now have made compounding problems in my yard that need to be fixed immediately. My sod looked great before the second tech touched our property. The company has our money from the original March appointment so it is obvious they don't put any effort to stick behind the great work James did. They need to fix the problems that were under our warranty AND now they need to fix the problems they made. Consumer beware. read more

Then they call me at 4:00 pm to tell me they can't make it! We contacted this company and a rep came out and gave us an estimate which was agreed to and received a call from office saying they would do the work on the following Wed morning starting at 8:00am..No show, made several calls, no answer and no call backs. Drove by the business address wondering if they had some kind of problem, but all was good. Did not stop. Made a couple more calls in the days that followed still with no response. Have never heard back from them and I'm sure never will. Don't waste your time on this company as they have no integrity or basic common courtesy. Very responsive and competent I had a very badly leaking drip irrigation valve, and other marginal ones. James arrived within an hour of my call. The valves he installed are beautiful! They're high-quality, not the big-box store junk. He aligned them vertically and wrapped all the wires, instead of leaving them dangling like most landscapers do. He even filled back in the dirt left by plumbers doing another job -- and washed off my sidewalk! I had to take off a star for the cost -- they're very pricey. read more

I contacted Sprinkler Logic on behalf of my elderly father in law so I could obtain a quote for a medium sized project in Carmichael (3K-5K). Since I live about 1 hour from his house, I walked the project and prepared a detailed scope of work. This was so I'd not need to meet with multiple companies in the afternoon when I'm working and out of the area. So detailed was my request that most companies could have quoted a price without walking the property. After reviewing my needs, the owner referred me to customer service to request a walk through with a technician. On the day of my initial appointment, something came up at work so I called the office to reschedule and learned that customer service had no record of the meeting that day even though I had forwarded the scope of work and my personal contact information the day before. Undaunted, I reschedule for today at 4:00 pm. In order to get from Lodi to Carmichael, I had to leave work early and fight traffic to get there timely. I arrived promptly at 3:50 pm. As of 4:30, no technician had arrived so I called the company to make sure someone would still be meeting me. There was a message telling me "the call may be monitored for training and quality purposes". Then it rolled over to a message stating "The number you are calling is temporarily unavailable". By my count, this business flaked two days in a row. I cannot imagine how they are able to keep any customers. They've lost this one. Save your time and money! read more

This company is a BIG TIME rip off!!! My elderly mother phoned them to have one of her sprinkler heads repaired or replaced and have her "rainbird" system programmed for her. The technician that came to her house did a quick adjustment on the sprinkler head in question, and then proceeded to dig up and completely remove TWO sprinkler heads from her yard, splice the lines back together and fill in the holes where the sprinklers were... telling her, and I quote "you don't need these." Then he went to program her "RainBird" system, expressed difficulties with the station timers. After several minutes and 3-4 attempts, told my mother that the system itself was not wired properly when it was originally installed and that he needed to rewire part of it and then he could program the watering days/times for each station. By the time this guy left he had screwed up the wiring on her "RainBird" and had the stations coming on all out of order and had two out of four stations coming on 3 times in one day, etc., he had dug up and basically stolen two complete sprinklers out of her front yard (because he took them with him when he left) and then charged her over $600 for doing so. Does this sound like a company that should be promoted on *Yelp or *Angieslist, not to mention the BBB??? I DON'T THINK SO!!!! In fact, had I found out about this sooner there would have been a suit filed against this company in small claims court!!! I WOULD ADVISE ALL FUTURE CONSUMERS TO AVOID THIS COMPANY ALL TOGETHER!!! Furthermore... I would think twice about accepting the "Rave Reviews" posted on the above mentioned sites as being trustworthy as well... DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK AND CHOOSE WISELY!!!! Kevin cam out to troubleshoot a broken sprinkler head and identified a capped off pipe had been stepped on. He fixed it and put below ground. Two days later we realized our sprinklers had nit come back on and Sprinkler Logic sent someone out right away. It seems our system is so old it was mistakenly turned off. Nick came out the 2nd time and set the timer and made sure the system ran through all stations before he left. He was super helpful. The response rate of this company is stellar! read more

I would first like to say that Sprinkler Logic was quick to respond to my residence. The tech was clean, neat and seemed knowledgeable. When the job was completed the tech did a great job. Here's my issue with this company. They are outrageously expensive. I should have followed the rule of getting 3 bids. I didn't because the leak was next to the house foundation, we are in a drought and the leak was bad. The job required the tech to replace about 15-18 ft of water line and 3 valves. The original bid was for 2000.00. Since there was a lot of shrubbery I assumed it bid was taking roots into consideration. When the tech completed the job, I asked him if the bid would be adjusted since the job was completed in just over 5 hrs. He said "NO", then I asked him to break the costs down into parts and labor. Again the tech said "NO that's not how we do business". So, for about 5-6 hours of labor and no more then $200.00 in parts I was charged $2000.00. This equates to about $300.00 per hour for labor. Luckily fixed that issue and the backyard started watering but only to realize there was another problem after that technician let so i called again and Was supposed to have someone come in at 8-9 no one arrived called in got hing up on called again to be told they called to Inform the technician would be here at 9 (PHONE NEVER RANG BECAUSE THEY WROTE DOWN THE INCORRECT NUMBER!!!)
