I wasn't even shopping for outdoor plants, but it was clear they have a huge variety if you are. It's the kind of place where you walk past section after section and keep thinking, "Oh wow... they have that too?" They also have a great selection of pots, so it's dangerously easy to convince yourself you need "just one more plant" because you already found the perfect pot for it. Definitely a fun place to explore if you love plants... or if you accidentally keep becoming a plant person.

After a quick introduction, Dre knew exactly what I wanted. He took the time to explain the differences of some other pine trees, growth, pine needle size, etc. Then he helped me select 3 trees. They have an amazing tropical selection that they rotate through with all the classics plus rare wishlist varieties - I've never left disappointed or empty handed. They're also the first nursery I've ever shopped at frequently where I've NEVER taken home a plant with root rot or pests. The care staff truly know what they are doing and keep all their plants in fantastic condition, which makes the (very slightly) higher prices totally worth it since you know your plant will thrive when you take it home. I just wish they were closer to my house (I'm in Marana), although that would probably be dangerous for my bank account... Love Mesquite!!

The selection is never ending and you can find many native plants that are difficult to find, elsewhere, and impossible to find at the large chain nurseries. I've ended up taking so many plants back to larger places (that I won't name, but we all know) because, even when buying them at whatever price, at the time, I already know that they won't last the year that they are guaranteed for. It always seems like such a waste. Built from the ground up, it's nice to go somewhere that you know isn't just a gear in the big box monster machine. Gardening was one of the things that got me through a cancer journey, and yesterday, as I put my hands in sand and soil, I watched a hummingbird light on one of my favorite flowering bushes, that Jared, the owner, helped me pick out, near the beginning. It was little when I chose it, but now is almost five feet high. I don't remember it's name, but if I were to show anyone who works at Spadefoot, they would know what plant it is, where it can thrive, what care it will require, and when it will bloom. With some thought and planning, one can literally have a rotating buffet of blossoming food for all the critters, without adding any dyes, sugars, or plastic feeders. Nature does it all. I think of this nursery, every single morning, when I see this particular bush, which feeds the bees, hummers... Offers shade and shelter to those without wings, and other wonders, and remember how all things are connected. If you want a peaceful, lovely way to spend some time, skip the bustle and take a stroll, through this unpretentious garden space, and take a bit of that home, with you. She then informed me that they told her to NEVER step foot in their store again because she questioned why they were closing to be involved with a protest a few months ago. My friend then went to a different nursery and spend a little over $800 - if they don't want her business they won't get mine again. It is to bad when business owners let their politics rule their world. The nursery was an ok place to shop but if you are telling people to never come back then I guess you don't need business to bad. Disappointing

It runs 9a-1p and adds a half-dozen little popup craft/artist tables; live music by a local busker; and a couple of food popups. On this occasion they had a vendor selling covered mini-pretzels, including flavors like: chocolate, cinnamon, and spicy, etc. These were tasty but prohibitively expensive at $5 for about 3/4 cup baggie and $9 for 1-/4 cup. I bought the $9 and we demolished them within the hour. The plant offerings vary in size from 1 gal to 5 gal buckets with a few that are larger. Prices float around those of the big box stores and options consist of all of the desert mainstays. The venue is right on noisy 22nd St but it is quaint and beautiful. Parking is free/easy in their adjacent private lot. Staff are present, helpful, and also unobtrusive. Check their hours first!

I also got a lovely basil plant. He has a great selection of herbs, including some pots in which you can get several herbs together. He also has a wide array of succulents and other decorative plants, as well as decorative rocks and crystals. Drew was very knowledgeable and kind! I'll definitely be back for more plants (and advice!) in the future! After researching online, and speaking with experts at various garden centers and landscapers, the conclusion: Tank's Green Stuff. The customer service agent at Tank's Green Stuff provided excellent information and answered all of our questions as to what soil would be the best option for our garden. She gave us the cost estimate for the soil and delivery fee with a date and time it would be delivered. We ordered two(2) cubic yards of Tank's Green Stuff - Pro Planting Mix to fill our raised beds. The cost estimate was exactly as described, the delivery was on time. Tim, the driver who delivered the soil, added a bonus to the entire experience. When he pulled up to our house in his big, delivery truck -- our neighbor and her children (two-to-15 years old) came outside to watch. He made the experience, not only accommodating for us, but fun for our neighbor and her kids. He even honked the big truck's horn twice before pulling away -- to much applause by the neighbors!!
