The reason I say this is that we came the other night and my daughter played in the splash pad while we ate our ice cream. Today it was sunny and 83 degrees and our daughter had been begging us for Dairy Queen so we thought we would come to our then-favorite location. We drive up and the splash pad is on but when we walk up we notice that the gate is locked. We asked inside if they could unlock the gate and they initially said "no because of covid"...when that clearly wasn't the case a couple days ago. We told them that we were just here the other day and the splash pad was open. A teenage employee then said he would "go check." He came back a couple minutes later and notified us that the health department allegedly told them they could put the fountain on for the splash pad but not open the gate? How do you explain this to a three year old? The water is on hunny but it's just for looking at...?! Why even turn it on? That is just cruel.
