I've been coming to sprouts for a few years now. Specifically for their gluten free options. My baby girl has celiac disease amongst other allergies. So, I've been going to this booji supermarket for several months now. Yet I didn't quite know how to approach reviewing a place like this. I guess the best way I could describe it to folks who've never heard of Sprouts would be...the 'Whole Foods' to my 'Harris Teeter'. Okay, that probably doesn't make any sense. But you know what I'm trying to say. When people say this place has everything, they really do have everything. See, this is the place to come when you want actual FRESH produce or high end ingredients, or if you're simply tired of buying processed frozen TV dinners from Walmart. Primarily, I come here for the lamb chops, fresh pasta, and possibly some of the greatest jarred Alfredo sauce that's ever graced the face of the earth (seriously, check out Rao's Alfredo sauce when you get a chance)! Also, it's always a plus when a store features contactless payment options, which this place totally does. And while, yes....a lot of the stuff here is high-end priced, they also have some surprisingly competitive prices when it comes to their meats and seafood selections. Want a thick, juicy rib eye? Come to this place. Want some fairly priced Maine lobster tail? Come to this place. I'm just saying Sprouts is legit. Definitely check it out, but not on a limited budget. Sadly, self checkout has come to Sprouts! I will no longer support any location that has self checkouts. To add further insult you are required to provide your own bags or pay for them. I'm not employed here so why must I do the work? If I'm injured as a customer (not employee) at the checkout line by falling items or anything else, who covers that? I'm a regular Sprouts goer and I was really excited to see that they have them in El Paso when visiting for a few days. I told my BF that we had to stop by and see if they had what they did in CA and I won't go on too long to say that they do. I went up and down a few aisles which was probably annoying to someone that doesn't like lingering in stores. Hehe. We really just went for some water, fruit and to see if they offer the shrimp they have started presenting in the fresh section. They do! Jamaican spice which is the best but way too spicy for the acid reflux penalized. Rosemary citrus which doesn't have too much citrus if you ask me. Black pepper which is the best pick in the middle of the road between not too bland and not too stimulating. :) read more

I've been a frequent customer of Sprout since arriving in El Paso 8 months ago... "frequent" meaning at least once a day.. I shop here for fresh produce bakery items and green feed meats as well as the salad bar. Since I'm one person it's easier to purchase salad items of my choosing. Friday and today while paying I discovered the salad bar items are being charged to you the consumer as "Olive bar" good which is at a higher price. Please be advised this is shady busy tactics and you were called out; just by me posting this. The code for salad bar items is "320". Remind the cashier from now on as from what she informed me "I was told to use olive bar". As a consumer Im telling you to do the right thing in life "320" Bottomline. Love me some Sprouts!!! Great quality products and selection! Its like a smaller version of Wholefoods but its got all your healthy food needs still. They have better deals and coupons here too which is always a plus for this more costly lifestyle. This place also has great sushi selections at great prices too! Super delicious and fresh! And their deli dept serves up some awesome sammies, soups, and salads. Pretty good bread department too. Nothing tops their fabulous meats! The way they have it set up looks like its ready to be used on Iron Chef lol. Its pretty exciting to go through Sprouts just for kicks. Food is insanely overpriced. Probably because they spend too much money on their useless employees. Every time I go there there are 3-4 of them just wandering around the store, not helping at all. Not to mention you can go to check out with a whole chart full and they will just stand there watching you have to do all of it through self checkout instead of opening a register. Sprouts Farmers Market: The Whole Foods of El Paso. Sounds good, right? But in all actuality I have never even been to a whole foods, and until arriving in this town, never been to a Sprouts either... Or a farmers market. In fact, until marrying my wife, I didn't live the healthiest of lives... Oh sure, I'd go to a grocery store now and then... But if it didn't come in a can, a box or the frozen food section... I didn't want nothing to do with it. So that my grocery store background. Relevant? I think so... In case I don't hit the right spots in this review or I say something contradictory, you'll at least understand why. *LOCATION: That's a bit of a tricky one lol. This is the EAST SIDE location, NOT the Sunland Park joint. This store had been previously added, with an address of Zaragoza. Hell, I believe the actual website even claims Zaragoza. However, when I arrived here, I could NOT even check in, because I was supposedly "too far away". So I did what any good Yelper would do... I walked out the front door, stood on the side walk directly in front of the sign, and created the business using the "Fill in with current location" function. The results were showing a different address than Zaragoza. You're welcome. That's not to knock the original creators, as you can SEE Zaragoza from this parking lot. So it's kinda off Zaragoza, but kinda off Loop 375, but kinda on the addy that this search result shows. It's co-located in a shopping area with Home Depot, SPECS, Gander Mtn. From the loop, you can't miss it. Find an exit and head there... You'll be fine. *THE STORE: If you've ever been to a Sprouts, then you already know the deal. Nothing fancy here. Pretty much a mirror image of the West Side one.. And by mirror I of course mean mirror, as in its exactly the same, but opposite. For example, walk into west side, and cosmetics and hygiene stuff blah blah.. Off the left shoulder. East side spot, it's all off the right shoulder. Like a mirror would reflect. The store boasts a variety of organic and super foods. Healthy, clean, etc etc. now they do of course sell some rather unhealthy stuff, I mean who doesn't these days, but for the most part, fruits, veggies, meats, snacks, grains and dairy etc etc... All organic and healthy and non GMO and gluten free and on and on. A vegan could shop here and have a lot of options. A vegetarian can shop here and have a lot of options. A carnivore can shop here and have a lot of options. A health conscious hybrid of all these can shop here and have a lot of options. It's really not that bad of a spot. They also have a deli and some tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a lunch. Or a wrap. A salad? Well, maybe not a salad... Because while I know they have them, could one actually enjoy that? Lemme stop... Enjoy your salad people... It's you're life. VERDICT: I actually like sprouts. It's a pretty good store and I've found a ton of stuff that actually works for me (taste wise) and is healthy. Also, my wife does all the cooking, and she only wants healthy a fresh organic food for ingredients... So, kinda hard to argue with the lone chef in the house. I don't cook, so I don't get to choose where or what we buy... That's fair. Brand new store, nice and big and clean. Specs is next door and that's cool. Home Depot and Gander Mtn can sure kill hours for me. Right off the loop, so easy to get to. I like it. The 4 stars is simply because it's a grocery store with lettuce and sh*t all over the place... I love Sprouts and I'm so happy we finally got one on the east side! The only downfall is whenever my husband I go to get our veggies, they will be completely out of everything we are looking for. It's usually always broccoli. And we go shopping around 6:30 so it's not like it's the end of the night where I could see them being out of things. But when they are fully stocked, the store looks beautiful! They have beer, wine, veggies, sushi, a salad bar, soup bar, vitamins, oils, nuts, and pretty much anything healthy/organic. They are on the pricy side though. This is the only place I can find those gummy watermelon rings... my vice. The staff is always so friendly which keeps me coming back even when I walk out empty handed. Always check out their ads because they have amazing sales (bogo, great chicken prices, etc). If they're out of their sale items, ask for a rain check. They never expire! Pretty awesome. We love coming here and wish there was one closer to our house. Weekly, Sprouts advertises a number of great sales. There is a water fill station at the entrance. Near the registers, they have a number of tables to enjoy some of the ready to eat meals. As a vegetarian, you can never go wrong at Sprouts. I shop the perimeter of the store weekly- vitamins (refrigerated probiotics), frozen (meat alternatives), "dairy", organic fruits and vegetables, pressed juices, and bulk unsalted nuts. The weekend 72 hour sales often entice me to try something new. The store is generally well stocked and priced. I appreciate the variety of grind it yourself coffee. For items in the packaged and processed aisles, I am generally able to find these at better prices elsewhere. I've added in a bit of home decorating with the lovely selection of interesting potted plants- succulents, orchids, and herbs. read more

Our elder community members do not have smart phones, electronics, etc..... & don't have access to the Sprouts app for additional discounts. I watched as they were told discounts do not apply since they don't have the app. Shame on you Sprouts, taking advantage of the elder when most of them are on a tight budget & not smart phone savvy. This Sprouts is just beyond fantastic. The store is clean, well-lit, and sensibly laid-out. Their prices are always very reasonable. When combined with the sales that they regularly run on everything from bread, to meat, to milk, to veggies, they actually often beat Albertson's, Target, and Walmart in price (not to mention quality!!). Their produce is always extremely fresh, as is their meat and seafood. This past Saturday, which was my birthday, my fiancé and I stopped in to pick up some marinated chicken and salmon kabobs to grill during my birthday party that afternoon. We got to chatting with the associate behind the meat and seafood counter, and happened to mention that we were happy it was a clear, sunny day, since it was my birthday and I had been hoping to barbecue! He wished me a happy birthday, and then went about packaging up the kabobs. A moment or two later, he comes back with a huge package of kabobs, and says "I threw in a couple of lobster tails for you since it's your birthday-- it's on the house. Enjoy, and Happy Birthday!" I couldn't believe it!! You very rarely see this kind of customer service, so I was just thrilled at what a kind and thoughtful gesture it was! Sprouts is a great haven for those of us who are not from around here - and dearly missing our Dr. Bronners, dried snap peas, and organic milk options :) (ie that vegetarian hippy big city type) Huge positive of Sprouts: the non-organic fresh fruits and veggies. Unlike Amos, I'm not a San Francisco hippie who needs vegan gluten-free buffalo wings and organic free-range chips to watch my precious Warriors play a style of ball that can only be described as Diet Dirk, but I do like shopping at Sprouts for certain items. In particular, I find Sprouts to have an outstanding selection of nuts, and if you love putting nuts in your mouth as much as I do, this is the place to go. I also like their candy selection, they have a lot of great by-the-pound chocolate-covered treats, my favorite are the chocolate-covered cherries. Sprouts also carries some of my favorite deli meats that are not easy to find at other stores in El Paso. The food is fresh. But considering how pricey it is, you would think they would have more cashiers. The lines are always long, and the cashiers always seem slow. If one buy two or three items like I always do, one becomes annoyed after several visits. And yesterday, I decided it was no longer worth the wait. So I left the two items in the basket, and left. By the way, I usually go around five in the afternoon, when people are getting off work and they're buying groceries before going home. Yet, there are always only two cashiers. I made the mistake of going to this recently opened location on a Saturday...As you can imagine, it was sheer insanity. You were bumping, shuffling, and standing within an inch of someone in nearly every aisle. If you do not enjoy being uncomfortably close to strangers, then you may want to keep this in mind until the excitement of this new store location dies down. As far as selection and pricing, it is almost identical to the Westside location. Some items are worth the price and some are not. You can find stellar, natural or organic items that you won't find anywhere else at either location. I will add that there are definitely more sales going down at this location - for now. Maybe an opening sale? I still would not go on a full scale grocery shopping trip but for a few specialty items, I am in. I have to say though that the produce looked especially good here and I was able to snag a few additional items at a good price. Despite the madness, products were actually still really organized. The checkout line moved a little slow but mainly because customers were not writing down sku numbers for bin items so it got just a bit clogged up. Overall, I like Sprouts but I can confidently say that I won't be back at a "busy" time again. read more

Almost always out of sale items, and produce is not always fresh. We needed avocados and were shocked by the mountain of mushy, clearly spoiled avocados. They should have left the display blank than put those out. They have some good stuff like meat, cheese, and hard to find organic ,gluten free, vegan packaged items, but usually sprouts is the best for great produce but no thank you, I'll stick to El Super. read more
