Sooo Overall the American grocery items are overpriced. I wouldn't shop here regularly, but comes in handy for a few items and of course any Latino seasonings/ingredients for any meal you're preparing. They have snacks or dulces (sweets/candy) too. The produce is priced fairly and the market areas are reasonable - bakery, butcher, tacos, etc. I've yet to try their tamales. Gotta do that! Anyone try them? I here Valentine's Bakery has good ones. Not sure though. Recently I've had some donuts here. They were tasty but I normally liked them warm and it's no donut shop. The pastries and customer cake orders are great (price and taste). I recently ordered some "Frozen" cupcakes for my daughter's class on her birthday and they nailed my vision. They had some "Frozen" candles too which we're pretty convenient. You pay a small deposit when ordering and then pick up and pay the remaining balance. My oldest teen (a cupcake connoisseur of sorts) said they were really good ones. So that's a win! I typically order my cakes from Albertsons, but may make the switch for any designs. They have self-check out now which is cool. Must pay on cake orders through the cashier at a checkout lane though. Purchased a birthday cake for my daughter on 6/1/25. The cake was stale and the icing hard. We were all very disappointed!

We moved to El Paso right before the New Year and have traditionally 'played it safe' while grocery shopping. Walmart, Target, Sprouts, the stores we are used to seeing in various states. These week we decided to stop into Vista just to check it out and left with a hand basket full of stuff. I'm almost certain we may not buy meat or fresh produce from anywhere else on a regular basis the rest of the time we live here. From fresh tortillas, to King Crab legs; massive steaks to hot or cold queso; giant chilies, large jalapeños, and a great selection of other fruits and vegetables. Do yourself a favor, if you have thought about stopping in before you've already wasted too much time; do it! read more

Although I have shopped for many things here this review will be specifically about the hot Deli section. This was the last straw for me. In the past I have had instances with the food being bad or tasting off. This time we bought some charro beans and they were spoiled. The date said it was packaged that day and the expiration date was days away. We'll they were sour. After the first bite I knew they were no good. They tasted soury. My bf had thrown the receipt but went to return them and was offered store credit. It's happened with menudo in the past and picadillo too. I wonder if they reheat left over food or aren't careful with storage. If I were the health debt I'd go take a look to see what's going on. read more

Avoid this place on the weekends! It's horribly busy.. You will get hit by incoming cart traffic!! Beware of the people who drive their carts so fast, they run into you on those dangerous curves. Oh and no one says sorry. People also come here thinking this is some type of meetup area and decide to talk right in the middle of where your supposed to walk. You literally have to yell out "EXCUSE ME" because they are so deep in their conversations. Then they look at you like your the rude one. The checkout lines have always been ridiculously long and only like three lanes seem to only be open when I've come in. Heck even the express lane is long! I always come for one or two things so having to wait more then 10mins for that is kinda cray. This place is pretty big though and it has all your Hispanic food necessities. There is also a food area and food court inside that always smells good! There are always employees stocking up shelves and produce and the store itself is pretty clean. *wear steel toed boots, never flip flops to prevent your toes from being ran over! read more

Called for the manager hector to talk to him about the rat poop all over the tostadas. It took about twenty minutes three calls later I walked away to see him arriving at the front when I was checking out. I told him about the rat poop but he didn't seem to care that much or wasn't really surprised by it l. I don't think I will be coming back I used to love the place and always thought it was clean but after today I question this stores quality of cleanliness. read more

I love the burritos at this place. I also love the Chile con queso. All their vegetable, and fruit variety, their freshly made tortillas. It was also the only market in which I found cactus tunas. God! I love them. The only reason I didn't make this a 5 star review is because some of the youngsters working there are kinda rude. I had some ham cut for me, and the guy threw the bag so hard that it fell all the way to the floor on my side. I looked at him. No apology, just looked at me like well pick it up. On an other occasion I got there like at 8:45 pm to buy a delicious agua de melon. Which I crave like a pregnant woman. So I get to the section, and the aguas were put away. I ask an older gentleman if he could sell me one, to which he kindly said yes. He went to the back and got me one. 2 days after that I worked late, so I hurried, and got there at 8:37 pm. This young kid was there, the aguas were already put out away. I figured, wow! They close early. So I asked him if he could get one for me, to which he said no. I pleaded with him. Please I rushed here to make it on time. He looked at me, and once again said no. I left that day with a bad taste in my mouth craving the agua de melon. Those were just 2 bad experiences that kinda made me think. Are these guys not trained right, or just down right rude. I know if I worked there. I'd be happy just to have a job, and go out of my way to be kind to people, and work with a smile on my face. I know some customers can be rude too, but I'm never rude to employees or customers in my past jobs. Thank you for reading this review. The store finally got rid of all the old folks behind the food, deli and meat section that couldn't communicate well due to language barrier. It is a great convenient store nevertheless: clean, well-organized and not so crowded now that Albertson is down the street. There's only one suggestion though, the meat section should only use herb & spices and Worchester sauce to marinate the meat. Whatever is that they use, I have to rinse off and re-season the meat. read more

I am digging this store, y'all. Super clean, super friendly people, and a nice change of pace from your massive supermarkets. Now this place does happen to lean more towards the Latino demographic. You'll notice all the mangoes and guava and papaya and fresh cut fruit as soon as you walk in, so you'll know you're in the right place in case you miss the sign up front. I will say this too, that medium sized tub of fresh fruit was $4.99...at H-E-B in San Antonio it would have been around $11 What I did notice was that many items did seem to be a little higher in price. For example, a 12 pack of cokes was $5.49.... those are some convenient store/ CVS prices on a 12 pack. Dang. But the sale items were a steal and the meat market looked fresh and didn't smell like a rotting carcass, I really appreciated that. Check out was convenient, fast and friendly too. This is my absolute favorite marketplace in El Paso. I love how loving and kind they are to the neighborhood which is great since it is like five minutes from my house. Everyone here is super friendly and always willing to give you a hand. It's so refreshing and nice to hear people call you mijo and make you feel they've known you for quite some time. Not only do they have all your shopping needs but what truly sets them apart is the quality and flavors of all their prepped food ready to sell. I am completely obsessed with their tortillas. My family is constantly having to send some to me in San Antonio as Vista is like royalty when it comes to their tortillas. They're made from scratch and right in front of you with their tortilla press machines. Who doesn't love the fresh scent of corn or flour tortillas coming out of the bakery? Whenever you have the chance to come over here I highly recommend to come hungry so you can eat and sample all their amazing products. From their fully cooked brisket, beans to aguas frescas and tamales, you are going to leave with one happy tummy. The only other Mexican grocery stores that I have been to are HEB and Central Market in San Antonio. This market certainly has an authentic Mexican feel compared to HEB and Central market which seems more of a hybrid. I didn't shop for produce but would stop by on some weekends for their barbacoa, brisket and pork from their meat station and various pastries from their bakery. Their brisket alone is something to worth trying. The price is reasonable at what I believe was 9.99/LB and their other meat stations as well. Their drink station was also really good (aqua frescas?). If sprouts wasn't located to close to this area, I would most likely have done my shopping here. read more

I'm at this location 4-6 times a week. One time I bought buttermilk as it was with the 2% milk. I tried to return it I couldn't because I didn't have the receipt.. it has been a bothersome to me that this store doesn't permit the customers to enter or exit the same door and actually has someone on the payroll directing customers...it's not only annoying it's unfriendly and takes the pleasure away from shopping here.. This review isn't about the great food and products they offer but it is about employment there, first off the management is horrible, never a set schedule, they rely on you to work other departments that are not discussed during the interview process. No professionalism, owners and managers didn't acknowledge you when you're the foundation of the business, raises are rare and there is no holiday pay , or any benefits. They overwork you for minimum wage, no equal start pay between the departments there. read more

Love this place. Its a tortilla factory, bakery and general store. In the mornings, you can watch the flour tortillas being made, super cool. I'm sorry, I'm from NY and NY really doesn't have tortillas like this. Although we do have Nixtimal for corn tortillas. So you El Paso Peeps are really lucky. The tamales are also really good and inexpensive. I always take a few dozen tortillas back to NYC. You can just put butter on them and they are yummy goodness. When climbing in Hueco, buy some tortillas and tamales for breakfast & lunch. Yummy easy to eat goodness. The service is generally top rate and you should visit! read more

My favorite market to shop at in EL paso! Why do you ask? Because I can límon chips and the BEST brisket served in the deli you can ask for!!!!! Not to mention the fruit always fresh and there is always plenty of what you need to make a traditional Hispanic meal!! My fiancé and I literally would plan meals around the brisket it was pricey, but let's face it good meat is. The meat/fish area was great always polite and serving up a great deal. This place is the only grocer within short distance for me. When I just need to pick up a little something I stop here. If you have had one of those days at work, stop by. A little Robert Palmer, a little Duran Duran, some Culture Club and your outlook just turned all Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. The music selection will have you overlook the masses and masses of food that are quantity but not always quality. Went here with hubby to check it out. First of all I'll say the parking lot kinda sucks. Going in you immediately walk into the produce. Beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables which is fantastic! Overall with any of the products, you have to watch the prices because some things are a little pricier than competitors. The store is clean and the employees are friendly. They have a little section for beer and the variety is awesome! There's also a little nook area for their wine selection. Pretty decent selection. I tried something new (even though I didn't like it, it was neat to try something new). Cashing out the lady was friendly and joked and laughed with us. At the register I saw they have my Japanese style peanuts that I absolutely LOVE. How even more perfect! I'd definitely go back. read more

This store has declined in quality and service since they opened. The burritos in the deli used to be much bigger and tastes better. Now they use smaller tortillas, and put less meat on the burrito. The women making the burritos can use an attitude adjustment. Honestly, if you hate your job, or don't like serving food- maybe you need to find a new job. The produce section is good, usually they have whatever you need. Their butcher area has decent selection, not a fan of their adobe chicken or beef. I do enjoy the mexicAn sweet bread. This review is aimed at the prepared food section where we ate lunch today. Delicious fresh aromatic tortillas are filled with a variety of options from the warming table by an attendant who spoke little or no English. The mark of authentically amazing Mexican food. The options range from smoked brisket, lengua, papas con chorizo to queso & breakfast items. They're sold by the pound at a reasonable rate. There's a great selection of Aguas frescas from the fruit bar that are all mouthwatering! They'll allow you to taste them before deciding which one you'll have but they only give you the straw after you've purchased them at the register. We had horchata & coconut aguas frescas and they are both amazing! If you're dining in, you can buy it at a little register in the cafe coffee shop area to the right and sit at tile topped tables under umbrellas just inside the grocery store. It has the feel of a little market cafe in old Mexico, and I can imagine the food is just as amazing! Beware if you're faint of taste buds, this food is anything but bland! It's a flavorful blend of authentically Mexican spices, chiles & quality meat cooked to perfection. Great place to grocery shop when they have monthly sales, staff is predominantly Latino with most being able to speak & understand English well. However, the N Zaragoza location on the Far East side I had an hygienic issue with; while speaking with an employee by their baked goods area a fly seemed to have gotten into the glass enclosure & landed on a few of the baked goods the employee shushed it out of the enclosure, did not remove any of the food it landed on & closed the enclosure. That was a turn off for me so I didn't purchase my intended pastries nor have purchased any baked goods from there since because sadly when I mentioned it to her she took the trays out once she assumed I left she placed them back into the enclosure. read more

Buyer beware. This store's policy is no returns, refunds, exchanges, even when they price or advertise items items incorrectly, or when a food product is sold after is spoiled. I recently bought an item that was priced with a big sign above it but was charged over $10. Before leaving the store I questioned it. I was told it was a different item. I wanted to return it for a refund or exchange for lower priced item and the manager refused. Please note, I had not exited the store. I had not opened the package. I had shown to them how the sign was placed on the item and how misleading it was. This is not the first time. I have purchased items advertised or priced on the shelf for a lower price but scan higher. Is $2 and $3 here and there. I have also brought home spoiled items (fruit bowl and crema). Too much trouble to complain. I now know it won't do any good. It is sad that a store that claims to serve El Paso community needs treats their customers this way. I have a choice to buy in another store and perhaps that's the solution. El comprador tenga cuidado. I love this market store! It is a small market store, with a variety of Latin products- the majority of the products being from Mexico, which I loved! You'll find a variety of items, from cheeses, meats (even marinated meats, such as al pastor, aside, adobada and many more). In addition, they have a large variety of vegetables and fruits. They even make their own tortillas, so you're able to purchase fresh tortillas daily. Also, the store offers homemade dinners such as tamales, soups and etc. They also have a bakery that has great pastries- my favorite being their conchas- DELICIOUS! Overall, I love going to this store, it has everything I need, I am able to get in and out quickly, I rarely have to wait long in line. They also offer specials in their vegetables aisle, so Im able to purchase vegetables for a lesser value.
