If I'm looking for something that fits a specific dietary restriction, I know I can usually find it there. Items are usually more expensive there, but sometimes you can catch some of their deals. Sprouts is still my go to market for all things gluten free and vegan. They have a variety of options to chose from and they are all labeled throughout the store to make it easier to shop with an allergy/preference. I also like how they have a seasonal section to try out new flavors of the holidays. There's something for everyone in that section and throughout the store. Produce is fresh, products are usually always in stock but make sure you're reading the best by/used by on products. I've never had an issue until today when I grabbed my pressed juice. I got in the car to drink my smoothie and I realized I had to do a double take on the lid, it was expired by two weeks! I'm sorry but why is this on the shelf?? I can see maybe a few days after the date, it might be ok but it being fresh juice it prolly wasn't. Needles to say I threw it in the trash because I was not about to get sick off some juice! **note to self: check the dates on everything** read more

My wife, daughter, and I love this place! There's a manager here named Dave who is the nicest guy in the world. He's always super helpful and friendly and just a great person all around. He always has an extra treat or snack for my daughter and all the employees are super knowledgeable and friendly. The cashiers also hand my daughter a scented sticker every time we're here. Also, fun fact -- the produce here is cheaper than Ralph's or Von's. PLUS they always have these BOGO deals that I don't find anywhere else. I love Sprouts sandwiches! Seriously, for 4.99, you get a good sized sandwich that's tasty! Their cooked food is also pretty good. Sprouts offers a variety of stuff to buy like bulk snacks, produce, dairy, etc. I will definitely keep returning and recommend this place for their sandwiches and other food. read more

This is about the brand new Sprouts Farmers Market which opened THIS MORNING, with a GRAND grand opening. I searched for it here on Yelp*, but this new store isn't even yet listed (!!??), so I'm hoping people will quickly realize that THIS new Sprouts is at the intersection of Sand Canyon Road and Soledad Canyon Road on what I believe would be considered the northwest corner. WOW! The opening was "bumper-to-bumper" first-time customers, but man, it was just lots and lots of FUN! Upon my early (yawn) arrival, I received a lovely long-stemmed white rose which had such a delicate scent. I arrived carrying a two-column shopping list, and took my time having so much of a good time meeting nearly every single employee, and then surprisingly nearly bumping into Eric, the store manager! Nice reunion after too many years away. Mind you, I live one mile from Trader Joe's (which I do love - no hurt feelings either way, please, okay?), and they have unique food items, but for me personally, Sprouts really has got it down for us vegans. I KNEW I would load up my cart with fantastic vegan foods I've not had for quite a lot of years (too far to drive to the original Valencia location). And THIS new - and gigantic - Sprouts is architecturally designed, inside and out, in wonderful ways - especially the ability to stand in the very middle of the center (all fresh produce), and look across in all four directions, and being able to see each and every aisle, along with most of the walls of "stuff galore". And there was what may seem as if it's a small "big deal" feature, but outside, on the beautiful, almost winding retaining wall at waist-high height, distributed across that entire wall were above-the wall's top - now get THIS: with concrete(?) oak tree leaves. I thought that was to make up for all the oak trees Santa Clarita had CHOSEN to lose to new developments but, no. Unbelievably - and ever so intelligently - they've been put there so SKATEBOARDERS CANNOT ride on top of that pretty wall and, subsequently, ruin all of that! Isn't that a remarkable feature? I spent a lot of hours slowwwwwwwwwwly food-shopping, because I really wanted to meet all the new employees... and then chat/chat/chat with other customers. AND... MOST importantly for ME, AS a 30-year-long ethical vegan (I rescue and help rehabilitate all "kinds" of animals), I FOUND EVERY SINGLE VEGAN ITEM ON MY LIST!!! Oh my, that sure made me happy! If you want to have an extra blast in the produce areas (both back perimeter and the large central section), plan to spend a couple of hours trying to decide which TYPE of each vegetable or fruit you simply MUST end up with. [If you're old enough to remember family-owned candy stores where everything was a penny, that's how it felt GAZING at all the yummy produce.] Lots of freebies to sample throughout my roundabout, and total appreciation for the perfect facing everywhere. So now I've got TWO food markets, both with different GOOD, GOOD reasons to shop at them. Again, dear people, please don't feel abandoned - I can spread my loyalty, and there really IS a nice difference between the two brands. One more important thing: I asked so many employees how they're feeling about having Eric as their manager, and every single one of those people exclaimed how grateful they are that he IS their manager. A lot of them told me about the excellent training, and how nice he is, and that's essential. For only the next two days, following this Friday grand opening, if you scan or save their barcode to your mobile phone, and present it to your friendly cashier, there is a 20% discount on ALL the food! So today, Friday, you still have quite a few hours to get there, and there's always Saturday (7AM to 10PM, which is May 10th - AND also Sunday (7AM to 10PM, which is May 11th! Go there, check it out, sample items, and enjoy meeting those lucky employees. Welcome and congratulations to Eric for landing this beautiful, inviting location!
