THE WORST customer service from any grocery store in the Santa Clarita Valley. On Sunday, I went in and Frida was extremely rude. She had no sense of urgency when assisting customers. While I was waiting at the register for her to ring me up, the least she could have done was acknowledge me and say she'd be right with me, but instead she kept talking with her coworkers. Once she finally started ringing me up, she began grabbing the hand basket on the conveyor belt and mumbling to herself, seeming upset. I mentioned that everything I had was already rung up and that the basket wasn't mine. She then started shouting at me, saying she knew that. Then, when it came time for payment, she began shouting at me again because apparently I was "taking too long," even though the screen was prompting me to wait for the cashier. She kept yelling that she was waiting on me and telling me to "go." When I called the store to complain, the floor manager said she would pass the message along and that the store manager would reach out. Well, here we are four days later and still no call from the store manager. I have only visited this store a handful of times, and every experience has involved awful customer service. I will never shop here again. That was the last straw. If employees don't want to assist customers, then please consider adding self-checkout stations. read more

I still like this store, it can help save you money and eat healthier. I keep an eye on the flyer because they have a great selection of yogurt, labneh and cheeses and if you can get it when it's on sale - even better The store must be getting more popular because lately it's been crowded - I need to figure out when the off times are I always get pita here - a deal of a price - and I Pair it with labneh and veggies for my healthy roll up sandwich lunches for cheap! Came in on a very specific mission: to find the limited-edition Hello Kitty soy sauce bottle my daughter had to have. Mission accomplished... and then some. What started as a quick stop turned into a genuinely fun shopping experience. This store is packed with imported gems--Cento products, Cadbury, and even our family's favorite noodles from France (which I usually have to hunt down or order online). It felt like a mini international food adventure. Prices were great--some were insane like the shredded Parmesan cheese at $3.49 a pound definitely made me do a double take. The highlight, though, was Fernando, who orders for the store and I believe may be a supervisor. He was incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of great suggestions. You can tell he genuinely cares about what the store carries and about the customers. I'll absolutely be back. It's so nice to have a nearby place to grab specialty items without driving far or paying pricey delivery fees. This place turned a Hello Kitty errand into a new favorite local stop. read more

We have been shopping here since we first discovered it years ago and love this store! It has gotten very popular and is now very busy but the customer service is alway friendly and helpful. The produce section has such great prices and items that can't be found anywhere else in the Valley. It's an adventure browsing the iles and we never leave without one delicious new item to try. The bakery has lots of goodies especially their fruit tart which we often order for special occasions. I could go on and on but you get the picture! read more

I want to complain about management or owners. You guys decided stop to bring Dashti Tomatoes, which was the best tomatoes in the store. You are making people to drive al the way to Valley markets, Granada Hills,Sun Valley , North Hollywood for that product. Today is Tuesday at 10:30 in the morning. I visited went to the deli section to get some mortadella two ladies working One was prepping. She ignored me. The other one was helping another lady. She also ignored me gave me a couple sideway glances. Probably hoping I would go away which I did you didn't get my business so I went up to pay and there's a couple of employees standing around towards the front male employees and I hear an old lady ask is there any cashiers open, and one of the employees stated "yes there's two how many do you want eight?". Love this market for the selection of food but had a very disappointing experience with the way a manager handled a situation. Was charged twice for an item and when I went back with my receipt to get a second item ( since I was charged for two) the manager Rosie said I should have come to her first before getting the item and coming to the front with it. I explained I am coming to you , I am not walking out of the store I am literally coming to YOU!!!! Shame on you for not apologizing for over charging me or me having to come again or anything., Just so focused that I should have come to her first. I am glad we have a Valley marketplace near us. It is so convenient for anyone trying to find any kind of international foods. The staff is always so friendly and you can find someone so easily as they are all around. The produce is always fresh but a little pricey I might say. They are located at Bridgeport plaza so there is plenty of parking. such a great place to shop always clean and well stocked . I occasionally come in her for some international foods, but this last visit was pretty disappointing. When I headed over to the freezer section I noticed most of the food in 2 cabinets was pretty thawed out. The thermometer was reading 45 degrees. I alerted management and he said he would address it. Nevertheless I was pretty disappointed not being able to grab some lumpia and tocino. Prices here were also pretty high, even for commonly found items. I did walk away with some flan from the bakery that was delicious. Hopefully they fix the issues asap and the quality resumes for everyone's safety. read more

Poor customer service by the manager on 03.11.2026. Don't know her name, she was rude, I had a bag, cotton handbag, she insisted to check my bag, when I was exiting the shop. Been a regular customer there for 15+ years, such a pathetic thing, she picked on me. Not sure why? I felt discrimination was at its peak by this female manager on this evening. Valencia, CA, shop. Did not address to me properly, no courtesy, indecent behavior. I came to shop, to return packs of nuts, very bad quality, rancid taste. How could they sell old food? When, she asked me, the reason for return, I said "not good food". Maybe that's why she picked on me, I felt disgusting with her behavior, did not even look at her face, and left the store, feeling sad, irritated & questioning, "you were selling bad food, and putting the customer, to feel bad". I like the variety of food and prices are hit or miss based on the week. Generally the checkout is friendly but today the person did not want to bag my items. I did not say anything. But when I was too slow bagging it myself she helped by putting a large glass bottle of oil on top of my eggs in a new bag. I didn't say anything but took it out. I love the variety of international food they sell at this market, including the deli and bakery. I never had a bad experience with any of the food. Customer service is always awesome. This isn't a big market, but they do have a lot of selections. The parking lot is big, however there is a lot of traffic in the parking lot. I recommend this market. :) read more

I've been a regular customer since it was called Valley Produce Market, but today I witness something I've never experienced before in any other supermarket in Santa Clarita. The cashier on register number 5 didn't bother to greed me but when ahead when started insulting another employee that was helping on register 7. I kind of know Spanish and I know for sure she called her f*ckng stupid in Spanish. That was very unacceptable and unprofessional act, I don't think that Valley Marketplace deserves this type of employee who are making hostile environment at a workplace. read more

I have been visiting a week since they opened in 2010! I'm always so shocked as how much cheaper they are compared to Ralphs and Albertsons. the deli counter has great sales and the staff at the meat counter are friendly and consistently warm! but my favorite is the produce .... so affordable . my dollar can really stretch here! BONUS: recently done an interior signs on the wall and update aesthetics. It's such a beautiful store and I love that the staff recognizes me now. read more

I was taken to your store and loved it . I found things that I had seen on the cooking shows that I was shocked to see. The prices are really good for the items I was looking for. But I live so far away it takes time and a lot of gas. So I would love to get a ad from the store. I tried to see the ad on the tablet and it doesn't get bigger so I'm having trouble seeing the prices and names of the items. I live in Mojave and I have to get my friend to go with me. I have been going to this store on a regular basis. Multicultural and clean but limited organic produce though. Nice managers specially Armik. He always greets the customers and have a smile on his face. Also, Annjanet (one of the cashiers) needs to be recognized. She is very fast and focused on her job, polite and does her best not to make your wait in a long line. read more

During the last six-month period we have been shopping at Valley Marketplace in Valencia, we have substantially increased our grocery purchases. This is due in part to their wide selection of ethnic products, fresh produce and cheeses at reasonable prices, convenient parking, and of course their friendly customer service. When Armik, the congenial, hard-working store manager, is around, we have a pleasant shopping experience. With his helpful, problem-solving attitude, he sets the tone for caring and efficient customer service. Manning the check-out registers is an all-female staff, and one staff member named Minarvat needs mention for her zeal and diligence in performing her tasks. However, there are areas for improvement: need for better human traffic movement in the narrow passageway of the produce section; competitive pricing of branded products which are now more expensive than the large grocery chains; and availability of organic produce. If the current good practices continue, and the suggested improvements happen, Valley Marketplace could become our one-stop grocery shopping store. Good luck! read more

Worst produce in Santa Clarita. Don't waste your money on buying produce from them. The produce has absolutely no flavor.

My wife likes going to this market for produce and meats. She complains that the butchers aren't friendly and there's one individual, tall, hispanic, who's been working there for a while, that picks and chooses who he wants to assist. When my wife approaches the counter to order and there's no other customers around and he's available, he doesn't bother to assist her. He walks away to pretend he's doing something else. Once she's assisted by another butcher, another customer will approach, he will assist the other customer. I didn't want to believe her, but when I go with her, I will stay my distance to watch and she's definitely right. She said the butchers always sigh or make comments when you want to select the right quality of meats to buy. She hates approaching the butchers but, she will still go there to buy our meats. She said she doesn't get this type of service by butchers at Stater Bros. and Vons. They're friendly, helpful and provide great service. She stated your cashiers and manager are friendly. The quality and pricing on the meats and produce are reasonable. read more

As long as there's half a chance they are reading this - what happened to the mini pumpernickel bread you used to have? Today, I asked where a sale item was and three different employees either gave ambiguous directions ("Probably on the other side side of the store") or told me to ask someone else. Once I found the item, it rung up at a different price and I told the cashier. She rudely told me, "it's only fifty cents. You can't afford that?" That's not the point. today 12/31/25 I was in the Valencia valley produce at the deli and one of the older ladies there I didn't get her name, but I will. was very rude to my granddaughter and myself. She made my granddaughter cry. Even other customers told the manager how rude she was. This is the grocery store I always go to. The manager there is very friendly, he apologized for her bad behavior. I had customers approach me and tell me how it was hard for them to witness that and that the deli clerk was out of line. One of the customers even told the clerk in his language to calm down. I really hope she gets reprimanded for her bad behavior and being such a bully to a ten year old. I will find out her name and post it here. This is a very miserable woman,that should not be working with the public.. I'm very, very upset on how she made my granddaughter feel. read more
