    Ube halo halo

Great ube halo halo. Service was great and staff was clear on his recommendation. Surprising it was much better than we anticipated and we finished the whole thing! Great balance of flavors and not too sweet. Variety of texture and toppings inside Nice and cool inside and good amount of seating. Highly recommended!! Especially if you love ube or want to try a new dessert in Valencia.

I am so happy that the SCV has a Cafe 86! This cafe is focuses on Filipino flavors such as ube and calamansi (imagine an orange and a lime had a baby) as well as traditional Asian teas you would find at boba spots but without the boba. In the earlier years, they had ube lattes and blended coffee drinks but I am happy to see an expansion of their menu offering coolers, espresso drinks, iced coffees and halo halo. I came here on Mother's Day to get my mom some ube crack cheesecake instead of flowers. Good ube taste and not too sweet. Skyflakes crust are made from crackers popular from the Philippines give it a slightly salty, buttery crust. This location reminds me a lot like the Northridge location where it is located in a shopping mini mall. It has tons of parking which is the exact opposite of Northridge's location. Service was efficient and the people behind the counter were attentive. I had my dogs in the car so I ordered from the parking lot on their site using the Toast platform and waited until I can walk in to pick it up. It was convenient but I didn't get a chance to really pick up the vibe of the place. There are a good amount of tables available and I noticed more people were coming by to pick up orders. For me, I would come here mainly for their drinks. These coolers are much more delicious than a certain popular chain. This particular visit, I had ordered the Jasmine Calamansi, and it was so needed in this 91degree heat! Normally, I would order an iced sea salt coffee or an ube latte. The desserts here are fun as they use Filipino ingredients to give a new take on familiar tastes. For example, Milo is a chocolate powder drink that is used for the Milo cupcakes. Skyflakes is a brand of crackers that they use in the crust of the cheesecake. Other flavors they feature are ube, calamansi, turon My persona favorites are the ube flan, ube and turon pop tarts, crinkle cookies and the ube tres leches. Special note: halo halo here is made with a different interpretation and I personally love it. Growing up, I am not a huge fan of halo halo. My family put way too much of the jellies and canned fruit. I like Cafe 86 because it's way less, less milk and I like the frosted flakes for texture. I like the upside down halo halo because they used ube ice cream as a base and in size mini.

In the area. It's hot out. I wanted a cold drink and a sweet treat to go with my drink. Been seeing this place pop up on my IG. Gave it a shot. Didn't disappoint. Staff are friendly, service was quick, and the inside was fine. It was cool and dark(ish) but that's fine when it's hot out. Their menu's pretty vast. I got an ube milk tea with lychee and boba and it was perfect! When they hand it to you they let you know that they're happy to modify it if the taste doesn't meet your standards. I thought that was nice. As my food treat I got the Ube butter bar and that was "melt in your mouth good!" They have a few locations which is cool. I went to the Valencia location. If the other locations are as good as this one then awesome! I recommend!

We grabbed a combination of pastries from this spot when we were in the area. I hadn't heard about this place before but the desserts looked so good that we couldn't resist. We ended up with a baked goods sampler pack: Ube Leche Flan Cupcake, Ube Crack Cheesecake, Ube Crinkles, Ube Truffle, Ube Butter Bar, Ube Tres Leches, and Turon Pop Tart. All of the treats were delicious. Full of flavor, fluffy and made me cherish every bite. The creative use of the ube flavors made into different desserts was pretty interesting. I also liked their unique take on classic or traditional sweet treats. The presentation was pretty amazing and I also liked that they were able to package these treats to go and keep them fully intact and looking as good and as fresh as if it was just made. I will definitely be coming back to this spot and checking out other items from the menu in the future.

Being a frequent customer of Cafe 86 for many years, I was thrilled when they finally opened a location in Santa Clarita which is closer to home. Their Ube desserts are legendary. My personal favorites are the Ube Leche Flan cakes, Ube truffles, Ube Crack Cheesecakes, Ube Crinkle Cookies and their Halo-Halo. We visited during their grand opening weekend and it was packed with a long line inside the store. Since then, the hype has died down so you can easily pop in and out for some delicious desserts. The store is spacious and parking is never an issue.

Very disappointing experience. I had a $30 gift card that neither the computer nor the scanner would recognize, and two employees couldn't figure out the issue. Instead of resolving it, they asked me to step aside while they helped other customers and said they were going to call their boss. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes just to buy one drink and six pastries to bring to a friend's house. After all that waiting, there was still no solution, and I had to pay out of pocket anyway. The lack of urgency, communication, and customer service made what should have been a quick stop a complete waste of time.

Didn't know they opened one up here so I definitely had to make a visit! Already love this location compared to the Northridge one due to their earlier opening hours and larger parking!! Was able to park right up front, lots of parking spots available as well. Walked in and were greeted by the very friendly staff. Lots of seating and love the overall vibe of this place. There was another couple enjoying their halo-halo and then a lady had a pick up order for a bunch of drinks! My drinks also came out very quickly, freshly made boba, strong coffee and perfect sweetness. I LOVE their cookie butter lattes and very satisfied with this location! Worth the drive out. I don't have a sweet tooth but I'll have to pick up some desserts next time! IG: @ammysalamii

    Cheesecake and milk tea

Loved my experience here! This is a great place for fun desserts and milk teas! The service is quick and the menu is very extensive. The staff recommended their favorites (Ube crack cheesecake, Ube truffle, and Ube flan). I tried the Ube crack cheesecake and loved the ratio of the cheesecake and the crust. The crust is pretty hard but adds a great texture. I loved how the Ube cheesecake isn't too sweet and is very thick and creamy. I'll definitely look forward to trying more desserts here! The milk tea here is really good, you can actually taste the tea and doesn't feel artificial or too sweet. This shop has lots of seating and cute string lights! A great place for a family outing, date, or to hang out with friends!

I came on a weekday evening for a quick snack while visiting the area. I'm a huge fan of Ube and Oreos, so this seemed perfect. The interior was very clean and minimal. My drink was prepared very quickly and the front staff was friendly. My mini Ube monster milkshake started off quite icy, but became creamier as I kept drinking. Overall, I had a great experience and will return to try the other desserts.

    Ube Matcha

I'm glad they opened one of these in the SCV, they are great options for quick and delicious Filipino goods and drinks. The Ube matcha was great, I'm not a huge matcha fan but the Ube made it sweet enough for me to enjoy the flavor. We also ordered the Ube crinkles but they were eaten so quickly we did not get the time to take a picture!

This place is super cute! Lots of places to sit makes this a great place to visit so the friends and get some tasty treats! I got there at lunchtime and was really hungry so I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich and the ube cheesecake and ube flan cupcake Everything was delicious - the sandwich was a decent size and came with chips which was nice. I would get this again The ube treats were delicious and I can't wait to come back and try more!

Flan with ube muffin - a purple yam

Cafe 86, a Filipino dessert treasure. I've been to the one in northridge and this newer variation has been brought closer ti where I live. The employees are Filipino and Asian decent. Service was tolerable and wait time was average. The customer service wasn't the greatest but they were neutral. Inside is clean and desirable to look at. The selection of desserts included ube pastries, donuts, cookies and flan. We ordered the flan, ube muffin, ube brownie and Mai's corn square. All of which was overpriced. $6.50 each and they were just the square sized portions. It was sweet as expected but the texture was great. I ordered a black coffee but mine came with ice cream and foam on top which I did not order. It tasted better than full black, but was also pricey. About $7 for this medium sized coffee with cream. The other ordered was an ube upside down shake as they call it. This shake came with frosted flake cereal, flan, ube ice cream, vanilla cream and a bunch of small spherical colored raisins in the middle and bottom of the shake. It was very sweet and overpriced as well. It was $10 for the medium, but it tasted the best of the desserts ordered. Although the price is high, the desserts are better than most if not all in Santa Clarita. If you crave a sweet tooth, it might be worth giving it a one time try. I enjoyed the flavors, not the value. The flan and ube muffin was also a highlight. They had churros and other shakes like the Cookie Monster shake with vanilla shaved ice and other candies on it. Unique and certainly worth a trip, but I thought it mostly as a dessert place you would otherwise go to when you are with your girlfriend, boyfriend or just after eating dinner at a restaurant place.

    Upside Down Halo-Halo

My son has been in my ear about Cafe 86. I was meeting up with a friend on Thursday afternoon so I thought it would be a good time to give them a try. We arrived around 2pm. It was relatively quiet with no one in line and only a couple tables occupied. The team member at the register was nice enough to explain the difference between the Halo-Halos. Two upside-down Halo-Halo's came out to $24.03 (with tax). It didn't take long for our order to come out. Nice presentation and overall just ok. I didn't like the frosted flakes that got grossly soggy midway through and the leche flan was dense. The Laguna Treat from BobaBoba is better (and costs less). The team needs customer service training. They seemed mildly engaged in doing their jobs. We weren't greeted when we walked in or while at the register. No one smiled or thanked us at any point. The ambiance - cute decor and clean tables. It gets busy and quite noisy around 2:45-3pm when the high school gets out. This lasted for about an hour. It was finally quiet again, until an odd couple came in. The woman knew a young female team member who quickly ran out from behind the counter. They hugged and screamed in greeting each other. Then it turned into a selfie-fest, then group photos, then more selfies along with loud conversations right in front of the register/menu board. This went on and on. It was incredibly distracting/annoying and no longer enjoyable, so we left.
