They manipulate contracts without notice, rack up hidden charges, and refuse to cancel memberships to continue exploiting customers. === In my case, I miscommunicated with their staff, thinking I would no longer be charged. Subsequently, they reactivated my account and started charging me without notice. I was left completely in the dark and discovered they were hiding an accruing balance when I happened to stop by their health club. They callously refused to cancel my membership unless I paid off the fictitious balance first (I tried verbally in person, then through email), a clear violation of New York's Health Club Services Act, as I had moved more than 25 miles away from their clubs. When I requested a contract copy, they manipulated contract terms after signing, again without my knowledge or consent, as they did not inform me of these contract changes when they happened. The erroneous capitalization in their revised contract language is strikingly similar to the poorly written emails they sent me as I tried to resolve the issue, leading me to believe they very recently added the clauses to keep me trapped after I brought them my issue. The added clauses were that I was required to fill out cancel forms at the front desk and pay off my fictitious balance before I could cancel, seemingly to make it difficult for me as I have moved away. Attempting to resolve these issues with their staff was an exercise in futility. It took 21 days of dealing with an unprofessional and apathetic baby individual who ignored my concerns and refused to act in good faith. When push comes to shove, be prepared for the scammer's last-ditch flail: "I see your point a little. so what are you able to pay for the balance I will just get rid of the others so this can be done"

There are plenty of cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, and even a back room for yoga/stretching/CrossFit. The facility has plenty of room to accommodate it's members and is a very welcoming place. Don and Patti, the owners, really put their all into running their business and it shows by their ever constant presence and help towards members. Additionally, the gym is extremely clean and always stocked with beverages, snacks, and sanitization equipment. This is by far my favorite gym that I have been a member of.

I also enjoy that I get two guest passes per month with my unlimited membership, it allows me to occasionally bring my friends without them having to pay - I'm pretty sure that they are the only class-based gym that does this. I found this YMCA location on a whim while looking for a gym downtown, and I was honestly so…read moreimpressed. You can get validated underground parking in the garage, which is a huge plus. There's an elevator that takes you right to Level C where the YMCA is located, and you scan your YMCA key tag at the door for entry. Just make sure to check in at the front desk to get your parking validation sticker. It's a smaller location, but it has everything you need: group fitness studios, weight machines, treadmills, and ellipticals. The lockers have built-in locks, and the showers are individual stalls, which makes it really easy to work out and then get ready to head back out for the day. One of the best surprises is the open workspace right next to the gym. There's plenty of seating with tables and lounge areas, plus a fridge. There's also free Wi-Fi, so it's super convenient to bring your laptop or take a call and get some work done before or after your workout. I'm so glad I found this spot and definitely plan to come back regularly!

This place is so welcoming, encouraging and result driven. They truly care about each person they work with and the detail and attention that goes into young athletes is amazing to see. We watched our daughter become stronger and more self confident because of this place and the staff. We moved out of state recently and the one big thing our daughter "wished she could take with her" was Next Level. After we moved my husband contacted Joe Aratari asking him for advice about gyms here in NC. He actually took the time to do research about gyms here that were most similar to Next Level. This place goes above and beyond and I am so grateful my daughter had the privilege of training there. We will miss it for sure!
