Mr. Spurlock is completely disrespectful to women and talked down to at least this customer that had concerns. My mom got her fence redone by them and it was a messy experience the entire way. She was told it would only take about 2-3 days total, and it ended up two weeks. The first day they came and removed all fencing, dumped concrete mix on the driveway and left. They even asked her for safety glasses and equipment. They did not show up the next day, and she had to cover the mix on the driveway with her own tarp (because potential rain). She called him to check on the reason why her yard was left a mess with all of the wood taken down, he said he couldn't locate his crew. Finally he sent another crew out, they finished and he demanded quick payment. She called him back to look at the portion of the fence that most guests see as they enjoy her porch, it was uneven, splintering, and more. He was extremely disrespectful, walked off, and made rude comments saying he knew that this would happen and that it was not going to be fixed, it would last. So please don't go into business with this company. It is not worth your money. read more

I just saw an ad on Spurlock Concrete and Fencing stating that they are experienced, professional crews and insured. I get upset every time I look at my drive way poured by this company. About 3 years ago I hired Spurlock to replace my complete drive way. Within a week I had to call him advising that the drive way is cracking in several places. He said that it is the dry weather we were having and there is nothing that he could do about it. Today the drive way has cracks all over it and the wooden spacers are rotting and coming up. My old drive way looked as good or even better and I would have been $8000 + ahead. In the last 10 month I had another company look at it for repairs of the spacers and cracks. We are entering our 3rd year of Spurlock Fence owing us a court-mandated full refund for nonperformance. We have collected everything except $800 and he is refusing to pay the remaining amount. We filed a lien against him. John Spurlock collected our deposit and then refused to tell us when he would begin...or complete the job. Judge Ditta was fantastic and ordered him to pay us a full refund. I would never use a contractor who conducts business in this manner. read more

I paid a $3,400 deposit for a backyard fence and John Spurlock refused to give me a timeline or construction plan. I share a fence with 6 different neighbors and it was important that we notify them when the project would begin and end. Mr. Spurlock refused to give me a timeline. I asked for my deposit to be returned and he once again refused. I have a pending lawsuit against him. I would not recommend this company! read more

DO NOT use this company. I just wanted to add my experience this past week with Spurlock. I used him for one job about 1 year ago because my neighbor contracted him and we had no problem. It was on this second job (one year later) with another side of our fence that his angry, crazy side came out. He broke my main water line and told me it was a private line and that he is not responsible ( my new fence company just told me it is a public line so he is responsible). At the end of the job, he charged me for the repair, left a huge hole and a complete mess of trash and piles of dirt. I asked him to complete the job (fill the hole, clean trash and level the pile of dirt) and that I'd only pay him half until he was done. He went nuts when he heard that. He sent me rude and unprofessional texts, when I met him he was yelling at me, hit the fence with his fist, threatened to take off the gate and not return it. read more
