Great job. Next we had a tree in the front that had been hit and split by lightning about 20 years ago. It was becoming a hazard, so we decided to take it down before it fell on our home. I called Lance again. He was ready to work and while he was trimming the trees on the side of the house, he discovered they were rotten from carpenter ants. So they had to come down. He wanted to plant magnolia trees, but I am not a flower kind of girl. So we planted red maples. He redid our plant beds in the front and planted some boxwood bushes. Then they mulched and put flagstones all around. He had a subcontractor come out to grind the stumps. The house looks naked without the huge trees, but it is for the best. We are very happy. Wasn't cheap, but now we won't have trees fall on our house, fence, or power lines. He was reasonably priced.

His work is unprofessional, and his ethics are questionable. He frequently shows up late, is often absent from the site, and sends someone else who only works for 2-3 hours a day. The promises he made were not fulfilled: He only partially leveled the field, promising to finish when preparing the sub-base for the artificial turf. He dug only half of the trench. He never installed the drainage system or grass. Usually, you pay for work completed, but this contractor demands payment upfront. If things go wrong, you will lose your money. Overall, his unprofessionalism and unreliability are not worth the hassle. Look elsewhere for your landscaping needs. Just so you know, this contractor scammed me out of $4300 for the work shown in the pictures. He lied, made falae promises, and said anything he could to get the money upfront. Then he didn't complete the jobs and tried to extort more money.

D&J removed these encroaching limbs. I had D&J remove one small palm tree on my property that was leaning so far over that it was going to fall over soon. I called this company to do some landscaping at my parents' house. After speaking with someone, who…read moremerely answered the phone "hello," rather than identifying himself or the business, I got pricing. I then told him I wanted to move forward with their services. He told me he would contact me again the next day to schedule a walk through of the yard so they could determine how many shrubs, flowers, etc. we'd need. I indicated that I was in a rush because the landscaping needed to be done within three weeks. The next day came and went. Then a week passed, then another week, but I did not hear from anyone with Republic Landscaping. I followed up, but did not get any response. Obviously this is not a serious business, and I would not trust them to do anything, let alone my landscaping.
