We felt this could greatly improve our home, and a designer was needed to get the best return on the work. Kaitlyn was essential to our process. Preparation is Key. We used photos and ideas from magazines, websites and other sources to show your designer. We started by identifying our "needs" and "wants". Then we went to determine what's most important to you to help manage costs. The team walked through each item on our list to understand function and cost. We went shopping to look at fixture options. Having a general idea of the fixtures you like (tubs, sinks, etc.) is helpful, as their dimensions affect the design. It's best establish a budget range so the designer can make recommendation. Kaitlyn helped us through the process, and we went over budget so my tips may help. She offered alternatives however we like what we like. The best part of the process was the communication. The portal used to send updates worked great. Kaitlyn allowed us to express our ideas, preferences, and concerns clearly and honestly. She took all of that and worked out a layout that was far beyond our dreams. She kept us actively involved in the design process and provide timely feedback. All the right steps were taken during the design process. TheRemodelGroup maintained open communication with us and helped us create a beautiful and functional bathroom design that hopefully will meet our needs and enhance our home.

They followed through and met all the goals we mutually set. What really impressed me was how they accommodated some special needs we had. For medical reasons, I have to be able to take a bath approximately every 72 hours, though 48 is better. They made sure to set things up so that I never had to go more than three days without tub access. We did have a problem with one supplier, Kohler. They sent two subtly different colored shower wall panels. Though we looked at them outside before installation, because we hadn't checked them side by side once indoors, we didn't realize the mistake after installation took place. Kohler not only sent the wrong colored panels, they continued to shoot past every single delivery date they gave us for months. We were supposed to get the panels at the end of November. They didn't arrive until March and it upped the cost of the project because THE Remodel Group had to demo out what was first installed and then install the proper product. Because I approved what we saw before it was installed, they could have told me "Not our problem, you need to pay for it," but they didn't. They cut their rate for the demo and reinstall to labor only. Even months after the project was done, THE Remodel Group continued to advocate on our behalf for Kohler to reimburse us for that extra cost and yesterday, Steve delivered the check in person. While the project did have delays, it was out of THE Remodel Group's hands. Every single person I've ever talked with about having a contractor work on the house has had horror stories about their contractors. While we did have a problem with the project, THE Remodel Group was absolutely perfect. We recommend them to anyone and everyone. They will be our first and only call when we want to remodel our other bathroom and kitchen in the future.

Contracted Revive to add an addition to our home. During construction we ran into multiple…read moreproblems. #1 - The foundation was poured one foot short without our knowledge. Their concrete sub contractor needed room away from the deck to remove his forms, which is understandable but making the addition a foot short was not an option that wold work for us. Instead of informing us about this issue, they allowed their subcontractor to pour the foundation not to plan without letting use know, and acted surprised when I called them out on it being short. We would have gladly had them remove a portion of the deck (something they had to do anyways) but instead had to have a cantilever engineered to fix the issue that caused a month plus of delays. In the end it was fixed, but if I wouldn't have pointed this out they would have continued with construction of the addition with it being a foot short. Unacceptable. #2 - Our 27ft long addition is 1 3/4" out of level from one end to the next. In other online review platforms they have suggested this is something I could have fixed before I installed the hardwood floor... Well this means the floor would have been above the height of the entry door and 1 3/4" of self leveling concrete or shims is not a viable fix. There are multiple other things I could talk about, like making the space for the vanity too short to fit even after I pointed it out to the multiple times, the continuous subfloor they built from the bedroom to living room and mudroom to living room are all 1/4" off in height because they did it in sections and where unable to make them transition correctly. Im sure its not malicious, they are generally nice people and I did appreciate the work the crew did, but they where not responsive to issues/criticisms and tried to blame us or others for issues that simply where their lack of attention to detail and mismanagement. There seems to be a disconnect between work being done and the front office which makes everything a mess. If you're planning a big project and want someone who is detailed oriented, or can simply make things level, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Below I have attached a picture of the cabinet at the far end which had to be "shimmed" with a 2x4 to make level with the rest of cabinets along wall.

In a nutshell: Don and his crew at Revive were professional, punctual, communicative and made the process of our first ever remodel as stress-free as possible. Now some highlights: * Don helped us through the initial design and layout process without being pushy in any way. * He was very patient with any changes that we made. * He came regularly to see first hand how things were coming along. * He addressed any concerns or questions we had promptly and never had a "wow, that was a stupid question" or "you just don't know how the process works" or "I'm the boss, you should trust me" type of attitude. Don is honestly one of the nicest, most patient, cheerful guys (who also knows his stuff) that you'd ever want to be in charge of tearing your kitchen apart to put it back together again! * His wife, Laurie who is in charge of invoicing and scheduling, did an excellent job of communicating any invoice changes and payment due dates. * His crew members were always on time, hard-working, cleaned up at the end of the day, communicated with us as the process went along and stayed on schedule. The demo of our kitchen/family room occurred during the Jan. 2017 snow storm and they only cancelled one day and even asked to make up for it that Saturday. Every other day that week, they worked full days, struggling to get their vans out of our driveway and culdesac at the end of the day. One day, Don even showed up with a show shovel to clear our walkway and driveway for them. WOW! * Every sub contractor hired by Revive was skilled at their particular craft and punctual. * We had some issues with our cabinets (not Revive's fault) and Don truly went above and beyond to make sure every mistake was corrected to our satisfaction. He was very patient with our frustration and validated every concern. Looking back, we really feel that he wasn't going to get a good night sleep until we were happy. After this experience, we would never consider using any company other that Revive Remodeling LLC for any future projects. We really cannot say enough good things about them......especially after hearing horror stories from some of our friends. You don't want to use just anyone to dismantle and reconstruct the home you have worked so hard to purchase and maintain!

It was a pretty big job and was kind of expecting it to be a hassle based on past experiences I've had with other contractors, but this one actually went super smooth start to finish. From the first visit they gave off a solid vibe. Straightforward about what would be done and what kind of timeline to expect. I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell or talk in circles like some others do. Once the work started they kept that same energy. showed up when they said they would and stayed on track. I've had jobs before where people just vanish for days or don't say anything when things change, but with these guys, I always knew what was happening. Communication was probably one of the best parts. They'd actually check in and give me heads up if something needed a decision or if a delivery was running late. I made a couple last minute changes during the process (moved a light, swapped a fixture, small stuff) and they didn't act like it was a huge issue. they just worked it in and kept moving. no drama. Quality wise everything turned out great. the tile work in the shower is super clean, no uneven edges or grout lines. cabinets lined up perfectly, paint was solid. You can tell they actually care about doing it right. Price wise, they weren't the cheapest quote i got but definitely not the highest either. and after seeing how it all turned out, the value was totally there. no sketchy surprises on the invoice either, which I appreciate. Overall just a really good experience. they made a big renovation feel low stress and everything turned out. Will100% recommended them to a couple friends.

We hired Alex's company to completely renovate our two bathrooms (an ensuite and a hallway bath)…read more VERY satisfied with the work he and his team did for us, taking two very outdated and ugly spaces and making them beautiful and 100% more enjoyable. The project was largely cosmetic -- no relocation of plumbing aside from the shower pipes in the master -- but we did remove everything and replace it new. I was responsible for purchasing most fixtures (vanities, mirrors, lighting, faucets, etc) while Alex showed me available finishes (tile) at his showroom over on the eastside and brought those to the jobsite. While it was daunting searching all of the internet for those elements, I did like having that level of control with the design. Keep that in mind, though, if you are NOT comfortable making styling decisions. Alex communicated so well with me and my husband and among his subcontractors too. We were never surprised by a schedule change or an unexpected absence. Julia, who runs the office, also was quick about making updates to paperwork and replying to my questions. Compared to other bids for the project, Alex's pricing was the most competitive and I feel totally satisfied with the value we paid. Without a doubt will ask him to bid on our next big remodel. Ultimately our projects ended on time: one full month from start to finish. Although the first half of the reno ran a little long, Alex and his team made up time with the second half to meet the firm deadline (houseguests).

Throughout the design process, Mosaik's team listened to our ideas, our pain points, and desires and steered us to a design that fit within our existing footprint AND increased functionality and circulation ten-fold. Our whole -house renovation included: finishing the basement with two bedrooms, a lounge, a bathroom and new utility room; a complete remodel of the main floor including creating a connection between the new laundry (brought up from the basement) and our dream kitchen. Superior had a competitive price, but it was the way they handled the bid process that sold us. Matt was knowledgeable and very unsalesman like. He didn't pressure me or make a hard sale and was patient while we decided how to move forward with this very major project. He just patiently and efficiently answered every question either in person or over text and email. Alanna in the office was great at communicating throughout - from start to finish. She confirmed our appointment for the bid, even sending me a picture of Matt beforehand so I'd know who to expect, then sent me many informational guides, forms, receipts, etc. throughout the process. She never missed a beat and was so understanding and helpful while I tried to choose paint colors - helping out where my colorblind husband could not! Our house turned out to be a rotten mess with no insulation beneath the original siding, and Matt and his crew really problem solved to help us get it fixed without going too far out of our budget. They made it manageable. When we decided how to move forward, they got it done quickly and correctly. It turned out to be a much bigger project than we expected, but our house is in such better shape now, and we've already noticed a difference in our electricty bill. Matt always caught things on walkthroughs that we didn't and made sure his crews came back to fix them, ensuring every detail was done right. They got our house looking so great. Artie was endlessly patient with my many questions during the initial discussion phase and showed flexibility and creativity in solving problems as we hammered out the plan for my exterior remodel. Both he and Matt (my project manager) showed a willingness to resolve my every concern to make sure I was happy with the result. When I interacted with the company office, both Michelle and Alanna impressed me with their clear communication and friendly demeanor. This really is a quality operation; they're honest and they stand by their work. The crew who came out to do the installation were amazing, showing that same level of professionalism and customer orientation. Mark, who headed up the installation crew on site, went above and beyond to make sure we had shared vision about trim and other details around some of the "quirky" places on my older home. Refresh Renovations did a GREAT job bringing our guest bedroom back from the dead. We had a pipe…read moreburst in mid-January, which flooded the downstairs guest bedroom AND the landing connecting the stairs leading up to the main floor. We didn't rush the repairs, because EVERYTHING had to dry out, thoroughly. By summer, we were able to start the recovery, researching and interviewing several companies including Refresh Renovations whose bid was on the lower end. It took about a month, from the initial wreckage removal to the last trim on the walls along the newly-restored and carpeted flooring. The insulation, drywalling, painting, and detailing were meticulously done. The different crews of workers were prompt, courteous, and thorough, and never left a mess behind. I kept thinking about that TV commercial for an interior refurbishing company, showing a badly flooded home that wound up looking "like it never even happened" when the recovery was complete. Refresh Renovations also has a follow-up program to check back in, over the next year, to see how their work has held up.
