Called ahead to get cost for a 1 hour massage and was told that,since there were two of us, they…read morewould charge $75 each for a total of $150 + tax. When we arrived, I advised the front desk attendant of my earlier call and the price quote and he confirmed that was correct. We then went to our spa rooms and waited at least 15 minutes before the massage therapists showed up. They then gave us a 1 hour massage, but when we went to the front to pay, a different attendant said we rec'd 75 minute massages and that the cost was $95 each + tax. We advised them we had made it very clear that we were getting 1 hour massaged and that we had confirmed the $75 price beforehand as well as upon our arrival. As we argued with the attendant, we noticed her English skills became progressively worse. We finally paid and left, but have filed a dispute with our credit card company. Apparentently, Magic Spa personnel thing it's fair to "bait and switch" their price quote or that it's fair to charge you for a 15 minute wait before your massage begins. WE WON'T GO BACK AGAIN!

And as a personal trainer I can tell that Melissa has an amazing understanding of the body, so I can be sure that I'm getting just what I need. Often I come to her feeling really tense after a long day of working with clients and sitting at my computer and she knows exactly how to make me feel relaxed, calm, and actually nicely enough a bit taller (which is a big deal for a short girl like me!). I've come to her a dozen or more times and have even sent my husband and a few of my clients there. They all come back to me raving at how amazing she was and how great they feel. They now see her regularly too. The best part about all of it though is Melissa herself. She has an amazing working knowledge of the body, can do many different types of massage, and she really gets to know you and understand what you're looking for. I feel so at ease with her and she makes me feel very cared for. You can tell she loves what she does and truly believes in it, because you're never just a number with her. I never feel rushed and she always takes it one step further by giving me a little tip on my way out the door, like a stretch that I can do to alleviate some of the tension I'm feeling in my neck. I purchased one, which does not expire until July 6th and today when I called to make an appointment was told that "there was a glitch with Groupon and he's no longer taking vouchers" but I could buy a massage for 50%. Clearly, Adam is using Groupon as a bait and switch - get customers in by allowing them to purchase Groupon vouchers, then not accepting them and instead offering a "deal" of a massage at 50% off. The customer is the real loser in the situation -- Groupon only refunds in "credit" toward other servics. I can see that the owner of this massage place figured out he could make more money by just offering his massages at half off versus taking the cut that groupon takes out. I support small business but NOT this one.
