They have beautiful lounge with standard seats, high chairs and bar seats. But they have recently finished up renovation of their patio and has opened it up for the season. The patio is beautiful with both standard and high chairs available. And on top of their friendly service, the DJ creates lively vibes. We tried their delicious, beautiful and colourful cocktails and you can even order your drink at the bar and watch it come to life. Their menu includes great shareable bites, amazing for a hot day in the patio. Their menu includes main dishes are a combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Indian and Canadian dishes. We shared "Classic Bruschetta", "Avocado Cranberry Chaat", "Mixed Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette" for appetizers and they were fresh and tasty. For main, we ordered "Surf & Turf" and "Lamb Rogan Josh". We really enjoyed watching the chef grill our steak in front of us in the patio. For dessert, we ordered "Chocolate Brownie" and "Tres Lech Cake". Completely revamped! The pics here are not updated i almost thought i went to the wrong place. Its became this modern bar with a dance floor and lots of screens for your favourite game without having to compromise food options. They have quite the menu. Definitely an addition for west enders! We never tried this restaurant. We were attending a show in Toronto and after we were going for dinner in Burlington. We called 3 hrs prior to make reservations but no answer. We went anyways and the Girl at the door asked if we had reservations? I said we have been trying for 3 hrs. She said we are not answering any calls. I said how are we to make reservations if you're not answering? Her reply was you should have called 3 days ago. The place was half filled. We had a party of 6 and they lost out on a $400 plus bill. I have posted on the website and my complaint was erased. I will never step foot into this place. The Management should train the little girl at the door not to be so sarcastic. My colleague from work and I went out to check out the "New and Improved" squire. Service was not bad considering our server lead with the fact that it was her "First Shift". Food took almost an hour and a half to come out (Pretty obscene for a Mac and Cheese and some Chicken Fingers)... an hour lunch break ended up taking just under two due to lack of attention and care for the customers. Steps of service need to be stressed with servers here and the management should be EAGER to compensate people for their time and should be willing to ensure that they're motivated to come back. "I hope your boss is okay with it" simply isn't enough. Nearly two hours - no discounts. No amount of sorry makes up for lost time. Will not be coming back. We had a large group for lunch. Many of us ordered off the 3 course pre-set menu. Great variety on the pre-set menu- something for everyone! The pre-set price was VERY reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. The food arrived, and it was delicious, Caesar salad- great garlicky dressing, burger- great size juicy, just delicious! Everyone got their meals in a reasonable time. Great job to our servers! They were pleasant and really lovely with our group. Went for a family dinner on Saturday when kids eat free. Service was friendly, and relatively prompt. Sadly the food was pretty bad - tasteless and greasy. We had the fish & chips (greasy, fries tasted sour - maybe the oil was old?) Yorkshire pudding sliders which were also tasteless (I ordered a side of gravy later in the meal hoping to add some flavour but somehow this was also bland and lumpy), and the kids meal pepperoni pizza looked and tasted like something you buy in the frozen food section at Costco. As we sat, not enjoying our food, we could not help but notice the terrible music - all the worst British songs from the 80s... not what you want to hear when having dinner, nor if you're there to catch the Leafs game (there were some fans sitting near us). We couldn't get out of there fast enough and the food we brought home in a take-out box will go in the trash. Other than the cheerful staff (thank you for the good service) we did not enjoy ourselves and won't be back. read more

Horrible service. Were forced into bar area although dining area not full. Four groups seated in dining area after we arrived. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come and take a drink order. Another 10 minutes before drinks were delivered while others were served before us. We were going to eat here but after such slow service decided to go elsewhere. Dec 15/19: Decent little pub with a good size menu. It's kind of a Sports Bar/English Pub combo with lots of TV's. Our server Tracy was very nice & had a great sense of humour. My main was the Steak Guinness Pie with fries. The pastry on the pie was good but not a lot of taste. Big size for the pasty. The steak/mushroom mix was good but again lacked taste. The meat itself was very tender. Although I ranked this a 3-star it's more like a 3.5-star. read more

I've always like Squires whether it was Ye Olde Squire or the new version Squires Public House. I think the former manager is now the owner of this establishment and it looks and feels the same but I think it's even better now. The food is still very good as it was before and it still has the same feel and the service is just as good as it was previously. Today I wanted to try something different from my former default choice of fish and chips so I went with what they had on the menu before but what I've never had which was the 40 Creek burger in reference to 40 Creek sauce, a sauce made from whiskey. This burger while barely under 16 dollars menu price (it's a thing I call 16+ burgers) drops just below that 16 dollar mark which would put it in the league of a few burgers out there namely a nearby establishment, Dymond's with their KSG but no the 40 Creek burger here is great and it's pretty much one of the most legit 15 dollar burgers I've ever had. Besides being on an Ace Bakery bun (love those buns for burgers), it has that famous 40 Creek sauce, onion strings/rings which are nicely and lightly battered as well as bacon all wrapped in goodness... oh ya there's a few veggies in there too. The 40 Creek ranks right up there as one of the best burgers to be had in all of Burlington. With the amount of pubs in Burlington that's saying a lot. Not only is the burger good but the fries are great. Yukon gold? Either way they're not your straight up fries and they go oh so well with this great burger. I have no idea why it took us so long to try this place, but it is now one of our go-to restaurants. The food is great with lots of beefy pub options including the steak and mushroom pie and yorkshire pudding sliders (one word of warning on the sliders: they are incredibly messy and a challenge to eat). I should try more items on the menu, but the first two tries were so successful I just keep going back to them. They satisfy my beef cravings. Prices and portions are reasonable when similar (chain) restaurants keep going up and up. Servers are generally friendly and I do not recall any bad service experiences. Service is usually reasonably quick too. (Update Oct 2019: hit and miss, sometimes it is quite a wait for a waitress to come by and sometimes they ignore you when checking on a nearby table. Seems frequently understaffed and one waitress in particular is not the best service). One big problem: their hours are not consistent. We went here one weekend and were shocked to find a note on the door saying they had closed at 6:00. More recently, we had driven by to see their door's usual hours said open until midnight, came back around at 11:00 and the doors were locked. It can be hit-and-miss catching them when they are actually open for some reason. If you, like me, have spent the last few years driving by Squires and never thought to go in, stop. Go in. Chances are you will not regret it. Update Oct 2019: We have begun running into problems here. They have a (potentially) great meatloaf but there is consistently not enough gravy. If you want more gravy, they charge you for it. They are definitely skimping on the portions - for an $18 meal, giving me a few cents worth of gravy so I can enjoy my meal would be helpful. There is a similar issue with the sliders which also often do not have enough gravy, and if you ask for more, they charge you for it. We were coming here frequently, but have been hesitating lately because of the gravy situation and the battle that ensues to get just a little bit more, just enough to enjoy our meal. They are definitely cheaping out on their portions to save a few cents, which is unfortunate when it is costing them regular customers. read more

This place has EXCELLENT lunch specials. For $14 you can choose from one of six entrees and a pint of beer or 6oz of wine. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the place is just cozy. I've only been here once so far, but I loved it and definitely plan on going back. I had a burger when I went, and it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Although my husband would disagree, I find the portions are a bit too big but that just means I get lunch the next day also, so not complaining. Heed the warnings that the vindaloo is very spicy, I love it but it definitely lives up to the heat a proper vindaloo should have. We were in the Burlington area and wanted to find something that seemed like an easy but pleasing meal without having to stray too far away from the highway to keep our travel window convenient. Squires Public House seemed to fit the need as it sits on Fairview Street, easily accessible to the Walkers Line exit of the 403. Beer list is all major brands, with the closest thing to a craft brew being Mill Street brands (which is now owned by Labatt). Given Nickel Brook brewing is literally just down the street, and the surrounding areas of Hamilton and Oakville can provide options including Collective Arts and Cameron's to name a few, it was disappointing to see no local representation. The food menu is large. Everything from sandwiches, burgers, and wings, to other classic pub food like bangers and mash, pot pies, and meatloaf. They also have a section of international fare like curry, tikka masala, and even pad thai. I typically get concerned when a restaurant tries to do too much at once, but admittedly this place was able to pull off what we saw and given the owner is of Indian descent it perhaps speaks to the credibility in the recipes beyond standard pub fare. Personally, I played it safe and stuck to the pub food. I had a "Canadian Burger", which is "hand-formed beef patty" with peameal bacon, regular bacon, and bacon jam all on top of it. The burger was massive and filling, and overall pretty good. When discussing our burgers with my friend, he commented on "the patty is huge", and while it was big, the actual flavour of the meat left me feeling there is room for improvement. However at $14.99 for this massive sandwich and a side of fries, the offer is still totally 4 star worthiness that this review dictates. All in all, what we were in agreement was that we all enjoyed our meals. Beyond that, with the wide variety of foods on offer, there is likely something for everyone here. So if you've got a group of hungry people in the Burlington area, I can give this a thumbs up of approval. While I have been mostly there in the late AM or early PM, I have had dinner here and I would say the meatloaf is a great "go to"! Our Favourite Place in Town!! Interesting food, good appetizer special on weekdays. Everything is delicious and so much is made in house - even the breads. I wouldn't usually want pizza at a pub - but theirs is delicious. All the breaded chicken products (fingers and burger) are my favourite. Super fresh - not frozen and always crispy. Wings come with a generous serving of fries (which most places don't do). All the beer choices you could want. An owner is usually onsite to take care of guests personally. This is one of the worst pubs I have ever been to. My buddy and I were looking for a decent place to hang out and have a beer but the beer selections were generic and disappointing. Wonder why they call themselves a pub. The menu is quite large and I ordered a chicken curry as pubs are supposed to do these well. The taste was absolutely horrendous. It was bitter and not at all spicy (I had requested the waitress to make it spicy). Also it did not taste fresh. The waitress was unsmiling and uninterested. For this reason I chose to not complain about my order, as I didn't want to be insulted by someone who simply just didn't want to be there and not doing their job. We need a good pub in Burlington. I will start by saying that we are regular customers of this pub and we enjoy the food and the service but tonight's visit was definitely below average. I ordered takeout at the bar, as usual and waited over an hour before the food appeared. I found out after I had ordered that there were members of a golf tournament in the pub and that subsequently the kitchen was slow. Attended Burlington Squire with two friends this evening. We all ordered the wing special with one guest ordering for her husband who was delayed. Restaurant was not busy although a number of dirty tables nearby. A fifth person joined us and ordered the wings also. First orders came out. Additional order came out. My dinner did not arrive. Staff offered no apology just indicated it was now being cooked. So while rest of party ate I was expected to sit watching and waiting on my meal. Poorly handled by staff. I did not wait and will not return. Previously had good service and food but we have noticed huge staff turnover and poor service in recent visits. Will take my business elsewhere. read more
