The plumber we dealt with for many years seems to be under new management because they wouldn't install something not purchased at their shop. They won't get any more of my business as well as all the plumbers who won't do a small job like mine. I found Adrian through Yelp and he showed up the next day at the promised time. (How long has it been since that happened to you?) He also honoured his quote even though it took more time than he estimated plus he gave us a senior's discount (YAY!!!). He takes VISA, a service that sometimes small businesses skip.The sink was left squeaky clean. What else can I say other than Adrian is personable and doesn't mind the homeowner looking over his shoulder while he works.

He didn't install the shut off valve that was to be accessible as I'm disabled and can't crawl under to shut off water.. he didn't clean up the lines of old valves leaving a potential water failure. He was pleasant, personable and took time to explain everything he was doing and show me what he was talking about. I ask a lot of questions and learned a lot of good tips from him. He made suggestions he felt would save me money down the line, but never once pressured me into doing any of the work. You can tell he's just an honest guy trying to do right by you. He charged more than the original quote, wasted two large pales of expensive Glycol without replacing it. He burned out a pump by running it dry for a month with the valves closed. He refused to replace, or pay for a new pump and instead blamed the electrician. He used flanges from the one brand attached to pumps of another - a complete miss-match so the system kept leaking. All he did was tighten the bolts ever tighter so the flanges became ever more out of shape and of course, the leaking continued. For over a year he made promises to fix his shoddy workmanship and never did, always making excuses that he was busy and would call us back. He never did call while we were continued mopping the floor wasting ever more Glycol. On my final phone-call he started name calling, saying things I'd rather not repeat here.

They came out and said it was fixed. It worked for three days. That's when the real problems began. I made numerous phone calls. No one answered, so I left messages. Some calls were returned, some were not. There were three or four no-shows. One time, a tech said he had to run to the shop to grab a part and would be right back. He never came back or called. I had to follow up myself. After waiting another week with no word about the part or a return visit, I called again and told them I felt I had been more than patient. I gave them one more week to fix the system or I'd call someone else. Still, nothing has been done. This started in July. It's October. The air conditioning still isn't fixed.

There was caution tape wrapped around it again assured there's nothing wrong with it, when the lift function was used it shot high pressure hydraulic fluid all over me soaking my clothes. When asked about what would be done to compensate my clothing as it was soaked and stained red I was told I would have to send a receipt I did nothing followed so I went to get my clothes dry cleaned to see if that would fix it as it was a sweater that my grandmother that passed away had given me, it was still slightly stained. Asked if he would at least cover the dry cleaning. Said to send him a receipt, waited a few months asked again and was told "you must not be as busy as I am" when I asked to pay for his clear negligence. If this is how he deals with such a clean at fault situation I can't imagine doing actual business with this business owner.
