I had read great things about Dr. Kindelan. I was told that my problem was moderate but I also have edema and pain. I was told that I would receive treatment in 2-3 weeks. It was explained to me that the insurance typically takes MAXIMUM 3 weeks to approve treatment. I was told that everything had been submitted on 6/22/26. However, by August 10th, I still have not received any treatment. On July 8th, I called insurance to check on the authorization and was told that NOTHING had been submitted. It was impossible to get answer as to why nothing was submitted to insurance. I asked staff if other people were having a delay in their treatment, and the staff told me "not that I am aware of." From there, it became apparent to me that I was not taken seriously. I felt judged throughout the wait for requesting my documentation, requesting answers as to why nothing was submitted and because I was complaining of pain. On their website, VIP claims that they offer "compassionate care" and "the highest level of care." However, this was FAR from what I received. The ultrasound technicians, front desk staff and PA were nice. However, Dr. Kindelan seemed to not want to deal with me. In addition, the controller (Tracy) called and scolded me for requesting documentation, that had been offered to me by her own staff (on a recorded line). Her tone was not appropriate for a call with a patient. I was stressed and struggling with my mental health this whole time. This experience truly affected me on a physical and mental level. Everything felt hard with VIP, from having to call a general number then get transferred and having to wait a significant amount of time to not receiving answers as to why everything was delayed. After waiting 40 days to receive treatment that never came, I established care with another clinic. Without even asking them to expedite anything, they were able to have my first treatment yesterday. The process from beginning to end was less than 2 weeks. They are responsive to my needs and call me with any update, which is how it should be. I never feel judged or wrong for requesting documentation or talking about my leg pain. Many people in my life have chronic variose veins since it is genetic in my family. I will make sure to never recommend VIP due to my awful experience.
