I won't understand any bad review on this company. I called this company on 12/18/23,stressed about a gift (a specific hard to find lens) I wanted to buy for my son ( for his Christmas Eve Birthday) I was skeptical about the company... mostly because it had listed on their website they had it and not only that they had it but at a decent price. is this place for real? or are they just going to take my money and the item will be all of the sudden out of stock once they have my money and I will wait for it to be back in stock, for forever! Well 100% not at all the case!! I spoke to Steven, an amazing customer service rep for the company! He assured me the company was legit, they had the lens in stock and would get it to me before the holidays. AND all he said was Fact! They are scammers! I bought a lens from them and when I received it I realized I bought the wrong product that cost $499.00, I returned without opening and they charged me over 50% of the cost for a restocking fee. read more

I ordered a lens via Walmart, and SSE was their 3rd party vendor. I received the lens overnight in shoddy packaging. It was not what I paid for. After contacting SSE, they told me to ship the lens back to them for a refund. I decliend, and took it to Walmart for a refund. This seemed shady to me. Never again. I looked for a camera and found one on Walmart's site. I used my company's reward points to purchase a gift card for Walmart so I could purchase this camera. When I looked at the item it did not mention anywhere that it was low on stock or out of stock. Instead, it let me add it to the cart and purchase it with no problem. Two days later I find out the item is delayed, when I asked the company for an update, they told me to cancel the order. When I inquired why, they told me the item was not in stock. I went to the company's website and not only did they have it in stock at the company but they have several different bundles that you can purchase that include the same camera. I emailed them several times asking for them to provide me with any kind of resolution and they failed to provide any help. Three days later they cancelled my order. I got scammed or they made a mistake and did not care about the customer. I will never purchase from SSE Photo & Video and it's going to be hard for me to purchase from Walmart now if they deal with companies like this. I also asked Walmart if there was a way to filter out non-Walmart items so I could make sure what I see is from Walmart and I was advised that was not an option. I would definitely recommend they require 3rd party companies to provide number of items in stock, a low stock warning or an out-of-stock message. I would also recommend Walmart allow customers to filter out third-party vendors to avoid making Walmart look bad. read more

Three days after I placed my order, the customer rep responded to me by email that the item was out of stock. The rep asked me if I wanted to order an alternative item, but I immediately asked for a refund because the item had been discontinued by the manufacturer and I was expecting a dead stock. Even after these communications, the product that I ordered remained "available" on their website. I realized they intentionally did so. SSE Photo Video is a scammer. Stay away. read more

Awful experience. Refused to let us return a $10,000 lens we purchased. Hung up on me when I called 4 times. Claimed to have a refund policy. Refused to give an RMA. 24 days later they said it is after their 30 day window when it is not. By far the worst experience I have ever had. I will be reporting them to BBB read more

I ordered a Sigma lens at a great price. I waited then called several times. I almost canceled but they said it was back ordered. called again and spoke with a guy . I told him I saw that they raised the price and I was waiting for a Lens. I even told him I was willing to pay the more expensive price to get the Lens sent since I have been waiting.. he put me on hold and went back and checked and found one and sent that out on the day. I purchased a Nikon DSLR camera ($2800) from this company. Found out today when I tried to register it with Nikon, that SSE Photo Video sold me a GRAY MARKET camera. Nikon confirmed it was sold to me by a NON-Authorized Nikon dealer and confirms it was not imported by Nikon and was not meant to be sold in North America. This means, Nikon will not work on it or do repairs. I would strongly suggest and advise against using this company if buying expensive electronic equipment read more
